Seth MR Jaipuria, DPS Eldeco enter basketball finals
Lucknow: Seth MR Jaipuria School (Ansal Campus) and DPS Eldeco won their respective semi-final matches to set up a title clash in the inter-school boys' and girls' basketball championship under the Sarojininagar Sports League, an initiative by local MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh, currently underway at SKD Academy, Vrindavan Yojana. Seth MR Jaipuria defeated Skylark World School, while DPS Eldeco edged past GD Goenka in the boys' segment. In the girls' matches, DPS Eldeco and Jaipuria triumphed over GD Goenka and SKD Academy, respectively. MLA Singh's initiative has introduced multiple disciplines, including cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball, with over 2,400 players participating in the league.

Hard work, focus help students achieve near-perfect scores
1 2 Lucknow: Bringing laurels to the city, as many as 26 students of City Montessori School and three students of Seth MR Jaipuria School scored over 99% marks in ICSE Board results announced on Wednesday. Palak Rai of Mahanagar branch of CMS secured 99.6% marks with a perfect 100 in science, social studies and computer science, and 99 in English and Maths. Palak said that she studied 4-6 hours a day and credited her success to parents and teachers. Her father, Nirbhay Raj Rai, is a govt employee while her mother, Priyanka Srivastava, is an assistant professor in management department of Lucknow University. She said that hard work and dedication helped her achieve success. She secured full marks in biology, 99 in maths and chemistry, and 97 in physics. Adya focused on classroom learning and practised ICSE and CBSE previous year papers as part of her preparation. Daughter of Rishi Singh Chauhan, a software engineer, and Renu Singh, a govt teacher, Adya believes that hard work and focus were key to success. Like Palak, she has also set her sights on IIT-Bombay. Soham Anand, a student of Seth MR Jaipuria School, also scored 99.6% marks in class 10 result.
