The art of not repeating himself

To stay by your friend is what true friendship means for Sarbh. The actor believes its one of the few choices we make as individuals. 'You don't choose your family, but you choose your friends. I've also had fights with my friends. For instance I had a fist fight with a friend but it wasn't in anger. It was more like a play fight. Fights can also happen in the heat of the moment. As long as you can discuss the root cause of whatever has led to it, you as friends can come out stronger. If that's not on the table for discussion, then you'll come out weaker,' he says. The actor was accompanied by Amit Sadh in Pune Highway. Their camaraderie was no less than magic. 'The credit goes to the environment the directors created. The actors they took kind of matched the sincerity that was required for this film,' he adds. Sarbh was also seen in south superstar Dhanush's latest hit Kuberaa. The movie also stars Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The plot focuses on a beggar who undergoes a dramatic transformation while exploring greed, ambition, and moral dilemmas in his journey. The south debut came with its own challenges. It meant learning a different language. 'It was great working in a different language. It was difficult. and undoubtedly challenging. I had to mug up the lines.'

Jim Sarbh: Nagarjuna brings this easy vibe on the set

Jim Sarbh and Nagarjuna Jim Sarbh , known for his performance in Padmaavat and web shows like Rocket Boys and Made in Heaven, made his Telugu cinema debut this year with Sekhar Kammula's Kubera. The film, which also stars Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna, marked a linguistic leap for Sarbh, who took on the challenge of delivering his dialogues in Telugu. 'Learning the lines in Telugu was a challenge. It was like training a different muscle; otherwise, the words would swim in my head, so I really had to do the homework,' the actor said, reflecting on his experience with the language. Discussing his experience of working with the ensemble cast, Sarbh revealed that while he didn't share many scenes with Dhanush, he had the opportunity to work closely with veteran actor Nagarjuna. 'I didn't have many scenes with Dhanush. We were kind of kept separately for most of the film. I had a lot of scenes with Nagarjuna sir and he's such a great guy. He brings this easy vibe on the set as he's so relaxed,' he said.

‘Home was this ship': Inside Jim Sarbh's not-so-minimalist Spanish beach villa

If Jim Sarbh's sprawling Delhi mansion in the series Made in Heaven had you drooling, his Spanish Villa in Maharashtra's Dahanu is straight out of an architect's dreams. In an episode of Where the Heart Is on Asian Paints YouTube channel, the Padmaavat actor took us on a tour of his beachfront abode. Let's take a look. As the video begins, Sarbh reveals that the stunning Colonial-style mansion is a family property. His father was the captain of a cargo ship, and by the time he was two, he had 'sailed all over the world.' His nomadic lifestyle made him feel like he belonged to every place that he lived in, yet he felt like an 'alien' in all. 'Home was this ship,' he shared as he introduced his villa. The villa features wide arches, open spaces, and courtyards – surrounded by a large garden. A grand staircase leads you to an outdoor swimming pool on the first floor, with fantastic views of the sea. An open home through and through, the actor's hospitality and love for hosting are evident in the warmth that echoes off the house's walls. ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW VIDEO Not a fan of minimalism, as it has taken away 'an eye for design', Sarbh has decorated his space with cabinets and ornaments that are full of character. His favourite area in the house? The verandah, where he can get the feeling of being 'inside and outside' at the same time. Favourite time of the day, however, is the evening, when the water recedes and allows an opportunity to walk across the mud flats. He added that the property's highlight is its proximity to the beach. The heritage property boasts a strong theme of preservation as well, with Sarbh revealing that the home has been lovingly cared for by him and his family for decades, which is visibly apparent in the way the paint on the woodwork and layers on the walls shine with lustre.
