Soap Death Switcheroo: Why Liam's Exit Could Rewrite B&B's Rules
After heroically battling Luna on The Bold and the Beautiful, Liam took a bullet to the chest. But realizing he already had a death sentence from his brain tumor, he shot the looney girl in order to save Steffy and Sheila. Now, he's in the hospital and fighting for his life. Scott Clifton spoke about how Liam's predicament is a fresh take on soap opera tropes. Clifton revealed to Soap Opera Digest that he had no clue Liam was going to get shot. 'But it was really cool and fun to do, and the show executed it really well,' he explained. He also remarked that regular show makeup is boring, and he prefers to get bloody and bruised for a part. Despite having the brain tumor, when Liam rushed in and faced down the gun-wielding Luna (Lisa Yamada), he knew he had only one course of action. He stated that if Liam failed to stop Luna, 'the moment he's dead, Steffy could be dead right after, because there's nothing he can do to save her at that point if he's gone!' READ THIS: Learn what to watch for on B&B. Clifton also explained that he really liked the ironic twist of Liam possibly dying from a gunshot, rather than his inoperable brain tumor. He felt that fans of soap operas are well aware of the many 'tricks' that the shows have. He explained, 'I think it's always really, really nice when we can kind of set up an expectation and then at the very last minute, do a little switcheroo and go, 'You think he's going to die? Well, actually, this is how he's going to die.'' Not worried about whether he would go to prison for killing Luna, Liam said, 'I'm a dead man anyway,' and pulled the trigger. Clifton truly appreciated that moment and couldn't recall if it was in the script or improvised on set. But he felt that if that were to be his last line he ever utters on the show, 'That's pretty freakin' cool.' (Here's why Liam did what had to be done.)

B&B's Most Poisonous Plot Twist: Is Grace Behind Liam's Decline?
Buckle up, The Bold and the Beautiful fans, because this theory might just blow the roof off the hospital. On July 3rd, Grace sauntered into Finn's office to chat about Liam's worsening condition. His tumor is growing, his hope is crumbling, and there's one treatment that could keep him alive longer. But Liam isn't biting. Suspicious? Maybe. But hold on, because the real red flags started waving when Grace's phone wouldn't stop dinging. Now, to the casual observer, Grace's (Cassandra Creech) annoyed little phone moment could mean anything. But this is B&B — nothing is ever that innocent. Dr. Buckingham clearly didn't want Finn (Tanner Novlan) to know who was on the other end of that line. When she finally picked up, she hissed, 'I can't talk right now!' in a way that screamed guilt. So what's really going on? WATCH THIS: Did you know SoapHub has a podcast?! Check it out here! Here's the wild speculation: What if Grace isn't actually helping Liam (Scott Clifton)? What if she's hurting him? Could she be secretly poisoning him? Think about it: Liam's convinced he's dying, but what if there's no tumor at all? What if his symptoms are the result of Grace's medication? It's a sinister thought, but this is the same soap where people fake deaths, swap babies, and push others off cliffs. A doctor slipping something nasty into her patient's IV? Totally on brand. But why would Grace, the always-perfect professional, go rogue? Maybe she's being blackmailed. The phone calls could've been from someone holding something over her head. Maybe she's not as squeaky-clean as we thought. What if Grace has been secretly in league with one of Liam's enemies? Could this all be part of a larger plot to drive Liam mad, alienate him from his loved ones, and bring him to his knees? READ THIS: What would happen if Finn turned to the dark side? Let's not forget Liam's long list of enemies. Could this be Bill's (Don Diamont) twisted revenge for something we don't know about? Or maybe Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) is trying to eliminate his rival once and for all? Heck, even Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) could have her hand in this mess. And if so, Grace could be the perfect puppet for their evil plan. Whether Grace is the puppet or the puppet master, we can't shake the feeling that something is off. If Liam ever wakes up to the possibility that he's been played, we might just see a shocking showdown in the hospital halls. Until then, keep your eyes on Grace. The doctor might not be as bold and beautiful as she seems.

What Happened Today on Bold and the Beautiful May 27: Hope Said Yes!
The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, May 27 saw Carter waiting with bated breath for Hope's answer, Liam and Finn bonding, and Ridge wanting a serious explanation. Liam (Scott Clifton) spent his evening with Kelly playing cards and showing her all the love he possibly could. Kelly was over-the-moon and said so much to Finn (Tanner Novlan) when he showed up. They all agreed Liam living there was a great thing and hoped it would never end. Later, after Kelly went to bed, the men had a talk. Liam wondered if Finn had told his family – specifically Li (Naomi Matsuda) and was glad to hear Finn was the one person who was tight lipped. Liam was worried about how long he could keep this all a secret. He's going to start looking sickly soon and they'll notice. He didn't know how to tell them….or how to say goodbye to his precious daughters. Finn then brought up the treatments Grace (Cassandra Creech) proposed. Liam still wasn't sure what he wanted. He was more concerned with putting everyone else's lives right before considering his health. MORE: Find out what's coming up next on B&B! Meanwhile, Carter was good and ready to put his ring on Hope's finger but she wasn't exactly rushing to slide it on. He was all smiles until he realized she was reluctant, especially when she brought up trust and being cautious with her heart. They just got back together two seconds ago and she pointed out this was a big step. Carter wondered if she was even willing to take that leap. If Carter had it his way, he's marry her right then and there. Carter took the ring out of the box and held it up for her to see. Hope confessed she saw herself marrying Carter one day…or at least she did before everything fell apart with the coup. Carter pushed back and vowed to be the husband she wants, needs, and deserves. He promised her the world and that was enough for Hope to finally say yes! All the while, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) showed up at the office to find Taylor (Rebecca Budig) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) dishing on Hope and of course, he had questions. Why did his daughter go from hating the woman to advocating for her? He was truly and utterly confused. Steffy tried to keep her explanation brief and light and simply say she and Hope are raising the flag and trying to get along. Ridge did not believe her. And, he was right. There was much more to this story. Ridge's next concern was what they'd even do with Hope around the office. Bringing back her line wasn't on the table yet. Steffy wasn't sure what her role will be but they'd find something. Steffy wasn't looking to put things back to the way they were, she just wanted peace and harmony…and for Hope to be happy. The confused Ridge more than anything.
