Mauna Kea Technologies Congratulates Stanford Health Care on Completing 100

PARIS & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News: Mauna Kea Technologies (Euronext Growth: ALMKT), inventor of Cellvizio®, the multidisciplinary probe and needle-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (p/nCLE) platform, today announces the achievement of a key milestone by the clinical care team at Stanford Health Care, which has surpassed 100 cases for CellTolerance tests using the Cellvizio platform for patients with suspected food intolerance. An estimated 12% of the U.S. population suffers from IBS, and in several clinical studies using pCLE, it has been proven that more than 50% of those patients could suffer from food intolerances that can only be characterized by the real-time visualization of the intestinal barrier with Cellvizio during a food challenge. Linda Nguyen, M.D., Interim Chief, Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Clinical Professor of Medicine, Laura Pace, M.D., Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, and Sean Spencer, M.D. Ph.D., Instructor of Medicine, are leading the team of health care providers who are helping IBS patients end the circular loop of trying and repeatedly failing to identify and address the cause of their food-related IBS symptoms. 'With every CellTolerance test, we are using this cutting-edge technology to provide our patients with gut-specific, personalized answers. Reaching our first 100 cases is not just a milestone for our team, but a beacon of hope for all of our patients struggling with food intolerances. This program is a game-changer, and I am incredibly proud of our team for leading the charge in this new era of digestive health," said Dr. Sean Spencer at Stanford Medicine. Sacha Loiseau, Ph.D., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mauna Kea Technologies, stated:"CellTolerance is bringing answers to the millions of patients seeking resolution of their food-related IBS symptoms, and I extend a huge congratulations to the team at Stanford for their work in implementing CellTolerance on the Cellvizio platform and achieving this fantastic milestone. We are seeing strong growth and adoption of CellTolerance worldwide, underscoring the unique value proposition of the CellTolerance test for physicians and the desire of patients to find a solution that truly addresses their unmet needs." *** About Mauna Kea Technologies Mauna Kea Technologies is a global medical device company that manufactures and sells Cellvizio®, the real-time in vivo cellular imaging platform. 'Think this one close the book...' 2026 5-star DL leaves Texas A&M OV on a high note

This weekend, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and his impressive coaching staff hosted 15 elite prospects in the 2026 recruiting class, headlined by the return of five-star OL/DL Lamar Brown, who recently took official visits to Miami and Texas before his final official visit to LSU on June 20. After changing his commitment date to Thursday, July 10, Texas A&M defensive line coaches Tony Jerod-Eddie and Sean Spencer have been working diligently to develop strong communication with the Louisiana native, who took several unofficial visits to College Station during the spring period. Advertisement Despite the effort from LSU, Texas, and Miami, this weekend's official visit could seal the deal for Brown and the Aggies, according to one source. Following his recruitment closer than most, Rivals recruiting insider Adam Gorney stated on X may have taken his "final step" towards committing to Texas A&M next month after Lamar Brown tweeted, "Think this one close the book..." Landing one of the best athletes over the last decade would be monumental for a coaching staff that's entering just its second season in College Station, while Elko's ability to create deep connections with prospects in Louisiana and Georgia, where LSU and Georgia dominate in-state recruiting, is remarkable to say the least. Advertisement At the next level, he could play on either side of the trenches, but knows that he will thrive at defensive tackle, which the Aggies, and nearly every program, are recruiting him at, especially knowing that his NFL future depends on picking the right position. According to 247Sports, Brown is currently positioned as the 7th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the No. 1-ranked IOL, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Louisiana. From a poodle with an odd peeing ritual to best reptile for kids – your pet queries answered

