Scheana Shay says Lisa Vanderpump gaslit her to 'launch her TV empire'

Scheana Shay has accused Lisa Vanderpump of 'gaslighting' her for over a decade ahead of the release of her upcoming memoir My Good Side. The TV personality, 40, worked for the restaurateur in the Bravo series Vanderpump Rules which she starred in for 11 seasons. However, earlier this year in January, the mom-of-one announced her new book and promised to spill the 'tea' on Lisa. Scheana also gets candid about her 2006 affair with Eddie Cibrian - when he was still married to Brandi Glanville. While on the topic, she also alleges that Lisa knew more about the situation than she initially disclosed. 'We all saw it play out on the show when I went up to her and she acts shocked that I was working her party with this guy's ex-wife who I used to date because I didn't know he was married,' she told Us Weekly for a new cover story. Scheana was referencing to her appearance in past episodes of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills - and claimed Lisa purposefully put her and Brandi together on screen in order to 'launch her TV empire'. has reached out to Scheana and Lisa's reps for comment. Scheana said: 'Up until about six months ago, that was the truth that I knew because that's what she told me. 'Now, I feel like she low-key used my real-life pain to launch her TV empire - and what an empire she has.' Scheana further alleged that it was difficult for her to believe that Lisa had no knowledge of the affair. 'I vividly remember when photos leaked of Eddie and I, there was a magazine being passed around the kitchen at Villa Blanca,' she explained, referencing Lisa's former restaurant. 'She gaslit me about it for a decade instead of just coming to me in the beginning. She doesn't make mistakes. She makes moves and then calls them coincidences.' Scheana later expressed that she wished the RHOBH star had been 'transparent' with her and admitted she 'always looked up to Lisa'. 'I've always admired her. Now I'm like, "Did I admire her out of fear?" I guess I would've just like to have agency in my own story.' But Scheana explained to the publication that their friendship allegedly began to cripple years after she had been cast in VPR. 'On season 6 of VPR, when James Kennedy told Katie Maloney that the outfit she was wearing wasn't flattering, I got a phone call from Lisa.' 'She didn't want to fire James, so she needed someone to stand up for him [at a staff meeting]. 'If you go back and watch, I'm getting a death stare from Lisa, like, "When are you going to speak up? When are you going to stick to the script?" That's when I stopped following her orders, and I feel like the relationship changed after that.' Earlier this year in January, Scheana announced her memoir and revealed that she would not hold back when it comes to her relationship with Lisa. And in May, Lisa broke her own silence on Scheana's comments during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. She said: 'Oh good Lord. Well, that's probably just to sell the book because she hasn't got anything else to say. 'Do you know what? I don't know, I've heard she's said some nasty things. Something nasty recently she said something like, I only call her when I need something. True dat, right? 'I've got 600 people I work with. I think the last time I needed her was when I invited her to my house to Teddy's birthday. So yes, that's when I called her.' In her memoir - which hits shelves on July 22 - she also made a startling admission about her affair with Eddie. Scheana previously revealed that she carried on a relationship with the 52-year-old actor years ago without realizing he was married at the time. And in an excerpt that was obtained by Entertainment Weekly, she admitted that her judgment was compromised when she was younger, as she never noticed 'a single red flag' with him. According to Scheana, she had just moved to Los Angeles in May of 2006 after graduating from Azusa Pacific University. The future TV star, who was only 21 at the time, wrote that she hoped to 'make a name for myself in the entertainment industry, whether that was as an actress, a TV host, or a news reporter'. Fortuitously, she met a real-life star with some success shortly after she got a job at a 'private member's cigar lounge' that doubled as a restaurant that was regularly filled with 'every A-list celebrity, director, writer, and actor' around. A few months into the job, she allegedly met Eddie at a Tuesday night poker game, and she claimed he returned weekly for the game. At the time, he was married to former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Brandi, whom he wed in 2001 and divorced in 2010. Scheana claimed that her connection to Eddie grew slowly over time, but she felt there was a spark right from the start. The idea that Eddie could be married at the time doesn't seem to have crossed her mind, but she also defended herself because there wasn't an easy way to casually track down intimate details about a person at the time. 'This was pre-social media, so it wasn't like he was posting pics of his family in matching pajamas in front of a Christmas tree,' she explained. Moreover, Scheana alleged that Eddie ditched his wedding ring whenever he went to the Tuesday poker game. 'To be clear, Eddie wasn't my boyfriend (at least not exclusively),' she emphasized. However, she did claim that they began a 'physical relationship' in late 2006. Another factor that blinded her from realizing that he was married was how they allegedly spent plenty of time in public with friends or on his boat, instead of trying to keep the relationship completely secret. She added that the 'frightening thing' about the relationship was that she thought she could easily 'end up with Eddie'. The relationship petered out when Scheana allegedly told Eddie she thought she was too young to be committed to a single person. Around that time she allegedly began dating the actor Jesse Metcalf, 'the sexy gardener from Desperate Housewives.' She claimed to have seen him as the title character in 2006's John Tucker Must Die and 'dream[ed]' of dating him - which became a reality in early 2007. Although she thought he was an 'awesome' guy and respected his focus on his sobriety, they grew apart and she allegedly began seeing Eddie again. However, she claimed a coworker later revealed to her that he was married, which she claimed he denied when she confronted him about it. Scheana explained how she never ended up at Eddie's home, which would have tipped her off that he was married. She later married Michael Shay from 2014 to 2017, and she tied the knot with her second husband Brock Davis in August 2021. The couple had welcomed their first child, four-year-old Summer Moon Honey, in April of that year.

