Angel Reese slams Chicago Sky assistant's clipboard to the ground in furious outburst after latest defeat

Angel Reese has sparked controversy again after she was seen furiously slapping a clipboard out of her coach's hand in the Chicago Sky's defeat to the Washington Mystics on Tuesday. Just 48 hours after exploding at referees in a foul-mouthed rant during their loss to the Minnesota Lynx, Reese reacted angrily to a Chicago team assistant trying to hand her a clipboard as she headed to the bench while her team challenged a foul call. The television broadcast captured her violent outburst, which occurred with 29.9 seconds left in the game at George Mason University while the Sky were tied 77-77 with the Mystics. And WNBA fans are torn over Reese taking out her frustrations on the Chicago assistant. Some were quick to criticize her on X, including one user who commented: 'Can't be doing that reese'. 'Never seen anything like this! As a coach the board is the mvp. Can't let a player disrespect the X's and O's,' said another. Son im crying — Shabazz 💫 (@ShowCaseShabazz) July 8, 2025 While a third simply put: 'Embarrassing'. However, others leapt to Reese's defense and questioned why the assistant tried to hand her a clipboard in the first place. One asked: 'Cus why are you handing her a clipboard she's not the coach?' 'Why was she giving AR the clipboard tho,' wrote another. 'Can you blame her,' posted a third user. While a fourth concluded: 'she box office I can't lie'. Despite Reese putting up 22 points on the night, the Sky were eventually beaten 81-79 by the Mystics - marking their seventh defeat in 10 games. The 23-year-old's clipboard slam comes two days after she hit out at WNBA officials in a fiery postgame press conference after a defeat to the Lynx. Reese was getting battered in the paint and took out some of her frustration on officials - who only gave Chicago eight free throws in the game. Seven of those eight free throws came in the fourth quarter. After the contest ended, she addressed her anger with the lack of calls from officials: 'It's tough when you talk to officials and I asked them 'hey we only shot two free-throws, we've only been to the free-throw line twice up until the fourth quarter' and she tells me it's not her job. 'So I know it's frustrating because I know how hard we are battling inside [the paint]. 'I think we came down and fought as hard as we could with what we had. I just know that we'll continue to grow on this and I think this is a leaping step up for us. 'Obviously we know we can compete with the best, but that has to be fixed. I don't give a damn if I get fined because that s***'s cheap and I am tired of this s***.

In-state Iowa basketball 2026 recruit decommits from Hawkeyes

In-state Iowa basketball 2026 recruit decommits from Hawkeyes After reaffirming his commitment to Iowa in April, class of 2026 guard Navon Shabazz has now decommitted from the Hawkeyes. Hawkeye Insider's Sean Bock broke the news that Shabazz had decommitted from Iowa and that former Hawkeye head coach and current Penn men's basketball coach Fran McCaffery had offered. Shabazz is ranked as a three-star combo guard by 247Sports. 247Sports rates Shabazz as the nation's No. 21 combo guard and as the No. 4 player from Iowa. A member of Iowa United Prep, Shabazz picked up his initial offer from Iowa in February of 2024 before committing on Sept. 16, 2024. With a new head coach in Ben McCollum in place in Iowa City, it's not surprising that either the staff or player might have a different vision about the future as compared to the fit with the previous staff. Shabazz also picked up offers from Iowa State, Wake Forest, Siena and Southern Miss before initially committing to the Hawkeyes. The 2026 guard's decommitment leaves Iowa without a high school pledge in the cycle for the time being. Iowa flipped a pair of high school recruits in the 2025 class in former UNI signee Trevin Jirak and former Drake signee Tate Sage. Jirak is a 6-foot-10 center from Valley High School in West Des Moines, who averaged 16.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.1 blocks per contest while shooting 59.2% from the field, 38.6% from 3-point range, and 71.2% from the free-throw line. According to On3, Jirak is a three-star addition to the program, the nation's No. 27 power forward and the top player from Iowa in the 2025 class. Meanwhile, Sage is a 6-foot-7 guard from Weatherford, Oklahoma, that averaged 11.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game during his junior season. Florida Man Threatens To Shoot 9-Year-Old Black Girl Selling Candy