HE is on a mission to help our pets . . . and is here to answer YOUR questions. Sean, who is the head vet at tailored pet food firm has helped with owners' queries for ten years. 4 Q: MY female dog Petra cocks her leg like a boy when she pees. She's a poodle. Is she an oddball? Shaun Spencer, Burnley, Lancs Sean says: It's not that unusual, really. I see it quite often and generally it's nothing to worry about. Some female dogs just develop the habit of going that way. Others might want to save their undercarriage from getting wet or cold. Some may even have more naturally occurring testosterone than others, which can drive the behaviour. And despite what recent court rulings have suggested, biological female versus biological male are not always clearly defined in the mammal kingdom. I have heard of some cases where a dog is intersex and has both male and female internal equipment. If Petra is straining to urinate or going more often than normal, get her checked out. Otherwise, accept it as a quirk. I'm a property expert, here are the five key things when moving with a pet Q: WHAT is a good starter reptile for children? I have a ten-year-old son Ollie and he's been asking forever to have a snake or lizard. He's sensible. What do you recommend? Kyle Brown, Exmouth, Devon Sean says: The honest answer is there's no perfect choice, because reptiles are pets which require a fair degree of understanding, research, expensive equipment and housing — regardless of species. So I always say if a child wants one, their parents/guardians need to want one, too. It's going to be down to the adult to make sure all of the animal's needs are being met. Saying that, the top four list of species that are robust and suitable for this arrangement include corn snakes, bearded dragons, leopard geckos and crested geckos. Q: HOW do I know if my dog is too fat? Bob is a labrador cross and he is a bit barrel-like. He loves his food and my kids always give him snacks. Does he need to be put on a diet? Someone said you should see the ribs — is that true? Derek Peters, Brighton Sean says: There is a great technique that lets you get hands on to assess any breed of dog called body condition scoring. It looks at three key areas — the ribs, belly and waist — to check if your dog is overweight, underweight or just right. Your vet team can also help you set a target weight for Bob, as even among pedigree Labradors there are all shapes and sizes, let alone with cross breeds. Search for 'body condition scoring on YouTube — you'll find some videos I've made on this topic. This has just made me realise that I have certainly crept up in the body condition score department since I started working at — with a few more grey hairs to boot! Q: I'VE always wanted a pot-bellied pig. Do you think they would make a good pet? Can they be house trained? Sam Bryant, Skegness, Lincs Sean says: Being brutally honest, they make terrible pets for most people, and many who insist on getting one live to regret their decision as they didn't fully understand the commitment, space and care required. Pigs are social animals so you need at least two. They are clean animals, but they dig up and trample the ground so they need a lot of it to prevent their enclosure becoming a muddy quagmire, especially in winter. They also don't toilet train well, so prepare for accidents if they are indoors. Unless you have a smallholding and serious dedication, they are not a great idea as house pets. Star of the week TAYLOR the Labrador has helped his owner to inspire others – and even run her first marathon. The Rev Melissa Carter, 44, a visually impaired runner from Dover, raised money for Guide Dogs, as the three-year-old pup is her fourth dog from the charity as well as her exercise buddy. Rev Carter, of the diocese of Canterbury, who ran this year's London Marathon in just over five hours said: 'Having Taylor has given me the confidence to go out, work and live life to the full.' She joined her local Snap Fitness in August 2024 to help her train using the motto: 'One step at a time.' Manager Max Brunetti-Leach said: 'Her determination is an inspiration.' PROTECT PETS FROM SUN'S HARMFUL RAYS OWNERS are being urged to protect their pets from the sun in a bid to prevent skin cancer. It comes after harmful rays caused the disease in seven-year-old cat Gracie, who then had to have her ears amputated. 4 If Gracie hadn't had her op, the cancer could have spread and claimed her life. Following treatment, she has now been rehomed. Charities Cats Protection and the RSPCA are warning readers their four-legged friends are also at risk of sunburn and heatstroke. Nikki Butcher, co-ordinator at Cats Protection Bracknell and Wokingham, said: 'We see too many cats suffering from the effects of sun damage and it can be easily prevented. 'Hopefully, Gracie's story will make more pet owners aware of the risks of the sun and save other cats from losing their ears.' Dominika Jagoda, from the RSPCA, added: 'You can use pet-safe sun cream on exposed skin, such as the ears or nose, especially on those with white or light-coloured fur and pale skin, to avoid sunburn.' Cats Protection advises keeping pets indoors between 10am and 3pm, when it's hottest, and providing plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

