Quincy man arrested in Weymouth bank heist, has history of robbery convictions, authorities say
The suspect, who was wearing a face covering and gloves, pointed the firearm at the teller several times and ran to other teller windows demanding more money, authorities said. When the teller told him the cash box was empty and showed him an empty cash drawer, the suspect fled with roughly $947, the statement said. Advertisement Investigators identified a Jeep Grand Cherokee linked to the bank robbery through security footage and later discovered the vehicle was allegedly registered to Legere, authorities said. Legere was convicted of an armed bank robbery in 2011 in Norfolk Superior Court and served three to five years in state prison, authorities said. In 2010, he was convicted of armed and unarmed bank robberies in Braintree, Hanover, Duxbury, and Plymouth and was sentenced to three years in state prison. Boston Police dog tracks down loaded firearm in Roxbury after shots fired incident, police say

Boston Police Department Shortly before 8 p.m., officers went to Magnolia and Intervale streets for reports of gunfire, according to police. After officers secured the scene, additional teams were called to search for suspects, victims, or other evidence, according to police. The police dog Logan and his handler helped with the search when Logan led officers to a firearm hidden in dense brush inside Ceylon Park, police said. Advertisement The gun was identified as a black Glock with two serial numbers and a .40 caliber magazine capable of holding 15 rounds. Fourteen .40 caliber rounds were found inside the magazine, according to police. The shooting incident remains under investigation. No arrests were announced as of Tuesday. Trash collector injured in hit-and-run crash in Southborough, police seeking driver of car that fled scene
The vehicle, a gray Nissan Murano, fled the area following the collision, according to a Southborough Police. The worker, whose name has not been released, went to the police station following the incident, police said. He was then taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Advertisement 'His injuries were not life-threatening at all, but he was banged up pretty good,' Newell said. Video from inside the garbage truck captured the crash, but police said the footage is 'too pixelated' to identify the vehicle's license plate. Hiker, 70, dies after ‘medical event' on trail in White Mountains, authorities say
The Army National Guard was called, as Perrault was almost three miles from the nearest road, authorities said. Shortly after, a Blackhawk helicopter and crew took off from their hangar in Concord, authorities said. At the same time, Appalachian Mountain Club personnel and Conservation Officers began hiking to the location of the incident on Valley Way Trail. Advertisement Around 3:15 p.m., the Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter picked up Perrault and took him to an ambulance at the Gorham Municipal Airport in Gorham, N.H., authorities said.
