FBI sketch emerges in Calvin Riley Pokemon Go shooting in San Francisco after years of silence
FBI sketch emerges in Calvin Riley Pokemon Go shooting in San Francisco after years of silence (Image via Getty) A new update has come in a case that has left many shocked for nearly a decade. A young college baseball pitcher, Calvin Riley was killed while playing a mobile game at a busy tourist spot. The case had gone quiet for years. Now the FBI has released a new clue that could possibly solve what happened that night. The victim's family is still mourning their loss; this case came to light back in 2016 in San Francisco, now in 2025 we are once again looking into this case. Calvin Riley was shot and killed while playing Pokemon Go in San Francisco in 2016 Shot and killed on the night of August 6, 2016, Calvin Riley was just 20 years old. Calvin Riley was out playing Pokemon Go with a buddy near Aquatic Park and Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco that evening. Someone came from behind at around 9:50 p. m. and shot Calvin Riley once in the chest. He died where he was; no words were spoken, no theft took place. Calvin Riley had his phone and wallet on him, therefore it is unclear what the motive could have been. At the time, police shared a sketch of one suspect and asked the public for help in finding two cars – a dark-colored Audi A3 wagon (model year 2006–2009) and a white Hyundai Sonata (model year 2013). But no arrests were made. FBI shares sketch of second man after nine years of silence In 2023, the FBI officially took over the case from U.S. Park Police, as Aquatic Park is on federal land. On June 25, 2025, the FBI released a new sketch of a second man they believe could be connected. He has glasses, a beard, and was seen recording video at the crime scene. They believe he was with the first suspect, who may have been driving the car and was also seen with a blonde woman. According to the FBI, both the Audi and Hyundai were seen arriving together just before the shooting and then leaving right after. Calvin Riley's father, Sean Riley, told NBC Bay Area that this tragedy has deeply hurt their family. 'It's been a nightmare going on nine years,' he said with tears. Calvin Riley was from Massachusetts and played baseball for San Joaquin Delta College. Shocking new twist in 'Pokemon Go' killing of baseball star Calvin Riley... nine years after unsolved shooting
The FBI has released a new sketch of a second person of interest in the unsolved 2016 killing of college baseball star Calvin Riley. Riley, 20 was gunned down in San Francisco on the night of August 6, 2016, while he was playing the video game, Pokemon Go, with a friend. His loved ones said he was struck from behind. His friend heard the shot and saw the 20-year-old fall to the ground. Riley was a rising star for the San Joaquin Delta College Mustangs, who dreamed of playing for the Red Sox. But his killing has remained a mystery for the past nine years. Earlier this week, however, federal investigators revealed the new composite drawing in the hope that those responsible can finally be found. It shows a bearded man with glasses. Riley's father, Sean Riley, paid tribute to the authorities and told KTVU that he hopes this represents a turning point in the investigation. 'They've done an outstanding job,' Riley said of the FBI. 'It's been a lot. I mean, it has been nine years.' The family also posted a statement to social media, per Fox News, which read: 'There's not a day, hour, minute or second that we don't think about you and the great memories that you left us with. 'Calvin, we promise you that we will find this person and bring them to justice. Cal we love you and miss you so much. Until we all meet again!!!' Both the killers and the motive have remained a mystery. The FBI is offering up to $25,000 as a reward for information that helps bring down those responsible. Not long after the shooting, police released a sketch of one person they thought could be connected to the case. The man was reportedly driving a car - with a blonde woman aged between 20 and 30 - which was parked nearby. According to KTVU, a family friend previously said Riley and his friend had noticed someone watching from the top of the hill above them. Another person was seen recording the crime scene and the new sketch shows a bald man with a beard and glasses. Police also identified a couple of suspicious cars - a 2015 white Hyundai Sonata and a dark Audi A3 - that arrived together and left together after the killing. It's not believed Riley was involved in any confrontation or robbery before being shot. Neither his phone nor his wallet was touched. 'This has ripped my family apart,' Sean Riley said at the time. 'I miss my family. I miss him. I miss it all.'

