Hong Kong policemen draw guns to subdue man, 19, who allegedly attacked 2 women
Hong Kong police officers drew their guns and pepper spray bottles to subdue a man who allegedly attacked two women in Sham Shui Po early on Monday. Advertisement The man, 19, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attacking a 56-year-old woman with a knife and broom at the intersection of Pei Ho Street and Yu Chau Street, injuring her arm. Upon receiving a report, officers rushed to the scene and located the suspect in Pei Ho Street Market. He was pulling the hair of a 65-year-old woman, who later reported feeling a headache. A source said guns and pepper sprays were pulled out when officers attempted to subdue the suspect, a recognisance form holder from Vietnam. He has autism and receives regular check-ups at Princess Margaret Hospital. Before he attacked the two women, he was holding a broom and talking to himself on the street, the source added. Hong Kong footballer makes Tai Po pledge, as club demand fee for any mainland China move
Hong Kong international Nicholas Benavides has pledged to never give up on his bid to win over Tai Po title-winning head coach Lee Chi-kin. The versatile left-footer has made as many appearances for the city team, six, as he has starts for Tai Po, since he joined from Sham Shui Po last summer. Rumours over a potential switch to the mainland were shut down by Lee, who said he had received no offers, but would want a transfer fee to allow Benavides to leave. 'We are a professional club and should receive a fee when a player has a contract,' Lee said. The player said he 'struggled a bit last term' but that he had pledged to keep going. 'It's about your mentality and whether you want to give up,' Benavides said. 'I won't. I always come and try to play, and will wait for my time to show the coach [I deserve to be selected]. 'He is keen for me to stay, I trust him, and am thankful for his trust. I will stay this season, fight for Tai Po, and keep working hard.' Benavides, 23, made his city team debut last October, and two months later scored in games against Mongolia and Guam. He came off the bench against both South Korea and China in this month's East Asian Championship.

Hong Kong teen dies after being found unconscious in bedroom with ‘space oil' drug
A 17-year-old has died in a Hong Kong hospital after being found unconscious in his bedroom, where police also discovered the narcotic 'space oil', the Post has learned. A police source said on Monday that the teenager's mother had attempted to wake him at their home in Cheung Sha Wan at around 8.45am on Sunday. He was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre in Sham Shui Po, where he was declared dead at 9.49am on Sunday. A police spokesman said officers discovered multiple dangerous substances in the flat, including a vape device containing liquid etomidate, the main ingredient in the drug commonly known as 'space oil'. Cannabis and ketamine were also seized. The source said the 'space oil' was inside the bedroom where the teenager was found. There were no suspicious injuries on his body, but he had multiple self-inflicted wounds on his shoulders and forearms. The teenager did not leave the flat on Saturday. At around 5am the following morning, his father saw him using the bathroom and said he appeared normal. The father also reminded him to take his prescribed psychiatric medication, which he did before returning to his room.
