‘Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 Teaser Pokes Fun at Cast Shake-Up: ‘Help Wanted'
"The faces may have changed, but my rules? They've stayed the same," Lisa Vanderpump says in a new Bravo clip In the wake of the cross-season drama dubbed Scandoval, 'Vanderpump Rules' overhauled its cast of characters around SUR owner Lisa Vanderpump going into Season 12. Bravo released a brief teaser for the upcoming season on Friday, poking fun at what came before to hint at what's coming next. The 15-second clip shows Lisa Vanderpump putting up a 'Help Wanted' sign on the door of her sexy, unique restaurant before looking at the camera and winking. A text card then states, 'It's time for a shift.' They've stayed the same,' Vanderpump says in the clip. You can watch the teaser for yourself, below. In November 2024, it was announced that Bravo's hit reality show 'Vanderpump Rules' was in for a total overhaul. Following two seasons of Scandoval, the show sought to build a new cast from the ground up around the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star. The reboot will also include a retrospective special looking back at the first 11 seasons of the show. 'The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,' Vanderpump said in a statement at the time. 'I can't thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of 'Vanderpump Rules.'' 'VPR's' big debacle began in the show's 10th season. At the time, Tom Sandoval allegedly cheated on his longtime girlfriend (and co-star) Ariana Madix — with her then-best friend, Raquel Leviss. Leviss herself, meanwhile, is the ex-fiancée of James Kennedy, who, you guessed it, was yet another cast member. You can see why they needed to reboot. The Scandoval drama continued into the show's 11th season, where Sandoval, Madix and Kennedy all returned. Leviss, on the other hand, did not. The scandal was big enough that it broke containment from the show itself, becoming a popular topic in tabloids and online circles. Since the news of the overhaul, Sandoval has been making appearances on other reality programs, such as 'The Traitors' and 'America's Got Talent,' while Madix is now the host of 'Love Island USA.' A release date for 'Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 has not been set. The post 'Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 Teaser Pokes Fun at Cast Shake-Up: 'Help Wanted' appeared first on TheWrap.

This 'Vanderpump Rules' star had a secret to rival 'Scandoval'
Before the Coldplay concert kiss cam, and before brassy Brat summer, a different kind of scandalous, salacious story captured the internet's attention: "Scandoval." A head-scratching affair between Tom Sandoval and Rachel (formerly Raquel) Leviss during Season 10 of Bravo's "Vanderpump Rules" in 2023 tore the cast apart. One of said Bravo-lebrities, Scheana Shay, was best friends with Sandoval's girlfriend at the time, Ariana Madix. The gang grew recognizable overnight. Hero and villain narratives sprouted like giant beanstalks. Anyone who dared challenge the prevailing narrative faced the wrath of a ravenous cancel culture. So when Shay showed Sandoval friendship the season after the Tom/Rachel/Ariana mess, viewers raised eyebrows. What kind of friend makes nice with the man who broke her friend's heart? Shay shares her side of the story in "My Good Side" (out now from Grand Central Publishing), which traces the Californian's childhood to her relationship with actor Eddie Cibrian and of course, her "Vanderpump Rules" trials and tribulations. But like any reality TV story, all is not what it seems. "I have always felt a calling to just share my lived experiences with the world, and I think that's why I love doing reality TV," Shay tells USA TODAY over a video call from New York. "But with doing reality TV, you only see one side. You only see parts of me, and this book shows all of me, the good side, the other side and everything in between." Scheana Shay says 'I didn't deserve the betrayal or the labels' Shay began her "Vanderpump Rules" journey as a Los Angeles waitress who dated Cibrian while he was married to "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member Brandi Glanville. (Cibrian is currently married to singer LeAnn Rimes.) Shay claims Cibrian gaslit her, insisting he wasn't married at the time. "I do wish that I questioned it more," Shay says. "That would have saved me a lot of heartache and embarrassment." Much like Hester Prynne, she said she felt the world slapped a big "scarlet letter" across her. Now, Shay dusts her shoulders off. "I didn't deserve the betrayal or the labels, and I feel like I'm finally done carrying shame that isn't mine," she adds. The reality star faced many heartbreaks in her life, from a friend's death by suicide to a miscarriage to the traumatic birth of her now 4-year-old daughter Summer Moon. Shay was diagnosed with preeclampsia and later HELLP syndrome (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelet count) and later postpartum obsessive compulsive disorder. She shares her daughter with husband Brock Davies, who dealt her yet another heartbreak. Scheana Shay finds 'strength in staying' and 'strength in leaving' after cheating Shay revealed toward the end of her memoir that in the wake of "Scandoval," Davies admitted cheating on her two years earlier while she was pregnant. Yes, reality shows give us an inside look at people's lives, but Shay chose to keep the truth about her marriage from nearly everyone while filming of Season 11. "I don't think our marriage was in a place where it could have survived that on that season," she says. "I'm glad that I kept that to myself for as long as I did, because it gave us a chance to really work on our marriage, for us, not for anyone else or anyone else's opinions." Shay walked a difficult tightrope: Should she support Ariana Madix full-stop, only later to seem like a hypocrite when news of her own relationship drama broke? Should she tell all and be slammed with opportunist accusations? Or