Dakota Johnson shares bizarre dream about The 1975's Matty Healy
Dakota Johnson has shared a bizarre dream she had about The 1975's Matty Healy. The Hollywood actress explained the dream featured the band's frontman as a mass murderer who turned into an asparagus in a bid to avoid detection - and she revealed her former boyfriend Chris Martin told her it should be turned into a movie. During an appearance on the 'Good Hang' podcast, Dakota explained: "I actually had a dream the other night. "Matty Healy from The 1975 was in my dream and he was murdering people, and he was Matty Healy as himself. When the people were looking for him - they were cops maybe, he would turn into a piece of asparagus." She added of the dream: "I saw these two poles and a bed and I was like, 'Matty?' The sheets came down and it was him as an asparagus and Angelina Jolie as an asparagus. "They were getting married, and they left in a helicopter together as asparagus." She said she then told Chris about the dream, adding: "Chris was like: 'That's a really good pitch for a movie'." Dakota was involved with the Coldplay frontman on and off for around eight years and they are believe to have previously been engaged, but reports suggest they recently called off the romance for good. During her appearance on the podcast, Dakota revealed she recently adopted a new puppy named Tokyo from the Santa Barbara Humane Society in California and the pooch has been helping her cope with the loss of her previous dog Zeppelin, who died in December at the age of 17. She said: "We rescued her on Saturday from the Santa Barbara pound. I didn't plan on it. "I thought: 'It's gonna be a while [before I get another dog']. But then I saw her, and she's an angel." Dakota brought Tokyo along to the recording of the podcast and she added of the puppy: "She's a performer. Honestly, she has come alive on camera. "She normally hides in the back of her crate. She's really timid. And now she's like, 'Here I am' ... You're an actress just like your mom!" Dakota has yet to publicly address rumours of her split from Chris, but during a recent appearance on the 'Today' show, she shared her "non-negotiables" for dating in the future, declaring any future partner needs to be "just like, not an a******."

Originally appeared on E! Online Dakota Johnson has caught a new animal in her web. Less than a week after her breakup with Chris Martin was revealed, the Materialists star shared that she adopted a new puppy named Tokyo from the Santa Barbara Humane Society in California. "We rescued her on Saturday from the Santa Barbara pound," Dakota told host Amy Poehler during the June 10 episode of the Good Hang podcast. "I didn't plan on it." The 35-year-old went on to share that she was still coping with the death of her previous dog Zeppelin, who died in December at age 17, when she stumbled upon the brown-and-white haired pup. "I thought, 'It's gonna be a while,'" Dakota recalled. "But then I saw her, and she's an angel." And Tokyo is already warming up to her new home. In fact, Dakota—who brought her new BFF to the podcast appearance—noted that the doggo's playfulness inside the recording studio was a new development. More from E! Six days prior to Tokyo's big debut, multiple outlets reported that Dakota and Chris, 48, had called it quits after nearly eight years together. And while the Madame Web actress has yet to publicly address the split, she has shared what her dating non-negotiable is going forward. As she told Craig Melvin on the June 9 episode of Today, 'Just like, not an a--hole.' Another important trait her future partner should probably have? Loving dogs. After all, Dakota has previously detailed the crucial role her late dog played in her life. 'We've basically grown up together," Dakota said of Zeppelin during a June 2024 interview with TalkHouse. "He is extremely smart and sweet and perfect and soulful. He's always been a very healing dog for people, so I made him a certified emotional support animal. Which is just the sweetest thing ever.' Letters to the Editor: After L.A. elephants are whisked away in the night, 'animals need more reliable friends'
To the editor: It is disheartening to learn that Billy and Tina are now at the Tulsa Zoo, stuck in quarantine, rather than at one of the many sanctuaries eager to rehome them ('Elephants Billy and Tina whisked out of L.A. Zoo by night amid protests, arrive in Tulsa,' May 21). My frustration upon learning that Mayor Karen Bass chose not to intervene compounds my frustration with animal advocates who engage in partisan politics and expect Democrats to help animals. Animals need more reliable friends. I lived in Pacific Palisades from the time the Rick Caruso development opened there and saw Caruso regularly, always with his beloved dog by his side. I have appreciated his support of the Santa Barbara Humane Society. And I can't help but wonder whether he would have spoken out for the two elephants who've already spent decades in zoos and deserve a true retirement on hundreds of acres. Animal advocates should learn his stance on that, and his willingness to get involved in animal welfare issues, before the next election cycle. Karen Dawn, Santa BarbaraThis writer is the director of animal advocacy nonprofit DawnWatch. .. To the editor: Reading about the L.A. Zoo's secretive midnight moving of its beloved elephants Billy and Tina — largely to dodge public protest and reporters — I am reminded of the time another L.A. institution did essentially the same thing. A Los Angeles Times Magazine article titled "The Death of Marineland," dated Aug. 9, 1987, recounts the night earlier that year when the new owner of Marineland sold its star attraction killer whales, Orky and Corky, to Sea World San Diego. According to the article, "The orders that had come down the day before were accompanied by strict warnings against leaking the news. ... Marineland's new owner, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, had ordered the famous whales shipped out that night." Twenty-two days later, Jovanovich abruptly closed the park and fired its 300 employees. Orky died the next year, in September 1988. Fortunately, his mate Corky is still alive in San Diego at age 60. Here's hoping Billy and Tina will thrive in their new home at the Tulsa Zoo. Paul Robert Coyle, Valley Village This story originally appeared in Los Angeles Times.
