Beyond Gemini, Samsung Galaxy S26 5G will likely let you pick its AI brain
As Samsung prepares for next year's flagship launch, it is reported to expand its AI reach for its upcoming devices. While we are accumulating the Galaxy S26 5G series leaks and rumours, Samsung is reportedly in talks with several companies to expand its AI services apart from Google's Gemini. Therefore, it is expected that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series could offer additional AI assistant options, instead of Bixby and Gemini. Samsung is expected to finalise a deal with Perplexity for integrating its AI chatbot. Here's what we know so far.(Bloomberg) Now, Samsung users will have greater chatbot support, as they will be able to decide with an AI assistant they want to use on a day-to-day basis. Samsung Mobile Division President and COO, Choi Won-Joon, has also confirmed the claims of the company 'talking to multiple vendors' for AI integration. Therefore, know what AI upgrades we can expect from the Galaxy S26 series Samsung Galaxy S26 5G series likely to get a major AI upgrade According to a Bloomberg report, Samsung is in talks with multiple AI companies to expand its AI capabilities for the upcoming Galaxy S26 5G series. It was highlighted that the upcoming flagship could see options for several AI assistants apart from Google's Gemini. Regarding the expansion, Choi Won-Joon said, 'As long as these AI agents are competitive and can provide the best user experiences, we are open to any AI agent out there.' Earlier, Samsung was also rumoured to be in talks with Perplexity for its AI chatbot expansion. Now, the recent report has stated that the companies are nearing finalisation. Samsung is also expected to invest in Perplexity while also bringing its AI capabilities to its smartphones. Now, users will not have to rely on any specific AI assistant for their AI interactions. If the deal pans out, these new AI assistants will be preinstalled on the Galaxy S26 series, similar to how we access Gemini. However, Samsung is yet to finalise the deal, and may reach out to other vendors as well before the launch. With AI expansion, Samsung is not only expanding its AI reach but also reducing its dependence on Google. Additionally, if the deal went through, Samsung's flagship models would also compete with Apple iPhones, since they rely on OpenAI's ChatGPT for AI tasks and search queries. Apart from this AI upgrade, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to get a major camera and performance boost. Reportedly, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to be powered by a Samsung-made Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. We may also get an upgrade to 16GB of RAM next year.

Alphabet Stock (GOOGL) Climbs Despite Samsung's Galactical Search for New AI Agents
Shares in Alphabet (GOOGL) edged higher today despite technology giant Samsung Electronics looking to give its customers more AI variety in its future mobile phones. Elevate Your Investing Strategy: Take advantage of TipRanks Premium at 50% off! Unlock powerful investing tools, advanced data, and expert analyst insights to help you invest with confidence. AI Diversity According to a report in Bloomberg, South Korea's Samsung is seeking other options outside of Alphabet's AI Assistant Gemini for its Galaxy devices. In an interview with Choi Won-Joon, president and chief operating officer of Samsung's mobile division, it was reported that it is already in talks with Microsoft (MSFT) -backed OpenAI and Perplexity AI, which is backed by chip giant Nvidia (NVDA), SoftBank (SFTBY), and Amazon (AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos. The main driver, according to Choi, is to give its customers more choice on its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphone line next year. Samsung's current line-up features Alphabet's AI model, like much of the rest of the field of Android devices. 'We are talking to multiple vendors. As long as these AI agents are competitive and can provide the best user experiences, we are open to any AI agent out there,' Choi said. As can be seen below, innovation, including those of rivals, is one of the key risks to Alphabet stock and its investors. Allay Doubts It is also understood that Samsung is nearing a deal to invest in Perplexity and integrate its app and assistant. Like rival Apple (AAPL), the Galaxy phone maker is looking to augment its own efforts at artificial intelligence with the best available from outside providers. Beyond AI, the mobiles-to-chips conglomerate is also reportedly evaluating new application processors for the Galaxy S26 and considering both Qualcomm (QCOM) Inc. products and its in-house Exynos 2600. For the recently released Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung used the Exynos chipset in a foldable for the first time. According to reports, the company has sought to reduce reliance on Qualcomm and allay doubts about the efficiency and thermal performance of its Exynos line. Is GOOGL a Good Stock to Buy Now? On TipRanks, GOOGL has a Strong Buy consensus based on 28 Buy and 9 Hold ratings. Its highest price target is $250. GOOGL stock's consensus price target is $214.56 implying an 11.65% upside.

