Maaman OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Soori and Aishwarya Lekshmi's Tamil action drama online
Maaman OTT Release Date: Soori recently headlined this Tamil film alongside Aishwarya Lekshmi, which, despite mixed reviews, emerged as a commercial success. Directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj, from a story written by Soori himself, Maaman is now ready to make its digital debut. According to Sakshi Post, Maaman will be streaming on ZEE5 starting June 20, 2025. Maaman's cast and crew Produced by K. Kumar under Lark Studios, Maaman also stars Rajkiran, Swasika, Bala Saravanan, Baba Bhaskar, Viji Chandrasekhar, Master Prageeth Sivan, Nikhila Sankar, Geetha Kailasam, Jayaprakash, Kalaivani Bhaskar, Melvin and Tamilselvi among others. This Hesham Abdul Wahab musical is cinematographed by Dinesh Purushothaman and edited by Ganesh Siva. Maaman's plot overview Maaman is a family drama about Inba (Soori), a devoted uncle whose world revolves around his nephew Laddu, the son of his sister Girija. Inba treats Laddu like his own child, but things take a turn when he marries Rekha (Aishwarya), a doctor who soon realises her husband is emotionally distant and fully consumed by his bond with Laddu. Laddu, used to being the centre of Inba's life, sees Rekha as a threat and starts acting out. From ruining their honeymoon to constantly interfering in their private moments, his disruptive behaviour creates tension. Rekha feels isolated in a family that refuses to see the problem, while Inba struggles to balance his loyalty to Laddu with his responsibility to his wife. Maaman's review The Times of India rated the movie 2.5 out of 5, and a part of their review read, 'Maaman touches on interesting potential themes. The strain of integrating into a close-knit family, the subtle power dynamics, and even a child's need for boundaries. But it rarely commits to exploring them with any real depth. Instead, it often defaults to another scene of the nephew being, well, a lot.'

This confusion was caused by the policies regarding ground passes. Initially, only pass holders were allowed in Chinnaswamy Stadium, but later, management announced that everyone could enter, causing confusion. One of the victims who succumbed to the tragedy was Tamil Nadu's Kamatchi. Aged 27, Kamatchi was from the Tiruppur district and was working as an IT employee in Bengaluru. She had gone to witness the Royal Challengers Bengaluru celebrations at the Chinnaswamy Stadium before things turned worse. Kamatch is the daughter of S. Moorthy and S. Rajalakshmi, the correspondent of Vivekanda Vidyalaya Matriculation School near Myvadi near Udumalpet. Both parents and other relatives of Kamatchi rushed to Bengaluru to collect her body and bring it back to their hometown and complete the final rites.

After a much-delayed OTT release, it seems the movies might finally see the light of day. According to a report by Sakshi Post, the action thriller Bazooka will soon be released on the OTT platform ZEE5. While an official date hasn't been made yet, the platform is expected to have closed the final deal for the movie's rights. On the other hand, Dominic and the Ladies' Purse was initially announced to release on Amazon Prime Video. However, the mystery comedy thriller had an average run at the box office with no updates on OTT release for quite some time. Now, the same report suggests that ZEE5 has taken over the rights and will soon be releasing the Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial for streaming. For those unaware, Bazooka is a Malayalam language film written and directed by debutant Deeno Dennis. On the other hand, Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, directed by GVM, focused on the tale of CI Dominic, a former corrupt police officer turned private detective. A wannabe Sherlock Holmes, the man comes across a simple case of a purse. Initially, disregarding it as being beneath him, he pursues the evidence along with his assistant but stumbles upon a rabbit hole of missing persons, murder, and a stalker concerning a classical dancer. The film had actors like Gokul Suresh, Sushmitha Bhatt, Viji Venkatesh, Siddique, Vineeth, Vijay Babu, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, and many more in key roles. Coming to Mammootty's work front, the superstar will next be appearing in the crime thriller Kalamkaval. The movie helmed by debutant Jithin K Jose features the veteran actor as the main antagonist with Jailer fame Vinayakan playing the lead. The film is said to be based on serial killer Cyanide Mohan's life and is likely to be released on August 1, 2025.
