Saudi media minister visits Al Arabiya headquarters in Riyadh following full operational relocation
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari visited the headquarters of Al Arabiya Network in Riyadh on Sunday, following the network's full relocation of its editorial, administrative, and operational divisions to the Saudi capital. During the visit, Al-Dosari met with editorial and technical leadership at the network and reviewed the organizational structure, content production systems, and broadcasting operations. He was briefed on the network's editorial workflows and cutting-edge technology deployed across the facility's three main studios and three control rooms. Welcomed by Al Arabiya and Al Hadath General Manager Mamdouh Al-Muhaini and Deputy General Manager Zaid bin Kami, the minister toured the studios and newsroom areas, which are equipped with robotic cameras, virtual and augmented reality capabilities, and advanced live-broadcast systems operated by 230 staff members. Al-Dosari also reviewed upcoming developments at the headquarters, including five additional studios and five new control rooms currently under upgrades will feature media technologies being introduced for the first time, with the goal of improving content quality and enhancing visual storytelling for minister commended the network's editorial vision and legacy, stating that since its launch over 22 years ago, Al Arabiya has played a pivotal role in elevating Arab awareness through its rational, professional tone and rejection of populism and stressed that Al Arabiya's move to Riyadh represents more than a geographic shift — it marks a qualitative transformation that places the network at the heart of regional political and economic developments, allowing it to benefit from Saudi Arabia's world-class media thanked Al Arabiya's staff for their commitment and tireless work to complete the transition, praising their role in maintaining the network's credibility and leadership in covering rapidly evolving regional and global said the network's official relocation to Riyadh marks a strategic milestone aligned with Saudi Arabia's ambitions to expand its regional and global media added that the move enhances the network's access to decision-making centers, talent, and innovation in 2003 with the slogan 'To Know More,' Al Arabiya has built a global footprint with correspondents in key Arab and international capitals.

Kuwait, Saudi Arabia eye closer media coop.
Media KUWAIT, May 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi and Saudi Information Minister Salman Al-Dosari on Monday discussed ways of promoting Kuwaiti-Saudi media cooperation. The Saudi minister is in Kuwait to partake in the 28th meeting of the information ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries, held in Kuwait. During the meeting, both sides also tackled how to consolidate the media partnership and share professional and technical experience in the traditional and digital media in a way that contributes to buttressing the joint media message and bolstering its regional and international presence. They, further, looked into mechanism of cooperation in the areas of media training and qualification and share of media delegations, as well as joint programs and workshops that contribute to upgrading the efficiency of national staff and developing media content. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia ink agreement to fight money laundering
Listen to article Saudi Arabia's Presidency of State Security has approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Saudi Directorate of Financial Investigation and Pakistan's Financial Monitoring Unit to enhance cooperation in the exchange of investigations related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and associated crimes. The decision was taken during the weekly cabinet meeting held in Riyadh on Tuesday, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of Information Salman Al-Dosari stated that at the beginning of the meeting, the Crown Prince briefed the cabinet on his recent discussions, including meetings with Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, as well as a phone conversation with European Council President António Costa. The cabinet discussed Saudi Arabia's diplomatic engagements with various countries concerning global peace and stability and expressed satisfaction over ongoing negotiations with Japan. A key highlight of the session was the kingdom's confirmation that it would host the regional headquarters of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) for the Middle East and North Africa. The move is expected to strengthen efforts against terrorism and various forms of crime in the region. The cabinet also welcomed the final statement of the six-party Arab ministerial consultative meeting on Palestine, which emphasized the need for a lasting ceasefire and the acceleration of humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza. Several agreements were approved, including a security cooperation pact between Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Additionally, the cabinet endorsed MoUs with Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, allowing diplomatic and service passport holders from these countries to travel visa-free. In a structural change, the authority to issue licenses in the financial and accounting sectors was transferred from the Ministry of Commerce to the Saudi Authority for Auditors and Accountants. The session also reviewed the annual reports of various government entities, including the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, the Hail Development Authority, and the Food and Drug Authority.
