Days after the premiere, Rihanna returned to her home country of Barbados on July 8 to attend the funeral of her father, Ronald Fenty, alongside A$AP Rocky and their sons. The service was held at Garfield Sobers Gymnasium, with the burial taking place at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens in Christ Church. Fenty passed away on May 31 at the age of 70 due to complications from pancreatic cancer, acute respiratory failure, and aspiration pneumonia. Though their relationship had been rocky in the past, Rihanna and her father had reportedly reconciled in recent years.

She then told her daughter that's it's OK for her to voice her displeasure after Ashanti said that 'ultimately' it was his decision. 'As your mom and your manager, it's my job to make sure you can voice your opinion on what you feel and what you know,' she said right before Nelly walked into the room to announce that he decided to do it. Khadiyah "KD" Lewis, the reality TV personality best known as a cast member on the VH1 series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, has died. Her brother Jamaal Lewis confirmed the news on Instagram, writing, "Rest In Peace To My Sister Khadiyah Lewis, She Was The Best." Jamaal told the Shade Room that his sister died May 30, at 44. "This has been an extremely emotionally devastating time. All prayers, condolences, and well wishes are sincerely appreciated," he said in a statement. "At this time, we have decided not to discuss anything surrounding her death or why she passed away." Judge Grants Chris Brown Bail After Alleged Nightclub Assault
A London court has granted Chris Brown bail following charges of grievous bodily harm stemming from an alleged nightclub assault. The alleged victim, music producer Diaw, claimed that Chris Brown attacked him without provocation during a nightclub outing at around 3 am. According to Diaw, the "Under the Influence" singer struck him on the head multiple times with a bottle before kicking and punching him while he was on the ground. "He hit me over the head two or three times. My knee collapsed as well," Diaw told the press. He required hospital treatment and reportedly needed crutches following his discharge. As a result of the incident, Diaw filed a $16 million civil lawsuit against Brown for damages related to injuries and emotional distress. A day after his arrest, Brown appeared in a Manchester courtroom after he was charged.
