'DWTS' judge Derek Hough, wife Hayley Erbert Hough expecting first child together
Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert Hough are expecting their first child together. The "Dancing with the Stars" judge and the "So You Think You Can Dance" alum announced they would be parents in a sweet Instagram video posted Tuesday, July 22, seemingly shot in a backyard overlooking Los Angeles. "We can't believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small," the couple captioned the joint Instagram post. The video was set to "So Small," a song from Alexander Jean, the band of Hough's "DWTS" costar and pro dancer Mark Ballas. The video showed the couple embracing, sharing a kiss and Herbert wrapping her arms around Hough as she held an ultrasound photo. A post shared by Hayley Erbert Hough (@ 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' are headed to 'DWTS.' Which two join the dancing competition? The couple received an outpouring of love and support from friends who waltzed their way to the comment section. "Baby Hough is not even ready for Uncle Mark, Auntie BC + Cousin Banksi play dates about to go TOO HARD," Ballas said, while Erbert Hough's best friend and "DWTS" pro Britt Stewart said that "truly no words can match this blessing!!!! Auntie Britt is ready! Love you both so much." The Houghs began dating in 2015 after meeting on "DWTS." Before joining the judge's table, Hough was the show's winningest "DWTS" pro dancer, capturing the coveted Mirrorball Trophy a record-breaking six times in the televised dance competition. They announced their engagement on June 2, 2022, with joint Instagram posts. The couple married in front of family and friends in a redwood forest in Northern California's Monterey County during an August 2023 ceremony. Hough is set to judge Season 34 alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli on the show's premiere Tuesday, Sept. 16, hosted by his sister Julianne Hough and "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" alum Alfonso Ribeiro. The upcoming cast features "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" duo Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck, social media star Alix Earle and Steve Irwin's son Robert Irwin. ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' star Jessi Ngatikaura reacts to Demi Engemann skipping the reunion: ‘Everyone needed answers'
Jessi Ngatikaura doesn't respect a no-show. The 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' star, 33, admitted she was 'really annoyed' that her co-star Demi Engemann skipped the Season 2 reunion. 'I was frustrated because we all were told of the date weeks in advance and we just had to make it work. It's our job,' Ngatikaura exclusively told The Post while promoting her partnership with RumChata. 12 Jessi Ngatikaura on 'Good Day New York' on May 13, 2025. 'So for me, I had to make a big sacrifice. So I was really annoyed that she wasn't there, especially because she was one that everyone needed answers from.' 12 Demi Engemann at the 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Season 2 premiere on May 9. / 12 The 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' cast at the Season 2 reunion. Disney Ngatikaura continued, 'But I will say, everyone has different situations and whether she wanted to be there or not, it's what happened. And I do think that fans are going to see that you will hear from her at the reunion in a roundabout way and you still will get answers.' After falling out with most of the other 'MomTok' members during Season 2 of the hit Hulu series, Engemann, 30, did not attend the reunion that was hosted by Nick Viall and will air July 1. 12 Jessi Ngatikaura in her interview with The Post. Earlier this month, Engemann claimed during an Instagram Q&A that she didn't participate in the reunion because she was in Disneyland with her family. 12 Demi Engemann at the 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Season 2 premiere. 'I tried to have production move it to another day and they couldn't swing it sadly.' In Engemann's absence, Ngatikaura told the Post that Whitney Leavitt was in the hot seat for most of the reunion. 12 Whitney Leavitt, Jessi Ngatikaura on 'This Morning' in London in May 2025. Ken McKay/ITV/Shutterstock 'A lot of that [is] because she was probably Demi's only defender,' Ngatikaura shared. 'She was the only one standing up for Demi when all of us were kind of going against it. And Whitney also has a history with the group of, like, coming and going and coming and going, and that was happening in real time. So I think we were all just kind of frustrated with her. But I do think by the end of the day, we got some resolution.' 12 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' stars Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mikayla Mathews, Mayci Neeley, Demi Engemann, Layla Wessel, Taylor Frankie Paul and Whitney Leavitt. ©Hulu/Courtesy Everett Collection Ngatikaura further teased that the cast — which also includes Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Layla Taylor and Miranda McWhorter — aired everything out during the reunion. 