Gadwal: In a significant infrastructure development, the Government of Telangana has sanctioned ₹121.92 crores for the construction of a High-Level Road Bridge (HLRB) across the Krishna River, downstream of the Priyadarshini Jurala Project. This bridge will connect Revulapally village in Dharur Mandal, Jogulamba Gadwal District, with Nandimalla village in Amarchinta Mandal, Wanaparthy District. A Government Order ( was issued on July 1, 2025, by the Transport, Roads & Buildings Department (R&B), marking the official administrative sanction for the project. The announcement has sparked widespread appreciation and celebrations across the Gadwal constituency, especially among the farming community and local leadership who had long awaited improved connectivity across the river. Ministers Honored for Fulfilling Their Promise Congress Gadwal Constituency In-Charge Smt. Sarithamma expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, District In-Charge Minister Damodar Narasimha, District Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari, and MP Mallu Ravi. Sarithamma Distributes CM Relief Fund Cheques to Support Needy Families in Gadwal
Gadwal: In a compassionate gesture aimed at supporting underprivileged families, former Zilla Parishad Chairperson and Congress Party Gadwal Constituency In-Charge Sarithamma, along with former Municipal Chairman B.S. Keshav, distributed CM Relief Fund cheques at the Congress party's Sarithamma Camp Office in the district headquarters. Beneficiaries from Gadwal town received a total of Rs. 1,63,000 through the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The individual recipients and their respective amounts include M.D. Azmat (Rs. 60,000), Sunkanna (Rs. 60,000), Gouni Ramudu (Rs. 19,000), Venkatramulu (Rs. 12,000), and Jayaprakash (Rs. 12,000). Speaking on the occasion, Sarithamma stated that the government is extending financial aid through CM Relief Funds to support poor and needy families. Congress Leaders Join Muslim Community in Gadwal, Demand Immediate Withdrawal of Wakf Amendment Bill
Gadwal: In a significant political development, senior Congress leaders in Gadwal extended their full support to the Muslim community in opposing the controversial Wakf Amendment Bill introduced by the BJP-led central government. A massive peaceful protest rally was organized by the Wakf Board Joint Action Committee, drawing participation from citizens, social activists, and political leaders. The rally, marked by black badges and protest flags, began at Dargah in Dharur Met and concluded at the District Collectorate, where a formal memorandum was submitted to Additional Collector Tirupathayya. The memorandum demanded the immediate withdrawal of the Wakf Amendment Bill, which protestors claimed was detrimental to the rights and properties of the Muslim minority. Prominent Congress leaders, including former ZP Chairperson and Gadwal Constituency In-Charge Sarithamma and former Municipal Chairman B.S. Keshav, actively participated in the march. Speaking at the event, Sarithamma strongly condemned the central government, alleging that the bill is an attempt to illegally seize Muslim minority properties under the guise of legislation. 'The BJP government is introducing unconstitutional laws to divide the country and target minorities. We will not tolerate politics of division and will fight to protect every citizen's rights,' Sarithamma declared. She accused the BJP of undermining the Constitution and said the Congress Party stands for unity, secularism, and the protection of minority rights. She further urged people to recognize the bill as an assault not just on a community but on the foundational principles of the nation.
