Under the project, a 77km rainwater drainage network will be established in Fujairah, said Salem Mohammed Ali Al Maksah, Director of the Fujairah Public Works and Agriculture Department.
The project will also see the creation of 2 tunnels, one in Al Sharia area with a length of 1.2km, and another in front of Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital with a length of 1.4km.
The road works will also include lighting, signage, speed bumps, side parking, and pedestrian crossings with traffic lights on the Corniche, Sheikh Zayed Road, and Al Ghurfa roads. This will help regulate traffic and ensure public safety for drivers.
The project comes under the directives of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.
