I've tracked Amazon Prime Day for 11 years. Here are the 8 best early TV deals
I've always had an eye for what makes the best Prime Day deals on TVs and streaming devices, throughout my decade covering technology and sales events. I log in on Prime Day every year to find serious discounts on TVs from the likes of LG and Samsung, as well as super-affordable Fire TV sticks.
I've also spent time looking for deals on Samsung's The Frame TVs, the popular art televisions that turn that black rectangle into a digital picture frame when you're not streaming. Oh, and Prime Day is also a great time to save on the often-pricey OLED sets (some of the best TVs around) to get a discount on their enhanced contrast and heightened color. So, without any further preamble, here are the first eight Amazon deals on TVs and streaming devices worth your time and money.
Samsung 55-Inch The Frame TV (2024)

LG 55-Inch Evo C5 OLED TV
LG's latest C-series OLED TV is currently $200 off Amazon's list price (though it's actually $400 off the original MSRP), which is the lowest I've seen the latest of LG's bright OLED TVs. This set impressed us at CES 2025. Act fast, as inventory is running low at Amazon the last I checked.
Insignia 50-Inch Class F50 Series 4K Fire TV
Best Buy's Insignia brand is even getting in on the Prime Day shenanigans, with this 50-inch 4K Fire TV hitting a new low of $170 ($10 lower than it was a couple of days ago), for a whopping 43% off.
Hisense 75-Inch U8N Mini-LED Smart Google TV
This 75-inch version of our favorite midrange TV is currently $200 off — and $158 shy of its all-time low our review
Panasonic 65-Inch Z85 Series OLED 4K TV
This $802 discount on the first OLED Fire TV is the biggest sale I've seen on this set, which marks Panasonic's return to the US TV market. It's more than twice as much as the biggest previous discount CNN Underscored spotted, which was during Black Friday our review
Sony 65-Inch Bravia 8 II OLED 4K TV
Sony's one of the more beloved OLED TV makers, so I'm happy to see this $500 discount on one of its latest sets. The deal is technically even bigger, because the set was $1,000 more expensive for its first month on sale.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K
The 4K Fire TV Stick is the streaming device that most people who live within the Amazon (especially Amazon Prime Video) world will probably buy, and right now this 50%-off discount is nearly the best I've ever seen — a mere $3 shy of its record low. All of the products on this list are at or near the lowest prices CNN Underscored has ever seen, using price histories available online, along with our own records. Having hunted deals for this long, I know the difference between a new record low, a price that matches the previous low and one that just comes close. More importantly, these are all current TVs and streaming devices, including models we've gone hands-on with or tested ourselves, from Samsung's The Frame to Amazon's Fire TV Stick 4K.
