He was described as having an "appalling" record for paedophilic offences, including indecent assaulting and inciting children into sexual activity. David Taylor, 43, of Barry, was reported to the police by a "vigilante paedophile hunting group" after he had spoken to two decoys who he believed were 15 and 14-year-old girls respectively. As a result of this, he was in breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order which had been imposed by the courts. ‌ A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday heard the first conversation was with a decoy named "Frankie" who told the defendant she was a 14-year-old. For the latest court reports sign up to our crime newsletter. ‌ Taylor did not use his real name, and used a social media tagline of "TheDude123". During the conversation, the defendant attempted to groom "Frankie", asked her about sex and sent her links to pornographic websites. He told "Frankie" he was there to "educate her", gave descriptions of masturbation, told the decoy he was masturbating, and asked her to open her legs and "rub" between them. Article continues below Prosecutor Alex Greenwood said Taylor told the decoy to touch her vagina, asked about her underwear and asked her to send pictures of her "rubbing herself". The defendant began communication with the second decoy on April 27, who he believed to be a 15-year-old girl named "Lily", The conversation was similar in nature to that of the first decoy, with Taylor asked "Lily" if she wanted to "get naked", asked her if she wanted to see him naked and made reference to masturbation ‌ He made requests for images and asked "Lily" if she wanted to meet up with him, asking "Do you want to do naked stuff at mine?". The defendant described being "sexually aroused" and said he was masturbating during their conversation.. Taylor, of Thompson Street, was arrested and later pleaded guilty to arranging/facilitating a child sexual offence, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause/incite a child to engage in sexual activity, breaching sex offender notification requirements, and attempting to meet a girl under 16 by grooming. ‌ Mr Greenwood said the defendant has a "significant and appalling record" of seven convictions. These include; indecently assaulting a female under 14 and gross indecency with a child under 16 in 2005, breaching a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) in 2007, further breaches of the SOPO in 2010, multiple offences of causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity in 2013, breaches of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) in 2018 and further breaches of the SHPO in 2024. In mitigation, Peter Donnison said his client had been making efforts to earn qualifications while in prison, but he was finding it difficult to find employment when released because of his previous convictions. It was also said the defendant suffered a head injury as a child and has been diagnosed with arrested hydrocephalus. ‌ Sentencing, the Recorder of Cardiff, Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke said Taylor's sexual attraction to children was so strong he "struggled to pass them in the street". The judge added: "You are a predatory paedophile who uses children on the internet to gratify your own powerful and long standing sexual urges." Taylor was sentenced to seven years imprisonment, with an extended licence period of five years. A man who was arrested after staging a mock wedding with a child bride has been named as a British paedophile who has been on the sex registry list sine 2016. Pic: Metropolitan Police Independent report that the convicted paedophile spent up to £110,000 (€128,000) to hire the theme part for the private wedding event before it opened to the public. Jhaj was arrested when the actor hired to pay the father of the child bride reported him to police. He appeared before a judge in the north-east of Paris on Monday, charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and identity theft. A file image of Disneyland Paris. The court on Monday heard that he had been 'professional made up,' for the wedding on Saturday in order to disguise himself. The BBC have previously reported on Jhaj, who they say has been on the sex registry list since 2016 when he was found guilty of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds. Horrifyingly, this isn't the first time the convicted felon has staged productions involving youngsters and children with BBC News confirming there was a YouTube account boasting over 12 million subscribers for the videos. They add that another channel featured secretly filmed footage of one of the 15-year-old victims being sexually exploited. A statement from Metropolitan Police confirmed they were aware of the situation, writing: 'A 39-year-old man is wanted by the Met Police for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders' Register notification requirement. 'We are aware the man has been arrested in France for other matters and officers are in contact with the French authorities.'

Who Is Jaskarn aka Jacky Jhaj? ‘British Paedophile' In Spotlight For ‘Marrying' 9-Year-Old

Last Updated: Jacky Jhaj has been charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and identity theft. A British man has been arrested at Disneyland Paris for allegedly planning a fake wedding involving a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl. The man, identified as Jaskarn Jhaj, also known as Jacky Jhaj, was detained last weekend after an actor involved in the event tipped off police. French authorities revealed that the so-called 'mock wedding" was organised under the guise of a film shoot, with over 100 French extras reportedly involved. The event was set to take place within the theme park, which had been rented out for the production. Jhaj, 39, was later charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and identity theft and placed in pretrial detention. Convicted Paedophile This is not the first time Jhaj has drawn serious attention. According to a report in the BBC, he is a convicted paedophile in the UK with a known criminal record related to child sexual offences. In 2016, Jhaj was convicted of sexual activity with two 15-year-old girls. Since then, he has been placed on the UK sex offenders register and has been under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. He has also spent time in prison, but after his release, he continued to stage productions which involved children or young people. In 2023, he staged a fake film premiere in London's Leicester Square. For this, he hired hundreds of children from casting agencies, some of whom were as young as six. He wanted them to 'act like fans, scream his name and try to touch him." Many of the agencies reportedly had no idea about his criminal background. Teenage girls involved in the event told the BBC they were not informed who they were being asked to perform for. In another disturbing incident in June last year, Jhaj was spotted giving gifts to children outside a dance audition. A parent recognised him and raised the alarm. Two months later, he was filmed posing nude in front of a 'mocked-up" BBC News lorry that had been set on fire in public. YouTube Videos BBC also mentioned that Jhaj had uploaded videos of these staged events to a YouTube channel designed to look like an official performer's account. The channel reportedly had over 12 million subscribers and more than six million views. One of the videos, which was uploaded on a different channel, included secretly recorded footage of one of the 15-year-old girls he was convicted of sexually exploiting. Her family told the BBC that the video 'destroyed" her life and remained online for four years before it was taken down. Many such videos remained on his YouTube channel until last September, when Google, which owns the platform, took them down. BBC also gathered records from videographers, production assistants and technicians who worked on some of the events. It mentioned that the cost of hiring and venues 'has run into hundreds of thousands of pounds." Disneyland Paris 'Wedding" Production According to French media, the mock wedding was scheduled to take place at Disneyland Paris on Saturday. A 55-year-old actor, paid €12,000 (over Rs 12 lakh) to play the bride's father, became suspicious and alerted police on the morning of the shoot. Authorities say the nine-year-old Ukrainian girl had arrived in France two days before the event. She was not 'forced to play the role" of the bride. The French prosecutor stated that she had not been subjected to violence. Disneyland Paris had reportedly been booked under a fake Latvian ID. The park allows private rentals outside of normal operating hours and was unaware of the organiser's true identity. Officials now believe the cost of the mock wedding may have exceeded €130,000 (approximately Rs 1.3 crore). Wanted In The UK Following his arrest, the UK's Metropolitan Police confirmed that Jhaj is wanted in Britain 'for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders' Register notification requirement." Authorities in the UK are now working with French officials on the case. Location : Delhi, India, India First Published: June 26, 2025, 10:03 IST News viral Who Is Jaskarn aka Jacky Jhaj? British paedophile charged over mock Disneyland wedding to child