Texas A&M DL coach recently visited elite 2026 5-star DL, who will visit in June

Texas A&M DL coach recently visited elite 2026 5-star DL, who will visit in June Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class will continue to grow in the coming months, starting this summer when five-star OL/DL Lamar Brown returns to College Station on June 13. Throughout Brown's recruiting process, coach Mike Elko and defensive line coaches Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie have continued to visit the Louisiana-based prospect, including Spencer's visit on Monday. During Brown's Track & Field meet, representing University Lab High School, Spencer watched on as the elite multi-sport athlete did his thing, as the Aggies are directly competing with the LSU Tigers down the stretch, which isn't surprising given the Tigers' historical success at keeping high ranking prospects in-state. Brown's relationship with both D-line coaches has been strengthened over the last year, which was proven during his recent interview with LSU reported Matt Moscono. 'There's not a day I don't talk to them,' Brown said. 'Coach (Mike) Elko, I talk to him every week. The D-line coach, Coach Tony (Jerod-Eddie), Coach (Sean Spencer), I just got off the phone with them not too long ago. That's three great people. Just great relationship with them ever since they started recruiting me. I've been down there a few times. I usually don't go to a lot of schools that much out of state, but that's a place I feel comfortable at myself. My parents feel comfortable there, honestly. The staff, the people, it's a great place.' While Brown is a slight favorite to land with the Tigers, the Aggies are gaining steam, as a commitment from the five-star would put A&M's 2026 class over the top and closer to ending with the No. 1-ranked cycle. Before his official visit, Brown's college position is still up for debate depending on the program he chooses, but for Elko and his staff, his future with Texas A&M is on the defensive line. According to 247Sports Composite, Brown is currently positioned as the 10th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the No. 1-ranked IOL, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Louisiana. 1,000 mile classic car 'adventure' organised by York businessman for a good cause

A YORK-BASED businessman has organised a four-day classic car adventure in memory of a sporting icon and to raise funds for a good cause. Keith Stewart is spearheading Banger Challenge 2025 which involves participants buying a pre-1980 car for less than £3,000 and then driving it 1,000 miles consecutively, starting today (Monday, March 17). The drive, which set off from Fishergate in York before crossing the Humber Bridge and through the Lincolnshire Wolds, is in memory of Leeds Rhinos rugby league icon Rob Burrow and is raising funds for the centre which bears his name. Keith Stewart is driving the 1953 Ford (Image: Sean Spencer/Hull News & Pictures) Keith said: 'They say the old ones are the best and we're hoping to prove that's the case when it comes to raising money for the Rob Burrow MND Centre. 'We're all car nuts who have been inspired by Rhinos legend Rob's bravery in the face of MND and the long-distance running fundraising efforts of his former team-mate Kevin Sinfield. 'The fight against MND is also a cause that is very close to my heart because I lost one of my best friends to the disease in 2018 so I know just how cruel it can be and what a devastating impact it has.' The four-day, 1,000 mile event began today (March 17) (Image: Sean Spencer/Hull News & Pictures) The Banger Challenge 2025 sees a 1953 Ford and 1966 Singer head off on a 1,000-mile circuit in the name of the Seacroft Hospital unit which is due to open later this year. A 1972 Saab left Bath on Friday to do the same distance. All three cars are an unknown quantity as part of the challenge is to buy them, make them roadworthy and then sell them afterwards. All three cars were an unknown quantity as part of the challenge was to buy them, make them roadworthy and then sell them afterwards (Image: Sean Spencer/Hull News & Pictures) There are a series of points they earn from how much older the car is than 1980, how much less they paid than the £3.000 target and how much money they make or lose when selling on their vehicles. Keith is co-driving the Ford with friend Geoff Gray while fellow retired businessmen Harrogate-based John Vause and Philip Oldfield, of Wakefield will take turns behind the steering wheel of the Singer. They will be joined by Saab duo Jon Langley and Geoff Pinch who headed up to Yorkshire from Bath to join their fellow motoring enthusiasts. Keith said the aim was to breakthrough the £9,000 barrier in the fundraising drive for the Rob Burrow MND Centre (Image: Sean Spencer/Hull News & Pictures) Keith said: 'The Rob Burrow MND project still has a funding gap which needs closing in order for the centre to open in September and that's why we're determined to go the extra mile for everyone affected by MND. 'We got by with some ropey old cars in 2022 but this year we're going all out to smash the £9,000 barrier because it's such an important cause. 'We really hope that we can do the memory of Rob proud with our fundraising efforts because we know that every pound we raise will bring the day we find a cure for MND that little bit closer."