Samsung Galaxy S26 display leaked: Check out the expected specifications, and more
Samsung Galaxy S26 leaks: Samsung Galaxy S26 leak is sparking fresh buzz as rumours suggest Samsung may retire its long-standing Plus model in favour of a sleek new Edge variant for the 2026 Galaxy S lineup . Leaks indicate three models in the S26 series: the base Samsung Galaxy S26, the S26 Edge, and the expansive S26 Ultra, each offering tailored display sizes—6.27‑inch, 6.66‑inch, and 6.89‑inch respectively. This shift echoes Apple's strategy with its iPhone 17 lineup, emphasising premium design, refined performance, and slim form factors. As Samsung looks to streamline its flagship portfolio and sharpen its competitive edge, anticipation builds for the full reveal in early 2026. Stay with us for what could be a turning point in Samsung's flagship evolution. Samsung Galaxy S26 expected launch timeline We may anticipate the Galaxy S26 series to debut sometime in early 2026, most likely in January or February, if Samsung follows its usual release timetable. Samsung Galaxy S26 display leaks The Elec, a Korean website, claims that Samsung is presently developing three Galaxy S26 versions. But there isn't a "Plus" model on the list. Rather, the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra are reportedly in the works at Samsung. The leak also discloses the display sizes: the S26 Ultra is anticipated to have the largest screen at 6.89 inches, the S26 Edge may have a 6.66-inch panel, and the standard S26 may have a 6.27-inch screen. These dimensions are derived from manufacturing information for components that are currently in production. If true, the report represents a significant change for Samsung. Since the release of the Galaxy S8 Plus in 2017, the business has regularly introduced a Plus model each year. Prior to it, the Galaxy S7 Edge was the model with the bigger screen. To date, Samsung has released nine different Galaxy S Plus models. However, because the Galaxy S25 Edge was added to the list this year, it appears that this was more than a one-time experiment—possibly a test to gauge consumer reaction. The basic S25, S25 Plus, S25 Edge, and S25 Ultra are the four phones that Samsung now offers under the Galaxy S25 line. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset powers them all. The Ultra receives a 6.9-inch screen, the S25 Plus and Edge have 6.7-inch panels, and the S25 itself has a 6.2-inch screen. Therefore, the Edge would become the mid-size choice if the Plus were to disappear. Samsung Galaxy S26 expected specifications Design: Apart from possible name modifications, there isn't any verified information at this time on particular design components like color schemes, materials (glass, metal, or a combination), or general aesthetic preferences. The titanium frame, which is now only available on the Ultra and Edge, may eventually be used on other models. Performance: Which chipset will power the Galaxy S26 series and in which regions are still unknown. According to one source, Samsung would "definitely" resume giving its own Exynos CPUs first priority in the S26 series. In particular, it appears to be the Exynos 2600. It's unclear, though, if this would apply to North America, which has only recently embraced Snapdragon chipsets, even when non-Ultra variants with Exynos were offered in Europe. It would be shocking if there were no Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 devices available in any area. In fact, according to a different source, Samsung and Qualcomm are collaborating to create their own version of the next Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship, most likely with the "for Galaxy" designation once more. Cameras: Up from the S25 Ultra's 50Mp periscope telephoto camera, the Galaxy S26 Ultra might include a state-of-the-art 200Mp camera. However, instead of two 200Mp sensors, there might be one. As more Chinese phone makers start integrating high-resolution periscope lenses into their top products, Samsung will be joining the trend. The S26 Ultra receiving such a significant telephoto improvement would be fantastic. In some places, the principal camera on the standard Galaxy S26 might have a variable aperture. This would adjust to various lighting situations, enhancing both low-light and bright daylight photography. Samsung has several options for implementing this feature. The tech behemoth might use a dual-aperture design similar to the 2019 Galaxy S9. More likely, Samsung would follow Xiaomi's example and provide a variety of aperture choices with the 14 Ultra. Although the exact sensor is unknown, an updated version from the same ISOCELL GN family is anticipated to replace the Samsung ISOCELL GN3, which has been in the last three generations of base models. The standard S26 is anticipated to keep the 50Mp main rear lens like its predecessor. Battery and Charging: A possible competitor for the S26 series is silicon-carbon battery technology, which offers the ability to increase battery capacities to the 6000–7000mAh range. Higher energy density is another possible benefit of this technology, which could result in longer battery life and quicker charging times. Even if the S26 Ultra makes the switch, it's still possible that its battery won't be more than 5500mAh. It's unknown if other Galaxy S26 versions will have silicon-carbon batteries or if the Ultra will be the only one with them.