The couple had welcomed their first child, four-year-old Summer Moon Honey, in April of that year. Scheana became a main cast member of VPR in 2013 through 2024. But it was revealed late last year that the 12th season of the Bravo series will have an entirely new cast. She has since made appearances in the spinoff series The Valley - alongside other stars including Brittany Cartwright.

Scheana Shay opens up about why she kept her husband Brock Davies' affair a secret

Scheana Shay has lived a large part of her life in front of cameras — the highs, the heartbreaks, the glitter, the group texts — all of it playing out for millions of Vanderpump Rules fans over the years. But some things, she held onto privately. Until now. With her debut memoir My Good Side due later this month, the reality star is finally opening up about one of the most deeply personal chapters of her life: her husband Brock Davies' infidelity. An excerpt from the book, shared just days ahead of its official release, confirms that Davies had confessed to cheating — a moment Shay has never publicly addressed until now. The choice to stay silent, she says, was intentional. Speaking on the July 4 episode of her Scheananigans podcast, the 40-year-old shared why she waited — and why she's ready now. 'There are a couple moments in this book that will really surprise people,' she told listeners. 'There's a lot about my past, my family, my earlier life experiences that I think the readers will be shocked by.' Shay acknowledged that fans — many of whom have followed her since the early Bravo days — may feel like they already know her. But what they've seen, she explained, is only part of the picture. 'You think you know everything about me,' she said. 'But after reading this book, you will — because you 100% do not right now. I can promise you that.' In her words, the public knows about '80 percent' of her story. Between the show, her YouTube vlogs, and podcast episodes, she's shared a lot. But the rest — the quiet griefs, the unspoken doubts, the parts of herself that didn't make it into the edit — those pages have never been written. Until this memoir. While Shay didn't go into detail about Davies' affair during the podcast, it's clear that her decision to speak now wasn't easy — but it was hers to make. The book, she hinted, isn't about scandal or spectacle. It's about truth, told in her voice, in her time. And after years of letting the world in, maybe this is the first time readers will really meet her — not just the version edited for TV or fit for a headline, but the woman who lived through all of it.