A mother in Florida has moved to take legal action against her neighbor after a violent social media post threatening to cause harm to her child. According to the Atlanta Black Star, Tyler Chambers, a resident of the Tampa, FL. suburb of Riverview, caught the 8-year-old daughter of Beyond Shabazz on his doorbell camera. The child, Sincere, and her 11-year-old cousin were going door-to-door selling candy for a fundraiser. After Chambers took a screenshot of the security footage, he shared it on social media, with a profane message alerting others that if he was at home during the seemingly innocent visit, he would have responded violently to the children. 'You're lucky we weren't home to shoot your a** dumb bi**h,' he wrote in a now-deleted post. Although he removed the post due to backlash, screengrabs of the upload were captured and shared with many, suggesting he should lose his job, among other consequences. Shabazz came to learn of the threat to her daughter's safety after posts condemning Chambers went viral. 'This incident occurred on Monday, April 14th, at approximately 4 PM in the afternoon. I am just now seeing this all over my social media, and I immediately called the police to file a report,' wrote Shabazz on a GoFundMe Campaign. The fundraiser was launched to financially support legal action she plans to take against Shabazz. As of Friday morning (April 25), the campaign stood at just $3 short of its goal, with $15,597 collected. 'I was told by officers that he and his family have left their home due to threats from all over because of the post he made about my daughter. He has been exposed all over the internet; they have found his address, job, and his past record,' she explained. She continued to claim that Chambers not only made the absurd post but also created false motives. 'He is now asking police to simply have a conversation with me, and I won't let it happen because he and his wife thought it would be a good idea to lie publicly! Tyler Chambers and his wife, Cassidy Chambers, stated on social media they were going to hurt my little girl because she knocked on the door. His exact words were, 'YOU'RE LUCKY WE WEREN'T HOME TO SHOOT YOUR A**, DUMB BI**H' to a 9-year-old!! Then he goes on to say he apologizes after his post went viral but then lies and says that she and her brothers, which she doesn't have, tried to break into his house.' Shabazz continued to allege, 'Not only did they lie about her trying to break into their house, but they also claimed they were not home in the original post. Then later, the wife said she was home with their 7-month-old at the time and she was scared.' According to the outlet, Chambers initially explained, 'I saw that on my camera and have a wife and 7-month-old at home, which I will protect as you would. I was hot when I posted it which is why I deleted it right away I could have handled it a lot different,' before deactivating his social media accounts. Amid being doxxed, social media outrage led users to Chamber's LinkedIn page, which led to his alleged employer, Mister Car Wash, being blasted with complaints. 'This individual is not employed by Mister Car Wash – any reports suggesting otherwise are not accurate. Their actions are reprehensible and in direct conflict with our values. We have zero tolerance for hate speech in any form. Thank you for your message and concern,' detailed an X account attributed to the company in response to the backlash. The message was also previously shared from a Mister Car Wash Facebook account. A screenshot was uploaded to Shabazz's GoFundMe campaign, as pictured above. 'I have reached out to the authorities, and this is an open investigation. I will do everything in my power to put this sick bastard in jail,' declared Shabazz. 'My child does not feel safe in her neighborhood now due to this, and now every time she clicks on her Facebook or TikTok, she sees what this monster posted about her for the world to see. ' She continued, 'I will not let this go under the rug. I promise I will make an example out of this fool.' EXCLUSIVE Mom reveals her furious response to homeowner who threatened to shoot her innocent little girl on his doorstep

When a mother found out that a man threatened to shoot her nine-year-old daughter on his doorstep as she innocently sold candy in their neighborhood, she took matters into her own hands and grabbed her gun. Beyond Shabazz, from Tampa, Florida, learned about the horrific threat against her daughter Sincere after Tyler Chambers posted an image of the girl to a community Facebook group on April 14 when she rang his doorbell to sell candy bars. In his unhinged post, Chambers, a white man, wrote: 'Your lucky we weren't home to shoot your a** dumb b****.' It quickly went viral and drew a slew of reactions across the community and country, but when Shabazz saw it her motherly instincts kicked in immediately. The day after her daughter walked up to Chambers' home, Shabazz was at the grocery store when her sister started to text and call her several times. Once she got back home, family members ran outside and informed her that Sincere was viral and 'her face was everywhere.' After seeing the post, Shabazz, in the heat of the moment, grabbed her licensed firearm and made her way over to Chambers' home, she told She soon came to her senses and decided it was best to call the police to take care of the issue. When officers arrived, she made them aware of the gun in her bag and told them that she knew she was 'wrong' for initially reacting like that. Although Chambers posted a screenshot of her daughter to the page, Shabazz saw the video of Sincere approaching his home that day. Shabazz allowed Sincere to have fun outside after school that day with her 11-year-old cousin - something she said was 'normal' for them. She said she knew her daughter would sometimes go around the block selling items, but she wasn't aware of it that day. Shabazz said Sincere got the idea to do so after witnessing girl scout girls do the same. In the clip of Sincere approaching Chambers' door, Shabazz said it was hard to see her daughter because it was blurry, but she clearly heard her curse several times. After being made aware of her daughter's profane language, Shabazz said she took away her devices and had a serious talk with her. Chambers has since deleted the post and deactivated his social media accounts, but before he did so, he alleged that the girl was acting as a 'decoy' for an alleged break-in at his home, but did not provide evidence to support his accusation. He later went on to seemingly explain his actions and choice of words, writing: 'I saw that on my camera and have a wife and 7-month-old at home, which I will protect as you would. 'I was hot when I posted it which is why I deleted it right away I could have handled it a lot different,' Chambers said, adding that he wanted to find the girl's parents 'to have a conversation with them.' He continued: 'But yes I could have handled it a lot different and wanted to apologize but I was trying to protect the family and it was the wrong way.' Shabazz saw his response and told 'I don't have anything to say to him.' Since the vicious attack, the heartbroken mother said her child has not been herself. 'She's not doing too well,' Shabazz said, adding that Sincere has not been the 'fun, easy going child' she normally is. 'She shut all the way down,' the mother continued, adding that she is scared to leave the house because she fears she might be recognized. Shabazz filed a police report against Chambers and is currently working with police, although she felt like officers 'were trying to defend him [Chambers]' when they talked with her about it. She launched a GoFundMe page to help raise money for her family's legal fund. As of Thursday afternoon more than $15,000 was raised. Shabazz also created a petition to get Chambers arrested for his online threat against her daughter. 'Our lives were irrevocably altered when Tyler Chambers brazenly threatened my 9-year-old daughter online, stating in no uncertain terms that he wished harm upon her for simply knocking on his door,' she wrote. More than 1,300 people have signed the petition. Many social media users have called for Chambers to be fired from his job as a general manager at Mister Car Wash in Tampa. The company has received a slew of negative comments online since the incident unfolded. It is unclear if he still works there. contacted the company for comment. Police told Shabazz that Chambers, his wife Cassidy and their seven-month-old child moved out of their home after their address and personal information was shared online following the incident.
