Limited to just 20 pieces, this unique watch features a dial embedded with real sand. The sand is sourced equally from the dunes of all seven Emirates, bringing the desert landscape to life within a fully functional mechanical design. The result is a tactile tribute that marries heritage with innovation, all without compromising Ressence's signature visual language. 'The watch is a unique tribute to the nation's landscape, heritage and innovative thinking,' said Ressence founder Benoît Mintiens. With its textured dial evoking shifting dunes and its regional authenticity reflected in the blended sand, Mintiens also described the piece as standing 'at the crossroads of the ancient hourglass and contemporary design.' Weighing just 40 grams, the TYPE 9 S75 becomes a living canvas where craftsmanship and nature converge in motion. The timepiece is visually pared down, displaying only hours and minutes with understated precision. Classic horological elements – titanium-circled markers, fluid lugs and a bezel that doubles as the minute indicator – complement the minimalist form. Inside, a patented ROCS 9 module powers the functions via a customized automatic caliber, delivering a 36-hour power reserve. Encased in Grade 5 titanium, the case rests on a jewel ball bearing and features inclined satellite discs bonded with UAE sand and filled with luminous green Grade A Super-LumiNova. Priced at 19,900 CHF (approx $24,516 USD), the TYPE 9 S75 will be available exclusively throughAhmed Seddiqi.

Family, Fun and Games After learning about the festival on Saturday, Dubai-based Bulgarian expat Boryana Ince headed to Al Mugheirah with her two young daughters, Eva and Sara, to join the festivities the same Eva and Sara participated in the inflatable obstacle course race, Boryana cheered them on from the said that although the race was a bit challenging, it gave her the opportunity to test her skills and learn from other Sara, the best part was that 'after the game, we can go and enjoy the many activities and booths at the venue'.'We had a good time here, it's an ideal place for family and community gathering, and we are looking forward to coming back,' Boryana Al Bahr opens every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5pm to midnight, with free entry for all visitors.