Samsung Galaxy S26 sizes leak, lineup outlines similar strategy to Apple's iPhone 17
The Samsung Galaxy S26 models will be more of the same as their predecessors when it comes to display sizes. However, Samsung is reportedly ( translated source ) abandoning the Plus model and replacing it with the new Edge, a strategy similar to Apple's approach for the iPhone 17. According to the report, the sizes of the base Galaxy S26 , the S26 Edge, and the S26 Ultra will be pretty similar to their Galaxy S25 counterparts. To be precise, the phones will have the following sizes: Base Galaxy S26 : 6.27 inches : 6.27 inches Galaxy S26 Edge: 6.66 inches Edge: 6.66 inches Galaxy S26 Ultra: 6.89 inches It appears that Samsung will once again not be making its flagships larger, a decision that many users will be more than okay with. As of now, it seems that phone manufacturers have somewhat moved on from boasting about cameras and sizes, and are instead focusing on thickness and AI. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is currently up for pre-ordering, was heavily marketed as a super slim foldable compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Furthermore, Samsung once again talked about how it would provide the best AI experience on its phones. Though the Fold did see a camera upgrade, it wasn't anything groundbreaking: it just adopted the camera found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung has released a foldable that gives the industry a run for its money. | Video credit — Samsung The cancellation of the Plus model — and its replacement with the Edge — is a very similar strategy to what Apple is employing for the iPhone 17 . Apple will be introducing a new model this year, the iPhone 17 Air. The Air will be just like the Galaxy S25 Edge: focusing on aesthetics at the cost of some practicality. It will be also be replacing the iPhone Plus model due to poor sales. However, Samsung and Apple are diverging in other aspects. Apple is reportedly making its Pro models thicker so that it can pack more battery into their chassis. Meanwhile, Samsung will be making its phones slimmer still, and will not be opting for improvements to battery capacity just yet. $1120 off (53%) Pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at Samsung and grab a free storage upgrade on the 512GB model. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's battery capacity and primary camera details surface
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series isn't expected to arrive before 2026, but rumors about the lineup have been floating on the internet for some time now, with the latest talk centered around the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's battery capacity and primary camera. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra packed a 5,000 mAh battery, and according to GalaxyClub and UniverseIce, that's not changing with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, with the latter claiming that while the battery capacity remains the same, the energy density has been increased, making S26 Ultra's 5,000 mAh battery smaller than the S25 Ultra's. UniverseIce also states that the S26 Ultra could charge faster, but doesn't provide specifics. The S25 Ultra charges at up to 45W. I speculate that the battery of Samsung S26 Ultra has increased energy density, and the 5000mAh battery is smaller in size, but Samsung did not use the extra space to increase the battery, but continued to reduce the thickness of the body. I also think that the charging power of… — PhoneArt (@UniverseIce) July 2, 2025 Regarding the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's primary camera, GalaxyClub claimed that it will have a 200MP resolution, like the S25 Ultra, but it's unclear whether the camera will use a new sensor.