'I feel like we all had a chance to really hash it out and say our opinions and say as much as we could say,' Ngatikaura told The Post. 'So I feel really confident that watching the reunion, audience members are gonna get a lot of answers and resolution, but also breadcrumbs for what's gonna come.' 12 Jessi Ngatikaura attends The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives x Club Soda takeover. Alan Chapman/for Disney+ During the Season 2 finale, Marciano Brunette from 'Vanderpump Villa' denied he had an affair with Engemann and claimed that he slept with Ngatikaura, who has been married to her husband Jordan since 2020. Ngatikaura told The Post that she found out about Brunette's wild claims while filming the next season. 'I think two months before it aired is when I found out about it, because it was going on in real time, like it was all coming out and things were being said,' she noted. 'Luckily we were filming, so you guys will see all of that unravel.' 12 Jessi Ngatikaura in an Instagram photo. _justjessiiii/Instagram 'So I had a couple months to prepare for that ending, which was really great, but I knew it happened,' the Hulu star continued. 'But seeing it was so different, like I didn't realize exactly what he said about me and how he said it. So I was really upset and it was really hard to see.' Ngatikaura added that she's 'excited' for fans to watch the reunion and the next season of the show to see how she handles the situation with Brunette. 12 Miranda, Jessi and Layla attend Hulu's Go Real House. Getty Images 'It's a whole story. There's so much more than what he said, and it's not all accurate how he put it,' Ngatikaura insisted. 'So it's really good because I feel like it's going to give me a chance to tell my story. And this next season I'm going to be more vulnerable than I've ever been.' Ngatikaura has struggled with not being able to speak out about the drama on the show. 'As social media influencers in the past, if there was a scandal or drama, we can just go address it online, right?' she said. 'But now we have certain things we can and can't say, and we are filming and you don't wanna ruin the story of what's coming out.' 12 Whitney Leavitt and Jessi Ngatikaura on 'This Morning.' Ken McKay/ITV/Shutterstock 'So that's probably been the hardest part for sure for me,' Ngatikaura added. 'But I'm like, okay, just a few more months and then more will be revealed. I just have to be patient.' When asked how her husband has handled Brunette's claims, Ngatikaura told The Post that 'it's been a learning experience' for the couple. 12 Jessi Ngatikaura attends Hulu's Get Real House on April 22, 2025. Getty Images 'I think that reality TV is not easy on any relationship, friendship, anything like that,' she said. 'So it's been a bit of a roller coaster that you're going to see coming up. But overall, he understands that this is my job and this is what I chose to do. And he's supportive of that.' 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' reunion airs July 1 on Hulu.

Tom Sandoval Receives Standing Ovation From ‘America's Got Talent' Judges With Cover Band
Tom Sandoval is moving on to the next round of America's Got Talent. The former Vanderpump Rules star and his cover band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras, auditioned for the brand-new episode of America's Got Talent on Tuesday night. The reality star performed a rendition of A-ha's 'Take On Me,' not before he explained that he was involved in an infamous cheating scandal (deemed Scandoval) that saw him become 'the most hated man in America.' More from The Hollywood Reporter Rachel Zoe Joins 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 15 Cast: "I Am Coming Back to Bravo!" 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Season 2 Reunion Special to Air This Summer, Nick Viall to Host Brooks Marks Is Ready to "Pull Back the Curtain" on 'Next Gen NYC' 'With being on a reality TV show, it's very much about your personal life. A couple years ago I was involved in a scandal and I was labeled as 'the most hated man in America' by [the] New York Times,' he told Simon Cowell. 'It was really really rough and I was in a very dark place. I felt as though I had nothing in my life and this band was the only thing that kept me going.' After their act wrapped, all four judges (Cowell, Mel B, Sofía Vergara and Howie Mandel) praised the Most Extras' and gave the group a standing ovation. The former Spice Girl said that the performance 'made me smile,' while the Griselda actress said that 'you guys brought us joy tonight.' Mendel sung praise directly toward the reality star, noting, 'Tom is a showman, he really takes this seriously … For me, it was great.' Cowell gave the harshest critiques, stating, 'For me, the vocals weren't great, Tom, I'm gonna be honest with you. However, not everyone comes on this show to get a record deal.' Still, all four judges dished out a 