Episodes will be released on November 27 and Boxing Day ahead of a New Year's Day finale. Last November, Netflix revealed key details for the final episodes of smash hit series Stranger Things. The sci-fi horror drama takes place in the 1980s and debuted in summer 2016. Set in fictitious small town Hawkins, Indiana - this location becomes central to the show's overall mystery. Oscar nominee Winona Ryder leads the ensemble cast, playing the role of Joyce Byers. In addition, actor David Harbour - who is ex to Lily Allen - portrays Jim Hopper, the town's police chief. Millie Bobby Brown emerged as the breakout star, with her role as Eleven - a teenage girl with psychokinetic and telekinetic powers. Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp and Sadie Sink also have starring roles.

'OMG OMG OMG': 'Stranger Things' fans in frenzy over finale trailer
Netflix has released its first major trailer for the upcoming final season of its cult show "Stranger Things," teasing the return of beloved characters, as well as the biggest villain to date. Around two and a half minutes of footage, viewed 3 million times in four hours, gives viewers many visual clues, but little overarching plot to go by. "Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna," Netflix describes in a synopsis placing the timing in autumn of 1987. "But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding." "OMG OMG OMG," "Screaming crying throwing up" and "someone hold my hand" were among the all-caps comments on Netflix's post of the trailer on Instagram. Three years in the making, the fifth season promises to conclude the saga with one of its biggest 1980s throwbacks yet: Linda Hamilton, the actor best known as Sarah Connor from the "Terminator" films, is set to join the cast. Hamilton is no stranger to plots involving saving the world, having done so three times as Sarah Connor in three "Terminator" movies alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. Linda Hamilton channels her iconic Terminator character in big-screen return
She vowed never to star in the Terminator franchise again, but Linda Hamilton appears to channel her iconic character from the franchise as she makes her return to the big screen. The Hollywood star walked the red carpet in New Orleans, Louisiana, overnight at the screening of her new sci-fi film Osiris, which marks her first movie in six years. The 68-year-old almost looked unrecognisable in a pretty pink dress at the Prytania Theatre, looking in stark contrast to the gun-toting, bad-ass she's known for in the Terminator films. Nonetheless, the actress can still pack a punch, playing a Russian militant Anya in the film who comes to the aid of a group of US Special Forces who've been abducted by an alien space craft. In the action-thriller, Hamilton's role echoes the Sarah Connor character she played in three of the Terminator films opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger: The Terminator and two of its sequels, Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Terminator: Dark Fate. The latter was released in 2019 and Hamilton has only appeared on TV projects in the six years since, including a recurring role in the mystery comedy-drama Resident Alien. But now she makes her return to the big screen – and she only had 10 days notice to join the movie after another actor was recast because of a medical issue. 'It was hellish for a while,' Hamilton recently recalled to ScreenRant. 'Because my character is the one that really explains the story. There are gobs of Russian coming out of my mouth. But it was fun! It's fun when you have to think on your feet.' 'I worked my tail off, and we had a fantastic time. It was great... it was a dream job.' It comes after Hamilton vowed never to star in a Terminator film again following the 2019 offering Terminator: Dark Fate. When asked by The Hollywood Reporter last year what was more likelier: her returning as Sarah Connor or AI writing the next Terminator movie, she didn't hesitate in her reply: 'AI writing the next Terminator movie. And they kill me off before we start. That's the best scenario,' she said. Hamilton was also married the blockbuster franchise's director and producer James Cameron from 1997 to 1999. When doing press for Terminator: Dark Fate in 2019, the star – who never remarried – revealed that she had been celibate for 15 years. 'I love my alone time like no one you've ever met,' Hamilton told the New York Times at the time. 'I've been celibate for at least 15 years. One loses track, because it just doesn't matter – or at least it doesn't matter to me.'

She starred in The Terminator (1984) and two of its sequels, Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and Terminator: Dark Fate (2019). Linda was married director and producer from the franchise James Cameron and revealed back in September 2019 that she was celibate for at least 15 years after their split. She told The New York Times at the time: 'I've been celibate for at least 15 years. 'One loses track, because it just doesn't matter — or at least it doesn't matter to me.' Linda added, 'I have a very romantic relationship with my world every day and the people who are in it.' Hamilton divorced her Terminator director Cameron in 1999; they had only been wed for two years. The couple share 29-year-old Josephine Archer Cameron. James wed his Titanic star Suzy Amis in 2000. He has had a total of five wives. Coming up Linda also has a highly anticipated role in the upcoming final season of Netflix smash hit Stranger Things. She is set to portray Dr. Kay as the fifth and final season will begin streaming in three parts releasing on November 26, December 25, and December 31, 2025.

If it's too hot for a handbag to hold it together, what hope do I have? Anyway, the comments made me laugh a ton: If anyone needs me, I will be peeling myself off the fabric of my couch, much like the poor, disintegrating strap of that bag. Stay cool, y'all. Today I learned that monarch caterpillars do this, and that I, too, would almost definitely be more stupid than a bird: Like, I would cry? I would feel so bad, and then the caterpillar would be like, "SIKE!" And then I'd be like, "You got me this time, caterpillar!" Somebody call Sarah Connor, we have found our savior in the war against the machines: One thing about me is I love birds and think they're so stinkin' cute. Damn, bro is already 15 minutes in. RIP.
