Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said he will take up natural farming after retiring from public life and devote a considerable amount of time to reading Hindu scriptures, including the Vedas and Upanishads. The Home Minister shared his 'retirement plan' while speaking at the 'Sahkar Samvaad' event in Ahmedabad. Addressing the gathering, the Home Minister gave a sneak peek into his post-retirement life and said that after bowing out from public life, he will dedicate the rest of his life to the Vedas, Upanishads, and natural farming. Natural farming, also called organic farming, is a science-based technique which has immense benefits, he said. The Home Minister said, 'Wheat grown with chemical fertilisers leads to various health issues, including many lifestyle disorders like BP, diabetes, thyroid and life-threatening diseases like cancer.' 'Natural farming not only helps in making the body disease-free but also reduces one's dependence on medicines,' he added. Shah further said that natural farming also enhances agricultural productivity and shared his own experience of recording a 1.5 times jump in agricultural produce at his farmland. Months ago, the Home Minister shared his weight-loss journey and spoke about how his health underwent a big transformation on the back of positive habits, including the right amount of food and water, coupled with exercise and adequate sleep. Speaking on World Liver Day, he said, 'I have achieved a very big change since May 2019 till now. By having the right amount of sleep, pure water, food and exercise, I have achieved much in life. In the last 4.5 years, I have become free from allopathic medicines,' he said. He also urged the youth to follow a regimen of two hours of physical exercise and six hours of sleep to ensure good health, stating that they have another 40-50 years to live and contribute to the nation's progress.

New Delhi [India], July 9 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday revealed a glimpse into his post-retirement life, saying that he will dedicate the rest of his life after politics to Vedas, Upanishads and natural farming. Shah made these remarks at the 'Sahkar Samvaad,' held in Delhi with women from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and other workers associated with the cooperative sector. 'In front of us, there is a lot of work to be done on fertilisers. The cooperative sector should think about it. I have decided that whenever I retire, I will dedicate the rest of my life to Vedas, Upanishads, and natural farming,' Shah said. Highlighting the importance of natural farming, he added, 'This natural farming has such a good scientific use that it gives so many benefits.' Further, the office of Amit Shah highlighted how the cooperative sector has helped many farmers sell their products in the market. He gave an example of how some farmers are selling camel milk, which he said has medicinal properties. 'Miral Ben Rabari from Gujarat told Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri @AmitShah ji how farmers selling camel milk are profiting through cooperatives and how people are benefiting from the medicinal properties of camel milk,' it said in a post on X. Earlier, on the occasion of the fourth foundation day of the Ministry of Cooperation, a grand Sakhkar Samelan was organised in Anand, known as the Milk Capital of India, in the presence of Amit Shah and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Inaugurating various development works of the world-renowned Amul Dairy, Shah called for expanding the cooperative movement nationwide based on the five Ps - People, PACS, Platform, Policy, and Prosperity, said a release from the Gujarat CMO. Shah stated that the convergence of the fourth anniversary of the Ministry of Cooperation, the 60th anniversary of the National Dairy Development Board, and the 150th birth anniversary year of Sardar Patel has led to numerous initiatives in Anand through this cooperative conference. The Ministry of Cooperation has been working over the past four years on the foundation of the five Ps - People (service-oriented), PACS (strengthening Primary Agricultural Credit Societies), Platform (digital platform), Policy (new policies), and Prosperity (societal prosperity). Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the scope of cooperative activities has been expanding. (ANI)

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, one of India's busiest and most-active politicians, on Wednesday shared an unusually personal glimpse into his post-retirement also the Minister for Cooperation, is a central figure in Indian politics and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). We didn't know much about this earlier. Eating food free from chemical fertilisers means you may not need any medicines," Shah said during the Sahkar Samvaad, in farming, he said, not only reduces disease but also improves crop productivity."I have been practising natural farming on my own farm, and the yields are nearly 1.5 times higher," said the Home emphasised natural farming's ecological benefits too, saying, "When it rains heavily, water usually flows out of the farm. But with organic farming, not a single drop goes out – it seeps into the soil. That's because natural farming allows catchways to form. Excessive use of fertilisers has destroyed those catchways".Shah rued over the impact of synthetic fertiliser on farming."Earthworms produce natural fertilisers. But synthetic fertilisers have killed them off. These creatures are nature's own factories of urea, DAP (Diammonium Phosphate), and MPK (Monopotassium Phosphate)," Shah the event, he also spoke about his journey as a minister, emphasising how the Cooperation Ministry holds a special place for him."When I became the Home Minister of the country, everyone told me I had received a very important department.
