Sonoma County court sentences man to 34 years in prison for child sex crimes

(KRON) — A South Carolina man was sentenced in Sonoma County Superior Court to 34 years in state prison Tuesday for multiple child sex crimes. The man, 20-year-old Jordan Evans-Ramirez, of Boiling Springs, pled guilty to multiple crimes committed against two 13-year-old girls, including forcible sexual assault on a child, possession of child pornography and human trafficking of a minor. Bay Area woman caught using n-word in viral TikTok: 'I'm not racist' The Santa Rosa Police Department began investigating the case in February of 2024, when Evans-Ramirez used social media to coerce a 13-year-old girl into sexual acts by threatening to release explicit pictures of her to her friends and family, according to the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office. 'At the sentencing hearing Tuesday morning, a statement provided by the initial victim noted the significant psychological and physical trauma Evans-Ramirez had inflicted on her, and how she will remain impacted and fearful of him for the remainder of her life,' the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office said in a press release Thursday. Man who allegedly gunned down 2 people at Vallejo encampment captured: VPD In December of 2025, authorities found a second victim, also 13 years old, while investigating Evans-Ramirez's social media accounts. Evans-Ramirez lured the second victim to isolated locations and sexually abused her, coercing her into sexual acts and offering her drugs and money. 'Messages retrieved from Evans-Ramirez's accounts also revealed disturbing fantasies of violence and domination, underscoring the deliberate nature of his crimes,' the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office said. The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Alex Fisher. The investigation was led by Detective Matt Sanchez of the Santa Rosa Police Department. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. 81-year-old with dementia vanishes in CA. ‘Superstar bloodhound' saves the day

When an 81-year-old California woman with dementia was nowhere to be found, it was up to a 'superstar bloodhound' to save the day. The Santa Rosa Police Department got a report about the woman who went missing at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, police said in a May 21 Facebook post. Officers scoured the Oakmont area for the missing woman, but 'despite their best efforts, they couldn't find her,' police said. 'That's when Dolly, the superstar bloodhound, stepped in,' police said. The K-9 joined the Cotati Police Department in October 2023 and 'specializes in finding missing individuals,' Cotati police said in a Facebook post. Dolly searched the area for the missing woman with her handler, police said. 'With her keen nose and determination, Dolly tracked the missing' woman down just six doors away from her house, police said. The woman was found safe and returned home, police said. 'Thank you, Dolly and Cotati PD, for another successful mission,' police wrote. Users on Facebook were also quick to applaud Dolly with some calling her a 'hero.' 'Wow. That's amazing!' one user commented. 'Good girl, Dolly.' 'Love this! That's a very good girl,' another wrote. Santa Rosa is about a 55-mile drive north from San Francisco.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from 'severe head and arm injuries.' They were taken to a local hospital where they are listed in critical condition.