should she try to play both sides? Madix "had every right to carry that narrative out. The focus needed to be on her. I also was still processing what I was going through. I was being very thoughtful about my daughter and how this could affect her, and I felt like at the time, I was not ready to open up about this," Shay says. Shay found strength in forgiveness: "I feel like there's strength in staying, there's strength in leaving and I needed to make the decision that was going to be best for my family and figure out if I'm capable of forgiveness." "As crazy as it sounds, I do trust him again, and I genuinely believe – and I'm sure people will say I'm naive – but I genuinely believe that he would never do this again, because he knows I would light him on fire and kick him out of the house." Scheana Shay believes in 'not letting your past define your future' Shay's manager introduced her to kintsugi, a Japanese art that pieces broken pottery back together using special gold paste to create something new and whole. Her single, "Good as Gold," is a nod to the practice and holds a deeper meaning about embracing our humanity. It's the ethos of her book: "turning pain into strength, scars into stories, and not letting your past define your future." Her future includes her podcast and YouTube channel, and perhaps a bigger role on "Vanderpump Rules" spinoff "The Valley," where she recurs. The original series will include a new cast for upcoming Season 12. If audiences learned anything, though, never count out a Scheana-ssance. "Whatever show it is, I will be on your TV screens," she says. "Not going anywhere."

Think twice before you mock the Coldplay kiss-cam couple
Something extraordinary happened yesterday. It was a viral moment to contend with Professor Robert Kelly's kids wandering into the room while he was in a BBC interview in 2017. And it could give Vanderpump Rules' Scandoval a run for its money. It all happened at a recent Coldplay concert in Boston, when a kiss-cam directed itself to a cosy-looking couple. Immediately, their stomachs dropped in horror to see their private moment projected onto the world stage, as they ducked out of the frame like criminals in CCTV footage. 'Ooh, look at these two,' said frontman Chris Martin, before acknowledging their dramatic reaction: 'Alright, come on, you're okay! Oh — what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy!' It turned out the latter is apparently more likely. Online sleuths did some digging and claimed the pair were married tech company CEO Andy Byron and his HR chief Kristin Cabot. It will go down in history as a meme-able viral moment. Don't get me wrong, I love that this has happened. I'm all for a global outbreak of schadenfreude. But as the rumour mill spins out of control about their private lives, I'm also left feeling uneasy about the power of a viral moment and the sheer global humiliation of being the subject of one. Yes, these two people were in a public place, seemingly open about their relationship. And concerts these days always have people on their phones filming throughout, so perhaps they absolutely deserved this. But most of the time at concerts, people on the big screen are willing participants. All lenses are directed at the stage and those who choose to be in the frame: it's often fans who queued literally all night to be on the front rail and crave the attention of their own big screen moment. Sometimes, proposals are even made. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Enter the kiss-cam: a largely US phenomenon that's the real-life version of some sickly TV show where women are expected to smile, giggle coyly, and have their big rom-com moment on the big screen. Dare I say, it feels pre-Me Too to trap what is often a woman under a mountain of public pressure to comply with the expectation of a kiss. In March, an NBA fan was caught on kiss-cam with a woman. She appeared to swerve his advances, and the internet expressed their sympathies for him. Not for the poor woman who was faced with either a forced kiss or being responsible for publicly shaming a friend. In November there was another viral basketball game moment, when a man and woman were caught on kiss-cam. She leaned in for a kiss, but he pushed her head down to his lap. While she did laugh, it was awkward and uncomfortable to watch. So now, because of the dreaded kiss-cam, we have two people who are being heavily criticised by the whole world for allegedly doing what roughly a quarter of all married people have also done. There's no excuse for cheating, if it turns out that's what either of these suspiciously shy Coldplay fans has done. But there are things which explain it, that the internet's lack of nuance does not cater for. Like when a Taylor Swift fan was in floods of tears reacting to the song Exile, and the whole online world ripped her to shreds over it. We don't know what in her life has happened which triggered this response, and yet we are resolute in our bullying. While everyone will know the worst of these people and revel in it – perhaps for the rest of their lives – no one will care to wonder about the best of them. I worry about their mental health, and that of their immediate family, and of course the allegedly cheated-on partners. Although the coincidental gotcha is seen as a perfect slam-dunk moment by the rest of the world, it's embarrassing for Byron's wife – even though it shouldn't be. Of course, it should be embarrassing for him, not her. It's kind of evilly delicious just how embarrassing this is for him, if safeguarding concerns are put aside. But we know how the world works: when a man gets caught cheating, it's an almost joke-fuelled atmosphere, which I've seen in response to this scandal. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if the biggest cheater in this scenario was a woman. (It's reported Kristen is divorced, while sleuths claim to have tracked down his wife.) While there's been outrage at the CEO, comments of course turned misogynistic against her. I've seen X posts calling her a 'corporate s**t', a 'bitch', and 'f***ing whore'. If history tells us anything, it's that no one's laughing when a woman is the cheater. I love celebrity and reality TV show scandals as much as the next person, but just remember: these people aren't some desperate influencers strutting into the Love Island villa. More Trending They aren't signing up for the publicity. They haven't asked for virality or fame. Their success isn't shaped by their celebrity. They simply went to a concert. Yes, if it turns out either or both are cheating I'll be the first to call them selfish. But they are also just flawed people living their lives. Viral moments are an unnatural modern phenomenon, and leave no room for nuanced conversation or empathy. So let's just try and be a little sane about it, shall we? Jax Taylor steps away from ‘The Valley' season 3