A British man arrested at Disneyland Paris for allegedly trying to stage a mock wedding with a child bride has been named. Paedophile Jacky Jhaj, 39, appeared at a French court on Monday charged in connection with the disturbing ceremony at the theme park on Saturday. Jhaj is well-known to UK police and was placed on the sex offenders register in 2016 after being found guilty of sexual activity with two underage girls in Feltham, West London. Reports suggest that around £110,000 was paid to hire Disneyland Paris for the private wedding event before the park opened to members of the public. Le Parisien, which first broke the story, said park staff alerted authorities when they saw the child playing the role of the bride appearing in high heels, barely able to stand. The BBC reported that the event was to be filmed by Jhaj's team with around 100 French extras recruited to take part. Following Jhaj's arrest, the BBC reported that he appeared before a judge in Meaux, Paris, charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, and identity theft. Prosecutors said the girl is a Ukrainian national who had arrived in France with her 41-year-old mother two days prior to the mock ceremony. Three other people were arrested on Saturday – including the girl's mother, a 24-year-old Latvian woman who played the sister of the bride, and the 55-year-old Latvian man hired to play the 'father of the bride', the tribunal in Meaux Jean-Baptiste Bladier said. Disneyland Paris was 'deceived' after the identity of a Latvian man and fake identification documents were used to secure the private event at the park, and that about a hundred hired extras were falsely presented to the company as wedding guests. Preliminary findings also stated the 'groom' had allegedly been 'made-up professionally so that his face appeared totally different from his own', according to the prosecutor. French prosecutors said on Tuesday they have been in touch with British authorities and identified the convicted sexual offender who is wanted in the UK. Since Jhaj was registered on the sex offenders list in 2016, he has been accused of holding staged productions involving young people, according to a BBC investigation. In 2023, the corporation alleged he hired hundreds of children to act as fans at a fake film premiere in London. In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: "A 39-year-old man is wanted by the Met Police for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders' Register notification requirement. "We are aware the man has been arrested in France for other matters and officers are in contact with the French authorities." The Independent has contacted the courthouse in Paris and Disneyland Paris.

UK police in contact with French after Briton charged over Disneyland ‘wedding'

Jaskarn 'Jacky' Jhaj, 39, is wanted by the Metropolitan Police for breaching a sexual harm prevention order and a breach of a sex offenders register notification requirement. He was placed under supervision after being convicted of sexual activity with two 15-year-old girls in 2016, having driven around Hounslow picking up schoolgirls. Jhaj has staged various bizarre events, including carrying out a controlled explosion of a van near Silvertown, east London in August last year while being filmed naked, and a mock film premiere in 2023 where he appeared alongside around 200 young women and girls. The Metropolitan Police did not name him, but said: 'A 39-year-old man is wanted by the Met Police for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders' Register notification requirement. 'We are aware the man has been arrested in France for other matters and officers are in contact with the French authorities.' On Tuesday, French prosecutors said a 39-year-old man, who reportedly played the 'groom' in the fake wedding ceremony, faces several counts of fraud, abuse of trust, money laundering and identity theft after his arrest at the entertainment resort in Marne-la-Vallee, France, on Saturday. The bride was a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl who had arrived in France with her 41-year-old mother two days prior to the mock ceremony. Police were called by a 'guest' who later claimed he was hired to play the father of the bride. A statement released by the prosecutor of the tribunal in Meaux Jean-Baptiste Bladier said the man 'explained he was paid 12,000 euros (£10,000) to play the role of the father of the bride and realised at the last minute that she was nine years old'. Four people were arrested on Saturday – including the British 'groom', the girl's mother, a 24-year-old Latvian woman who played the sister of the bride, and the 55-year-old Latvian man hired to play the 'father of the bride', the tribunal said. Prosecutors added Disneyland Paris was 'deceived' after the identity of a Latvian man and fake identification documents were used to secure the private event at the park, and that about a hundred hired extras were falsely presented to the company as wedding guests.