'Yes' their way, advancing the Most Extras to the next round of the competition. The scandal in question saw Sandoval cheat on his long-time partner and Vanderpump Rules co-star, Ariana Madix, with their fellow co-star and close friend, Rachel Leviss. Sandoval and Leviss engaged in a months-long affair that caused a media frenzy in 2023, birthed the show's spin-off series The Valley and expanded Madix's career, which led her to compete on Dancing with the Stars, make her Broadway debut and take over as the host of Love Island USA. Before hitting the AGT stage, he explained in an interview segment that he 'hope[s] the audience and the judges see who I am as a musician versus just somebody on a reality show.' However, since it was announced that Vanderpump Rules was being rebooted with a brand-new cast for its 12th season, Sandoval hasn't been able to stay away from reality TV. He appeared on season three of The Traitors, was recently cast in the upcoming season of House of Villains and has now auditioned for season 20 of AGT. Plus, shortly after the scandal, Sandoval went on season two of Special Forces and season 10 of The Masked Singer. It's no coincidence that Sandoval and his band are now appearing on NBC's talent-based competition show, as Vanderpump Rules' parent network, Bravo, is owned by NBC. Coincidentally, too, the former reality TV star notably did his first podcast interview post-Scandoval with Mandel. 'It means so much to me to like see all these people from different places that come together and were happy and cheering for us, and rooting for us,' Sandoval said at the end of the segment. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars would love to film new season in Ireland
'BUCKET LIST' | Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Whitney and Jessi tell Deirdre Reynolds they want to come to Ireland as they film season three 'Absolutely! We would love to watch anything like that,' she says of the hypothetical show dreamed up by Magazine+ . 'Let's see it,' agrees her castmate Whitney Leavitt. ''Cos we're just as interested in other religions.' As TV pitches go, it's not as far-fetched as you might imagine. After all, just two years ago, who'd have thought that viewers would be glued to a show all about The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? 'I feel religion in general is going to strike a chord with anyone, whether it's the Catholic church, the Mormon church, whatever it may be,' continues Jessi. 'Even if you're not Mormon watching it, you probably had an experience with religion; whether you're super active in your's, or you've fallen away. Layla Taylor, Miranda McWhorter, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Taylor Frankie Paul, Jennifer Affleck, Whitney Leavitt and Demi Engemann attend the premiere "The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives" Season 2 'So the fact that we have so many people in our cast that vary in their faith levels, I think that so many people can relate to that and that's why it's interesting.' Season two of the guilty pleasure dropped on streaming giant Disney Plus last month, after becoming the most watched unscripted premiere of 2024, and the two glamorous stars, who are among nine TikTok influencers featured on the show, revealed they're still wrapping their heads around the level of worldwide fame it has brought them and their families. 'It's insane,' laughs Whitney, who welcomed her third child with husband Conner last October. 'I went to [musical] The Book of Mormon last night and a fan of the show came up to me and was like, 'Wow, you had to come all the way to London to watch a Mormon show!' Scandals, fallouts and dirty sodas in the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Today's News in 90 Seconds - June 14 2025 'So it's kind of crazy for the both of us just even getting recognised in the UK, but it's really cool. 'It's still surreal for me, I think,' adds Jessi, who has a daughter, son and stepdaughter with her husband, Jordan. 'Like, when I hear how many people have viewed the show, I still feel like I haven't really processed that, because it's a lot! The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is available to stream now on Disney+ 'It's different too, because when you're putting your own content out there on social media, you have control of it, you know what's going out— it's like your highlight reel. 'With reality TV, you're showing the good, the bad, the ugly, so [viewers] are seeing all sides of you, which is so scary, but it's so nice to see the support. Like, we get mean comments online, but I've never met anyone mean in person, so that's great.' Although the ladies didn't make it across the pond to Ireland while promoting the show this time, having previously gone on location to Italy, they promised to lobby for a 'Mormon Wives do Ireland' special as they're already filming season three of the addictive watch. 