Sandara Park shares Bohol pics as she welcomes summer in South Korea

It's summer in South Korea, but Sandara Park's mind is in the Philippines! On Instagram, the K-pop icon welcomed the summer with photos of her basking in the poolside heat in a resort in Bohol, donning a floral two-piece set and a knitted hat. 'So hot,' Sandara said in her caption. 'Hello Summer!!!' 2NE1 was in Manila in November 2024 for a two-night concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena for their reunion and comeback tour, Welcome Back. Sandara has also been going back and forth to the Philippines for various events and performances. In February, she started a trip with her favorite Filipino food. Sandara Park, famously known as a member of one of the biggest girl groups, 2NE1, recently opened up about her life as an idol and how her career has been since the group disbanded. She even delved into the details of the past by sharing how she came to know of the group's disbandment in the first place. Sandara talks about 2NE1's disbandment and more In a new interview with 1theK, the idol opened up about the emotional turmoil she had to face once she found out that the group was officially disbanding. She shared how the entire group had been extremely worried while working on the production of their last album, 'CRUSH', and last single, 'MISSING YOU'. 'The company said 2NE1 is over now. I think we were No. 10 on the chart. We were always No. 1, but now we were No. 10. We were sad, and the fans and the agency were sad too,' Sandara stated in the interview. She cited that the inevitable felt like it was near, as their singles, such as '' and '', were not performing well on the charts, and their popularity had dropped a lot in the public. She shared how one day the group's management agency just called them up and said that 'this isn't working'. She stated that the company told them that 'This album isn't going to work. Let's stop promoting now.' 'MISSING YOU' felt like a breakup song While talking about producing and working on their last project together as a group, Sandara detailed how even the lyrics of their single 'MISSING YOU' kept feeling like a 'break-up song'. She shared that the lyrics made all of the members extremely emotional and sad. She also said that '(Park) Bom and I cried for hours in the recording studio.' While the single ended up ranking at the top of the charts at the time of the release, 'CRUSH' still ended up being the group's last album before disbandment. Recently, however, the group had an official reunion and even finished up their 'WELCOME BACK' tour as well.