Jax Taylor has confirmed that he will not return for Season 3 of The Valley, citing his need to focus on his recovery and mental health. In a statement shared with Variety, Taylor explained that after a challenging year and numerous conversations with his team and the show's producers, he had made the decision to step away from the Bravo series. 'I'll be stepping away from the next season of 'The Valley.' Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting relationship,' Taylor shared. He added that taking this time was necessary for him to improve and become a better version of himself, particularly for the sake of his son, Cruz. Taylor, who recently turned 46, had been open about his battle with addiction, revealing in March that he had struggled with cocaine use for over two decades. His decision to step back from the show may also be seen as a way to avoid possible termination and leave room for a potential return in future seasons. The decision comes after a tumultuous Season 2 of The Valley, which aired its finale on July 22, followed by reunion episodes. Taylor's violent outburst in July 2024, in which he injured his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, and had a confrontation with production, was a key storyline of the season. Cartwright, who had separated from Taylor earlier that year, reported the incident, prompting Taylor to seek treatment at a mental health facility. Despite his time in the facility, Taylor's behavior continued to raise concerns, including aggressive text messages to Cartwright and an obsessive attitude toward her. Bravo's fanbase, already vocal about their discomfort with Taylor's behavior, has called for his permanent removal from the show. This sentiment was amplified on social media, with some viewers accusing Bravo of tolerating toxic behavior for the sake of ratings. In addition to his struggles on The Valley, Taylor's past behavior also led to his ousting from Vanderpump Rules after Season 8. Despite this, Taylor, along with Cartwright and other former Vanderpump Rules cast members, returned in 2023 to contribute to the popular Scandoval narrative. However, unlike others, Taylor did not appear to show remorse for his past actions, further alienating fans. As The Valley continues into its second season, Taylor's absence has been felt, and some cast members have suggested that the show has been fine without him. The Valley producer Alex Baskin previously stated that Taylor's recovery was a personal decision, and the future of his involvement with Bravo remains uncertain.

Scheana Shay Reveals Brock Davies Cheated While She Was Pregnant
Although Scheana Shay isn't regularly on our TV screens anymore, she's still dropping bombshells thanks to her upcoming memoir, My Good Side. In an exclusive excerpt published by Glamour on July 10, the Vanderpump Rules alum reveals that her husband, Brock Davies, cheated on her when she was pregnant with their daughter in 2021. According to Scheana, she was surprised by Brock's confession, which came after rumors of him having an affair with her former costar, Rachel Leviss, started surfacing. This also came hot off Rachel, Tom Sandoval, and Ariana Madix's 'Scandoval' cheating scandal in spring 2023. 'I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he'd cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer,' Scheana wrote. 'I had spent so much time fighting off my anxiety and convincing myself that just because Tom cheated on Ariana didn't mean Brock would ever cheat on me. Now, I was finding out just how wrong I was.' She continued, 'As I sat there, feeling completely sick to my stomach, he admitted that— atthe time—he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else. I use the word 'chose' because it was very much a conscious decision. No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed.' The Shenanigans podcast host also admitted that she was 'unable to contain her rage' concerning Brock's 'brief affair' with a woman at his gym, as she physically confronted him. 'I slapped him and threw a Rubik's cube in his direction, which he dodged,' she wrote. 'To this day, every time I see a Rubik's cube it triggers me, pulling me right back to this incredibly dark moment in my life. Same goes for any mention of an F45 gym.' Scheana and Brock tied the knot in 2022, but she was unsure whether their marriage would last after his confession in 2023. They have since patched things up, as Brock drunkenly wrote a letter 'a year after the affair ended' that 'included more specifics than I ever wanted, such as how many times they'd slept together, where they'd done it, and where they hadn't (our house).' She added, 'He also pointed out that it was purely physical, never emotional, and he always used protection. Gee, thanks!' The reality TV personality's memoir, My Good Side, is set to release on July 22. According to its official description, she 'delves into everything from the origin story of [Vanderpump Rules], to her struggles with fertility and pregnancy loss, and all the hilarious and heart-wrenching moments that were left on the cutting room floor.'
