Orioles place right-hander Zach Eflin on the 15-day IL with low back discomfort
ARLINGTON, Texas — The Baltimore Orioles placed right-hander Zach Eflin on the 15-day injured list on Monday with low back discomfort. Eflin got hurt Saturday during an 11-3 loss to Tampa Bay. He was tagged for four runs and five hits in one inning before he was replaced by Scott Blewett.

Orioles activate reliever Scott Blewett, designate Matt Bowman for assignment
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Baltimore Orioles activated relief pitcher Scott Blewett and designated reliever Matt Bowman for assignment Sunday. The Orioles reacquired Blewett from the Atlanta Braves on Friday in a trade for cash. The Orioles had claimed Blewett off waivers from the Minnesota Twins on April 14, and the Braves purchased his contract six days later.