Dude Wipes secures private equity investment
This story was originally published on Retail Dive. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Retail Dive newsletter. Dude Wipes on Monday announced a 'strategic growth investment' from TSG Consumer Partners for an undisclosed amount. The company plans to use the funding to expand its customer base and grow its retail partnerships, per a press release. Founders Sean Riley, Jeff Klimkowski and Ryan Meegan will continue in their current roles as CEO, CFO, and chief marketing officer, respectively. They retain a significant share of the company and controlling interest, according to Klimkowski. Early investor Mark Cuban, who secured a 25% stake in the company for $300,000 in 2015 on ABC's 'Shark Tank,' also retains a share of the flushable wipes brand. Dude Wipes has been in growth mode through an expanding group of wholesale partnerships and the introduction of new products. According to the company, its retail sales have increased almost fourfold since 2021 and exceeded $220 million in 2024. Earlier this month, the company announced a toddler version of its Dude Wipes called Lil' Dude Wipes, which are available exclusively in-store and online nationwide at Walmart. 'The reason the Dude Wipes co-founders were so excited to partner with TSG Consumer was because they also have conviction around Dude Wipes' opportunity to become the category designer of the wet bath tissue segment of the bath tissue market,' Klimkowski said in an email. 'We believe this is going to be achieved by doubling down and continuing to focus on the wet bath tissue category.' Founded in Chicago in 2011, Dude Wipes took off in 2015 when the trio appeared on 'Shark Tank' and won an investment from Cuban. Since then, the company has built a network of partnerships that includes 25,000 retail doors. Dude Wipes currently sells through Amazon, Kroger, Publix, Sam's Club, Target and Walmart, among others. 'We bootstrapped Dude Wipes from our apartment with nothing but an idea and some guts,' the company founders said in a statement. 'Now, we're teaming up with TSG Consumer to take this thing to a whole new level.' Over the years, the brand has used creative marketing partnerships and campaigns to broaden its consumer base. In 2023, Dude Wipes launched a partnership with the National Football League's Cleveland Browns for the team to wear an 'unsoiled' white helmet for select games. Last August, the brand launched a camo version of the wipes with a tongue-in-cheek nod to hunters and outdoorsmen. This laptop is like a portable OLED TV that you can take anywhere, and that's just one reason I love it

Credit: Laptop Mag/Rami Tabari If anyone knows anything about me, I love my big, beautiful LG OLED TV — I have two in my house, and I am considering getting a third (no, I don't have that kind of money, I just know deals). Because of that, I am super picky about my laptop displays, so when the Yoga 9i landed on my laptop, I started drooling. I recently reviewed the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition, and there's a lot to love there, but the display and audio experience completely blew me away, making this laptop a killer multimedia device. Whether you travel often, like snuggling up in bed, or simply cannot afford a chunky LG OLED TV, here's why you should consider the Yoga 9i. The Yoga 9i is the peak multimedia device Credit: Laptop Mag/Rami Tabari ...nearly double the color coverage of the Apple MacBook Air 13-inch M4. The two key features of the Yoga 9i are its display and audio. However, its battery life and design lend themselves quite well to this purpose. First things first, the Yoga 9i is rocking a 14-inch, 2880 x 1800, 120Hz OLED touchscreen display. It clocked in 421 nits of brightness and covered 210.6% of the sRGB and 149.2% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. For context, that offers nearly double the color coverage of the Apple MacBook Air 13-inch M4 . Credit: Laptop Mag/Sean Riley ...no other laptop manufacturer has replicated the Yoga's sound bar hinge. We don't have the tools to measure audio quality, but no other laptop manufacturer has replicated the Yoga's sound bar hinge. It delivers 360-degree sound with four speakers, which include two 2W tweeters (treble) and two 2W woofers (bass). It offers a loud, wide range that makes the lows, mids, and highs feel distinct. It's easily equal to or better than your average TV speaker, maybe not in volume but in quality. Of course, the Yoga 9i can't replace 65 inches of big-screen goodness, but it certainly helps that it's remarkably cheaper. You can score the Yoga 9i for just $1,499 right now at Best Buy . That'll get you the shiny 14-inch display alongside an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Features: 14-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) 120Hz touchscreen, Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, 32GB RAM, Integrated Arc graphics, 1TB SSD, Windows 11 Deal Battery life is another critical component for this stellar streaming superstar. Technically, since it does sport the Intel Arc 140V iGPU, you can get in some light gaming as well. We ran Sid Meier's Civ VI: Gathering Storm (Medium, 1080p) at a solid 69 frames per second. You might be able to run some AAA games as well, albeit at low settings. The core advantage that the Yoga 9i has over a TV is portability. The Yoga 9i weighs only 2.9 pounds and measures 12.44 x 8.66 x 0.65 inches. You could fit this thing into most laptop bags and even some purses. And this is so easy to snuggle up in bed with. Battery life is another critical component for this stellar streaming superstar. You can't binge The Last of Us on a laptop that dies during a critical moment. Thankfully, this rig will net you 12 hours and 47 minutes of battery life. Your time will vary since we set our display brightness to 150 nits, so the dimmer your screen, the more battery life you'll eke out. Credit: Laptop Mag/Rami Tabari If you are constantly on the go, the last thing you want to worry about is your shiny new laptop breaking apart during a single drop. Well, lucky for you, the Yoga 9i sports an aluminum chassis that's been MIL-SPEC tested for drops, shocks, extreme temperatures, and more. Overall, if you're looking for a laptop to watch your favorite shows and listen to your favorite music, the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition is the perfect choice.
