Teacher invited boy to eat in her classroom because he was struggling to fit in...then raped him, cops say
A middle school math teacher who invited a struggling student to eat lunch in her classroom groomed and raped him, prosecutors allege. Sarah Jacas, 32, allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old boy in her classroom at Corner Lake Middle School in Orlando, Florida during the school lunch hour. The alleged statutory rapes occurred between December 2022 and April 2023 when the victim was a student at the school, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by WKMG. He and Jacas began eating lunch together at the start of the academic year 'because he had issues fitting in and associating with the right crowd', the warrant states. He told police the pair grew close and alleges Jacas started to 'isolate' him from other students. Their relationship turned physical, with the pair sharing first hugs and cheek kisses before Jacas allegedly started molesting him. The abuse cumulated to rape just before Spring Break 2023 when covered the classroom windows with active assailant curtains, laid a pillow down in a corner and had unprotected sex with the student, the affidavit claims. Jacas, who is married and has a 12-year-old son, was arrested on Monday and jailed. She was released Wednesday on a $19,000 bond. Jacas allegedly raped the boy just before Spring Break 2023 during the school lunch hour. She reportedly covered her classroom windows with active assailant curtains, laid a pillow down in a corner and had unprotected sex with the student (file photo of Corner Lake Middle School) Jacas raped the boy in the same manor for three to four consecutive days, according to the affidavit, FOX 35 reports. She would also direct the victim, a virgin, on how to have sexual intercourse, investigators allege. She and the boy would also text outside of school hours, often sharing what the boy's mother called 'abnormal' messages late into the night. The victim's mother reportedly caught them messaging once around 1am and instructed them to both stop, so Jacas created a fake Instagram account instead. She would send him 'dirty' messages through the social media platform, with the pair communicating exclusively in code, the affidavit states. The numeric combinations 115 and 150 meant 'I miss you' and 'I love you', respectively. A high five emoji symbolized a kiss. In one message, Jacas told the boy: 'I just had sex with my husband and it wasn't the best but I imagined it was you.' Her husband eventually found out about the relationship and the married couple reached an 'agreement' that she would stop seeing the boy, the report states. Jacas then called the victim from an unknown number to tell him her husband discovered the affair and threatened to report her. She instructed the boy to 'lay low' because her husband was 'angry'. The victim claims Jacas did not return to the classroom in the remaining weeks of the school year. The boy, now 16, finally reported the alleged abuse to police on June 10 this year. He called Jacas on the phone in the presence of police on June 16, which eventually led to her subsequent arrest this week. Jacas has been charged with statutory rape by an authority figure, lewd or lascivious battery by a custodial authority and lewd or lascivious molestation by a custodial figure. A judge ordered that she cannot have any contact with the victim or any witnesses in the case, WESH reports. She also cannot have unsupervised contact with her own child. Jacas will not be returning to teach at the school, pending the outcome of the investigation. Corner Lake Middle School Principal Paul Browning sent a message to the school community, which was obtained by TV station, on Wednesday confirming the incident. It read, in part: 'One of our employees has been arrested after allegations of misconduct from two years ago were reported. 'I can assure you I take all allegations very seriously and there is an ongoing investigation by law enforcement and the district's Office of Professional Standards. 'Although I cannot discuss employee matters, please know this person will not be returning to campus pending the outcome of the investigation.'

Boy, 14, Ate Lunch in Teacher's Classroom Because He Had 'Issues Fitting In.' Now She's Accused of Drawing Curtains and Raping Him
Sarah Jacas allegedly molested and then raped a student over the course of multiple months when the 14-year-old boy started eating lunch in her classroom The teacher allegedly created a Instagram account to contact the student Police arrested Jacas on June 23 and charged her with battery, molestation and statutory rapeA Florida teacher is facing a litany of charges after she allegedly raped a middle school student in her classroom. The Orange County Sheriff's Office arrested Sarah Jacas, 32, earlier this week on multiple counts of lewd or lascivious battery and lewd or lascivious molestation as well as a single count of statutory rape by an authority figure, according to an arrest warrant obtained by PEOPLE. The alleged victim, now 16, spoke with deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Office on June 10 and alleged that Jacas had sexually abused him in 2023 when the then-14-year-old attended Corner Lake Middle School. Jacas and the alleged victim began having lunch together in her classroom at the start of the 2022-23 school year "because he had issues fitting in and associating with the right crowd," according to a copy of the affidavit for arrest warrant, which was obtained by PEOPLE. The alleged victim told investigators that he and Jacas grew closer during these lunches, but alleged that she began to "isolate" him from other students over time. He also said that the two began to express physical affection for each other, but alleged that what started off as chaste hugs and kisses on the check soon grew into what the affidavit alleges was molestation. According to the affidavit, Jacas and the alleged victim would text outside of school hours. But one time, at 1 a.m., the boy's mother caught them exchanging messages and instructed both to stop texting, saying it was "abnormal," the affidavit alleges. The educator stopped texting but also allegedly created a fake Instagram account where she would 'dirty talk' with the alleged victim, the affidavit claims, further alleging that she wrote, "I just had sex with my husband and it wasn't the best but I imagined it was you.' A week before Spring Break in 2023, the alleged victim told deputies that Jacas covered the windows of her classroom with active assailant curtains, laid a pillow in the corner and had sexual intercourse with him. Jacas allegedly did not provide the boy with protection, according to the affidavit. Jacas allegedly sexually abused the boy each day before Spring Break, but after the break commenced, Jacas' husband — with whom she shares a son — learned about his wife's alleged behavior, according to the affidavit. Subsequently, the husband posed as Jacas and contacted the teen on Jacas' secret social media account, the affidavit alleges. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? Teacher's husband discovers her sex acts with 14-year-old student, FL cops say
A man found out his wife — a middle school teacher — was engaging in sex acts with a 14-year-old student and threatened to report her, Florida news outlets reported from court documents. Now, 32-year-old Sarah Jacas is charged with statutory rape by an authority figure, two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and two counts of lewd or lascivious battery, according to Orange County records. The Corner Lake Middle School directory shows Jacas taught math at the Orlando school. The school district did not respond to a June 26 request for comment. Investigators said the student came forward to report Jacas had sexually abused him when he was 14 during the 2022-23 school year, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by WESH. The teen used to eat lunch in the teacher's classroom because he struggled socially, WESH reported, and deputies said the teacher began taking advantage of him. The student said Jacas sexually abused him multiple times, including in her classroom during lunch, WOFL reported from law enforcement. The teacher's husband found out about her sex acts with the teen and threatened to report her, and the boy's parents also discovered their text messages, deputies said, according to WOFL. Investigators said Jacas moved their conversation to Instagram, where she texted the teen in strings of numbers that stood for affectionate messages, WKMG reported. The teen said 115 meant 'I miss you,' and 520 meant 'I love you,' according to the affidavit obtained by WKMG. Records show she was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff's Office on June 23 and posted bond two days later. The middle school's principal, Paul Browning, sent a message notifying students' families of 'allegations of misconduct' from two years ago, according to WKMG. 'Although I cannot discuss employee matters, please know this person will not be returning to campus pending the outcome of the investigation,' he wrote in the message obtained by WKMG.
