A while back, we asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us things that got a TON of hype but turned out to be disappointing. Here are the surprising results: "To me, what is not worth the hype is McDonald's French fries. They are super thin, and you have to eat a handful to get the taste. The 'large' portion isn't even that large. There's much better." "Game of Thrones. It's boring. I can't even make it through the first season. And I don't mean it's boring for a lack of action; I don't mind that if the writing is good. I mean, even the dialogue is bad. It vacillates between obnoxiously pompous and cartoonishly coarse depending on who's talking." "Hot yoga. Downward-dogging in a 350-degree oven with someone else's sweaty crack in my face, and inhaling the scent of BO. Hard pass." "Six years of watching the show Lost. I was not happy with that!" "Cryptocurrency. It was supposed to revolutionize commerce from the ground up, but it made no sense to me initially. The fact that these coins had to be 'mined' using wild amounts of electricity further distanced me from investing." "Schitt's Creek. It just wasn't funny. Felt like you had to laugh at it because people told you it was hilarious." "Turning 50. I thought it was a big deal, but it was really just another day like the day before and the one after." He's already released more than half a dozen albums and scored multiple Grammy nominations in the traditional pop field, and this week, his latest full-length not only brings him back to the Billboard charts, but helps him reach a new career peak. Lush Life Earns Seth MacFarlane a New Bestseller Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements debuts on a trio of Billboard charts in the United States this week. It opens inside the top 10 on two genre-specific rankings and comes in at No. 17 on the Top Album Sales tally. While that marks the title's lowest starting point on the charts, it's also a new best showing for MacFarlane. The comedian and crooner reaches the top 20 on the Top Album Sales chart for the very first time in his music career. Lush Life opens inside that area with a little more than 4,400 pure purchases during its first tracking frame (per Luminate). Seth MacFarlane's Previous Best Showing Before this frame, he had only cracked the top 40 once, more than a decade ago, when Holiday for Swing! opened and peaked at No. 38. Back when the Top Album Sales list featured far more than the 50 spaces it does today, Music Is Better Than Words spent a single turn at No. 111, and those are his only three placements on the tally. Seth MacFarlane's New Top 10s Lush Life is far more successful on two of Billboard's style-focused rankings. The collection, which sees MacFarlane recording music written for Frank Sinatra that the legend never got to make during his lifetime, launches at No. 3 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart and No. 4 on the slightly broader Jazz Albums tally. He's now collected half a dozen top 10s on both of those rosters.

The Naked Gun Reboot Brings Back Old School Slapstick
The Naked Gun franchise was a comedy hit back in the 90s, and after being dormant for more than 30 years, a reboot is finally coming starring Liam Neeson. The film is set to come out in August, and we have a new trailer showcasing more gags, and Neeson's co-star Pamela Anderson. Check this out: Only one man has the particular set of skills… to lead Police Squad and save the world! Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. (Liam Neeson) follows in his father's footsteps in THE NAKED GUN, directed by Akiva Schaffer (Saturday Night Live, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) and from producer Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy). Joining the case are cast Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, with Danny Huston. The original Naked Gun films starred Leslie Nielsen, and though he's considered a comedy legend now, he had originally intended to play the character straight—that's why people thought it was so hilarious. By casting a 'serious' actor like Neeson, it looks like the reboot is following in the same steps. That being said, Neeson is known for being pretty funny when he needs to be. As someone who loves comedy, I admit that it's been kind of hard to get back into slapstick nowadays; but seeing that Naked Gun is known for that, you wouldn't expect any less from a reboot. Let's hope the audiences will be onboard as well because I definitely am. Catch The Naked Gun when it comes to cinemas on Aug. 1.

The trailer for "The Naked Gun" has arrived. Paramount Pictures released the trailer for the highly anticipated film on Monday, which features Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. See the full trailer here. Liam Neeson is Frank Drebin Jr. in new 'Naked Gun' film: Watch teaser here In the trailer, Neeson introduces himself as Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., who follows in his father's footsteps in the Police Squad. Anderson appears in the trailer, telling Drebin that she thinks someone killed her brother. According to the trailer, Drebin and the rest of the Police Squad members also face a challenge when they're told that the Police Squad is being threatened to shut down if the case isn't solved. Also starring in the film are Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu and Danny Huston. Akiva Schaffer directs. The film is produced by Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins. The "Naked Gun" reboot was announced in February 2024. Months later, it was revealed that Anderson and Neeson would be starring in the project. 'Naked Gun' reboot starring Liam Neeson is in the works "The Naked Gun" franchise began in 1988 with "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!" and "The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear" in 1991, with "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult" premiering in 1994. Nielsen starred in the franchise as Lt. Franklin "Frank" Drebin. In the first film, Frank must foil an attempt to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II. In the second film, he discovers that his ex-girlfriend's new beau is involved in a plot to kidnap a scientist, and the final film finds Frank coming out of retirement to help the Police Squad infiltrate a gang of terrorists planning to detonate a bomb at the Oscars. Priscilla Presley also starred in the films as Jane Spencer, and O.J. Simpson starred as Detective Nordberg. "The Naked Gun" arrives in theaters Aug. 1. Paramount Pictures has released a full trailer for The Naked Gun reboot, and it stars Liam Neeson as Frank Debin Jr., a bumbling police officer and his team of colleagues on the Police Squad, all of which are all goofy. The supporting cast includes Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, with Danny Huston. As someone who loes the original films because they're so damn funny, I'm happy to see that this new movie looks like it will deliver some equal hilarity! This fresh take on the classic absurdist comedy series stars Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr., son of the iconic baffoon detective made famous by Leslie Nielsen. And while the baton is clearly being passed, the spirit of the original remains intact: it's loud, ludicrous, and full of gloriously dumb gags. The synopsis reads: 'Only one man has the particular set of skills... to lead Police Squad and save the world! Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. follows in his father's footsteps in The Naked Gun . Based off the widely popular comedy franchise The Naked Gun and television series "Police Squad!" by Jim Abrahams and David Zucker and Jerry Zucker.'
