Second Chance Week: Louisiana Parole Project raises awareness about its programs
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Louisiana Parole Project is raising awareness about Second Chance Week, which runs from April 21-25. Leaders will be sharing impactful stories on social media of how the organization is helping men and women as they come home from prison.
The organization started in 2016. Since then, Executive Director Andrew Hundley said they have supported hundreds of clients with housing, employment and so much more. The group is in contact with clients before they are released from prison in order to set them up on a path to success.