Scheana Shay says Brock Davies cheated on her while she was pregnant

Scheana Shay revealed her husband, Brock Davies, cheated on her while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer, who they welcomed in April 2021. In an excerpt from her upcoming book, My Good Side, the Vanderpump Rules star, 40, recalled the moment she learned her partner was unfaithful. 'I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he'd cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer,' she wrote. Speaking about her state of mind at the time, the star said: 'I had spent so much time fighting off my anxiety and convincing myself that just because Tom [Sandoval] cheated on Ariana [Madix] didn't mean Brock would ever cheat on me. 'Now, I was finding out just how wrong I was. As I sat there, feeling completely sick to my stomach, he admitted that - at the time - he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else. 'I use the word "chose" because it was very much a conscious decision. No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed.' His admission came after co-stars Tom Sandoval and Rachel 'Raquel' Leviss' affair was exposed to the world. Scheana admitted after his confession she was 'unable to contain my rage' about his 'brief affair' with a woman at his gym in 2021. 'I slapped him and threw a Rubik's Cube in his direction, which he dodged,' she wrote. 'To this day, every time I see a Rubik's Cube it triggers me, pulling me right back to this incredibly dark moment in my life. Same goes for any mention of an F45 gym.' Scheana revealed that same night Davies gave her a letter he had written a year after the affair ended. 'He wrote the letter, which included more specifics than I ever wanted, such as how many times they'd slept together, where they'd done it, and where they hadn't (our house),' she added. 'He also pointed out that it was purely physical, never emotional, and he always used protection.' Scheana noted she doesn't believe Davies was 'sober when he put pen to paper, so the spelling errors were rampant'. 'I can't explain why, but that really irritated me. Maybe because it felt like another sign of his carelessness,' she said. 'The letter made me remember the weeks leading up to my second trimester when, like many pregnant women, I was sexually stimulated. I'll never forget how, during that time, Brock was "afraid" to have sex with me (or he simply didn't want to).' At the time, Scheana recalled how his brushing off her advances spiked her anxiety and 'killed' her confidence. 'His behavior now made so much more sense. Once I'd read it, that was more than enough. I told him to immediately toss it into the fire. I never wanted to set eyes on those words again,' she explained. Scheana also admitted she was paranoid about the gossip that her husband and Leviss were having an affair. 'I knew in my heart that the gossip concerning Brock and Raquel was ridiculously fake... [but] there was the smallest section of my brain that kept thinking: "If Tom and Raquel pulled the wool over everyone's eyes for seven months, could Brock and Raquel have done the same thing?"' she wondered. Davies broke the news to her as she sat down in front of the TV to watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey. 'Brock said that with all of the fake news being published, he was afraid that something that actually was true might surface, and it was best that I heard it directly from him,' she said. Scheana also detailed the lengths that Davies went to, in order to hide the affair. 'I was a little confused because I'd always had his location and could have checked it at any time. How had I not caught them? But he also had a second phone for work, which I did know about but didn't monitor. It turned out that was their sole form of communication. Nice, right?' Despite her agony over his confession, she refrained from screaming because he didn't want to wake their daughter. The couple, who share four-year-old Summer, began dating in 2019 and got engaged two years later. They tied the knot in 2022 in front of Vanderpump Rules cameras for all their fans.

Scheana Shay reveals husband Brock Davies cheated on her while she was pregnant

Scheana Shay revealed her husband, Brock Davies, cheated on her while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon. The Vanderpump Rules star said Davies admitted to his affair around the time he was rumoured to be sleeping with her former co-star Raquel Leviss in 2023, according to an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, My Good Side, and obtained by Glamour. She explained that, after an 'amazing day' with her family, they sat down to watch the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, before he asked her to 'put down the remote.' 'Brock said that with all of the fake news being published, he was afraid that something that actually was true might surface, and it was best that I heard it directly from him,' she wrote, referencing the rumours surrounding his friendship with Leviss. 'My whole body froze, and I remained in a state of paralysed shock as he confessed that he'd cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the [Covid-19] pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer. ' … As I sat there, feeling completely sick to my stomach, he admitted that — at the time — he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else. 'I use the word 'chose' because it was very much a conscious decision. No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed.' Shay, 40, described feeling a 'deep fury bubbling inside of [her]' that she 'couldn't release,' saying that she avoided screaming to avoid waking up their daughter. 'Our daughter,' she said. 'His baby, whom I'd been carrying while he was in bed with another woman. I stood up and started pacing back and forth, fuming, and feeling like I might throw up.' However, the Bravolebrity lost control of her emotions and slapped Davies across the face before throwing a Rubik's cube at him, 'which he dodged.' According to Davies, the woman he cheated with was someone he had known before dating Shay and had recently reconnected with. Shay described not understanding how he cheated on her because he had shared his location with her. However, she found out that he had a second cell phone for his gym business, which became the main communication line between him and the other woman. That same night, Davies handed Shay a letter he had written in 2022 — a year before he confessed — where he revealed how many times he and the woman had slept together and the places they had intercourse. Davies, who has two children from a previous marriage, wrote the letter after 'he realised he was throwing his second chance at a family away by stepping out.' He also 'swore to himself that he would never betray [Shay] again.' 'Once I'd read it, that was more than enough,' Shay continued. 'I told him to immediately toss it into the fire. I never wanted to set eyes on those words again.' Before giving birth to Summer in April 2021, Shay experienced a miscarriage the prior year. The couple, who got engaged in 2021, secretly tied the knot in 2022 before hosting a larger celebration in Mexico the following year. My Good Side, which also touches on Shay's affair with Eddie Cibriani while he was married to Brandi Glanville, is available for purchase on July 22.