'It hasn't come up, but that would be so fun,' beams Whitney, who admits she had a lot of 'hard conversations' about whether to return to the hit programme after being painted as the villain of season one when she dramatically quit 'MomTok', as the Utah moms are collectively known. 'That's on my bucket list.' 'We're always down,' adds Jessi, who at 32 is the self-confessed 'grandma of the group'. 'Every year, we're always like, 'Can we go somewhere international?' Like, we are so excited to do that … and I don't think any of us have been to Ireland, so we might have to check that out. 'Actually, my husband's family I think is, like, half-Irish, so he has a lot of Irish [in him]. He looks like a leprechaun, he has a red beard, I always tease him!' Jessi Ngatikaura and Whitney Leavitt attend The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives x Club Soda takeover Founded in 1830, the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints is famed for its ultra-conservative teachings, from no sex outside marriage to no booze or cigarettes. Since launching the reality smash on the back of a 'soft swinging' scandal that rocked the US, however, it's the everyday idiosyncrasies — like the colourful 'dirty sodas' beloved by the ladies in lieu of alcohol — that have kept fans glued to their screens, according to Jessi and Whitney. 'I don't think we've moved past it quite yet,' the latter says of the controversy, which has been stirred back up in the most recent episodes by newcomer Miranda McWhorter. 'It's always going to be there. 'I'm definitely surprised that so many people are fascinated by [Mormonism], because I grew up it in,' continues the 31-year-old. 'So people hearing about the sodas or not drinking coffee, like, that's just what I know. 'Yeah, it's weird because we grew up thinking this is the one true church,' Jessi picks up. 'That's just kind of drilled into you, so growing up in a bubble, you just assume everyone either is Mormon or knows what Mormons are— but it's been cool to showcase how we live and how we do things. 'Y'know, like 30 years ago, things were a little stricter than they are now, and when our generation's running the church, I think it's going to be even a little [more] different. So I think it's just showing the evolution of it, and that we're just normal people even if we have a church that has some crazy rules at times!' One question that remains unanswered by the series, though, is who would win in a 'mom off' between the typically strict Mormon mother and wooden spoon-wielding Irish Mammy? 'Oh gosh, I mean, based off the Mormon moms I know, probably those!' jokes Whitney. 'But we're going to come to Ireland, and then we'll let you know!'

Disney to Pay Comcast an Additional $439 Million for Hulu Stake as Streaming Saga Comes to an End
The years-long saga over the fate of Hulu is officially resolved, with Disney set to pay Comcast $439 million to finally complete the sale of its 33 percent stake in the streaming service. Back in 2023, Disney officially agreed to pay a floor of $8.61 billion for Comcast's stake in Hulu, but the companies couldn't agree on a final valuation for the stake, leading to an extended appraisal process. More from The Hollywood Reporter 'Call Her Daddy' Host Alex Cooper Accuses College Soccer Coach of Sexual Harassment Las Vegas Aces vs. Golden State Valkyries Livestream: When to Watch the WNBA Game Online With Hulu + Live TV for Free 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Season 2 Reunion Special to Air This Summer, Nick Viall to Host Disney argued that the floor price would suffice as the final price, while Comcast argued that Hulu's value was higher, and that Disney should pay it an additional $5 billion. That process is now complete as of Monday, with a final price clearly much closer to Disney's valuation than Comcast's. While Disney was able to take operational control of Hulu as it sorted out the value of Comcast's stake, the completion of the deal will give the company more leeway to more fully integrate Hulu into its streaming offerings. 'We are pleased this is finally resolved,' Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a statement. 'We have had a productive partnership with NBCUniversal, and we wish them the best of luck. Completing the Hulu acquisition paves the way for a deeper and more seamless integration of Hulu's general entertainment content with Disney+ and, soon, with ESPN's direct-to-consumer product, providing an unrivaled value proposition for consumers.' Disney began integrating Hulu content into Disney+ in late 2023, and expanded that initiative last year. Disney says that the full acquisition of Hulu will be completed by July 24, 2025. Disney acquired a controlling stake in Hulu in connection with its acquisition of 21st Century Fox, but Comcast's stake remained the big sticking point. 'Hulu was a great start for us in streaming that generated nearly $10 billion in proceeds for Comcast and created an important audience for NBCUniversal's world-class content,' a Comcast spokesperson says. 'We wish Disney well with Hulu and appreciate the cooperative way our teams managed the partnership.'
