Over 6L farmers to receive 20th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi soon
Prayagraj: Over 6.32 lakh marginal and small farmers of the district are likely to receive the 20th instalment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi soon. The 20th instalment will be deposited directly into the farmers' accounts. Deputy director (agriculture) Pawan Kumar Vishwakarma said, "A total of 9,43,251 farmers are registered in Prayagraj district, and 6,32,693 farmers have received the benefit of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the district till now." He, however, added, "Till now, financial assistance of Rs 2151.6 crore was already given to them in the form of Kisan Samman Nidhi. Now preparations are underway to deposit the amount of the 20th instalment directly to their accounts." Officials claim that the number of marginal and small farmers is the highest in the country.
