Ed Sheeran only wears white T-shirts
Ed Sheeran has shown off his wardrobe - but it only contains white t-shirts. The Shape of You hitmaker shared a funny TikTok video in which he showed off the contents of a clothing rail and explained when he wears each of the garments, despite them all being identical. Ed, who was wearing one of the plain white crew neck tops in the clip, pulled the hangers off the rail one by one and explained: "This is my wardrobe, and this is basically the T-shirt I wear to be on stage, and when I finish on stage, and I go out, I wear this T-shirt. "And when I have my day off and I'm trying to chill out, I wear this, which is always very important. "Sometimes if I'm actually going to be really really fancy, if I'm really fancy and I want to go out for a nice dinner, I wear this T-shirt. "Then, when I'm in the studio, I wear that. "And when I do the school visits with Kev, plain. "Spaghetti bolognese, but you might spill it — it'll be good. "So that's my wardrobe. What do you think?" An account for TikTok was quick to join in the joke. They commented: "Was hoping to see your fav clothes to scroll TikTok in [cry laughing face emoji] (sic)" Ed previously admitted his friend Sir Elton John is one of the biggest critics of his "boring wardrobe". The Castle on the Hill singer wore an uncharacteristically colourful Versace blazer to the 2021 GQ Men of the Year awards and explained at the time his pal had given him some advice on what to wear to the event. He told The Sun newspaper at the time: 'Before I came tonight I FaceTimed Elton to show him the results. He's been slagging off my boring wardrobe for years. "I'm not really a fashion guy but I've had to start to show an interest – he loves it. Elton approved — it's very him. 'I actually feel pretty good in it and it's a while since there were big events on, so here I am. I'd feel less comfortable in an ordinary suit. It's easier being in this.'

Will Ed Sheeran Face Court Trial Over Thinking Out Loud Copyright Issue? Here's What We Know
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled against the hearing of a lawsuit filed over Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud copyright. The filing stated that the musician's hit 2014 single was copied from Marvin Gaye's classic song, Let's Get it On. The case was first filed against the singer by Structured Asset Sales, a company that holds a partial stake in Gaye's song. The company is owned by the banker, David Pullman. The company filed a lawsuit against Sheeran, the music label Warner Music, and the publisher Sony Music Publishing, seeking money over the similarity with Marvin Gaye song. Supreme Court's ruling in Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud plagiarism case According to the media reports, the case against the Photograph crooner was dismissed last year. The judge claimed that the song's tunes and music were too common to require copyright protection. Meanwhile, in a separate filing against Ed Sheeran by the heirs of Ed Townsend, the co-writer of Gaye's song, the judge sided with the Shape of You singer. In his filing, the judge stated, 'We spent the past eight years talking about two songs with dramatically different lyrics, melodies and four chords, which are also different and used by songwriters every day all over the world.' He further stated, 'These chords are common building blocks that were used to create music long before 'Let's Get It On' was written and will be used to make music long after we are all gone. They are in a songwriter's alphabet, our toolkit, and should be there for all of us to use. No one owns them or the way they are played, in the same way nobody owns the color blue.' Meanwhile, the high-profile case was followed by Marvin Gaye's team filing yet another case against Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams, who were ordered to pay 5 million USD, after Thicke's song Blurred Lines, was copied from Gaye's 1977 hit Got to Give it Up.

Ed Sheeran's bitter family rift as star faces backlash over Irishness
Ed Sheeran has faced backlash following his candid interview with Louis Theroux, in which the singer claimed he 'identifies culturally' as Irish. The Shape of You star, 34, opened up to the journalist on his podcast, revealing his family's heritage. Ed, who was born in Halifax and raised in Suffolk before moving to London to pursue his dreams, recalled his childhood holidays to Ireland. He explained to Louis how his dad, one of eight siblings, is from Belfast. He was born to Nancy Mulligan and William Sheeran. While Nancy was a Catholic from the Republic of Ireland, William was a Protestant who was born in Northern Ireland. The duo fell in love during the Second World War, with their connection causing tension on both sides of the family. Despite the furore from their families, Nancy and William enjoyed a marriage spanning almost seven decades. William died in 2013, while Ed mourned his grandmother's death in 2023, aged 98. The bitter fallout was Ed's inspiration behind his huge hit from 2017 titled after his grandmother. During her funeral, Ed's dad referenced the love story in his speech. He said: "Mum met Dad, a dental student, at a Guy's nurses' home party. Friendship turned into love, but the Northern Ireland Presbyterian side of dad's family did their utmost to end the relationship. "Their wedding was attended by only one family member – mum's twin sister Peggy. They lived above that dental surgery in South London with a growing family. Eventually five boys and three girls. Mum joked to us that she had originally wanted 11 children so she could feel the football or cricket team." Speaking of his heritage, Ed told The Louis Theroux Podcast. "I class my culture as Irish. I think that's what I grew up with. My mum's family is very, very small, it's her and her parents, and my dad's family is… he's got seven brothers and sisters. "We'd spend all of our holidays in Ireland. My first musical experiences were in Ireland, I grew up with trad music in the house. So I identify culturally as Irish, but I was obviously born and raised in Britain.". He added: "I do feel like my culture is something that I'm really proud of and grew up with and want to express. And I feel like just because I was born in Britain doesn't necessarily mean that I have to just be (British), there's loads of people I know that are half this or quarter this." He also admitted the country was "basically my second home musically". " I'd say Ireland is the place that I am most successful musically," he claimed. However, he was met with mixed response to his comments online. "They can have him," one Twitter/X user fumed. "Why can't he just identify as himself," asked another. There were comments of support too, though, with one user explaining: "It's not where you're born. It's your bloodline that determines what you are. "Cliff Richard was born in India. Is he Indian? You can be born anywhere in the world. That doesn't automatically make you part of that culture." And Ed also reiterated the point in a response online. He commented: "My dad is Irish. My family is Irish. I have an Irish passport. The culture I was brought up around is Irish. "The first music I learnt was Irish. Just coz I was born somewhere else doesn't change my culture, I can be allowed to feel connection to a place half of my family is from."

Ed Sheeran reveals intense safety measures he's taken to protect family
Ed Sheeran has revealed that he has 24-hour security at his Suffolk house after an attempted break-in. The singer, 34, has a sprawling estate in West Sussex, which is made up of five houses which he purchased in 2012. This is just one part of his large property portfolio reportedly worth £57 million, but the Suffolk home is where he resides with his wife and two daughters in what he calls Sheeranville. In a recent interview, the Castle on the Hill singer revealed that there are intense security measures at the property, ensuring his family's safety. 'I do think that there is a different kind of normal that is our business. I have like 24-hour security on my house. I have security with my kids. 'I have security with me. I have security with my wife, just because there have been a couple of weird things over the years that have happened,' he said on The Louis Theroux Podcast. He clarified that this practice was completely normal in the music industry because of the 'dangerous people' out there and a recent break-in attempt. 'Just so you know, there are lots of dangerous people out there. We've had like you know, a break-in attempt. 'In my industry, that's normal. That's kind of like an underlying thing that no one really talks about, but that is kind of a part of being in the public eye.' Ed married his childhood friend Cherry Seaborn in 2018 after the pair began dating in 2015. The couple had children just a couple of years after tying the knot withLyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, born in 2020, and Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran, born in 2022. While in conversation with Louis, Ed also spoke about his children's privacy as he explained why fans will rarely see images of his two daughters. 'I'm very, very private about my children's image … I can't take them to zoos or parks or anything really without someone trying to film them. 'There are times where the normal parts of life I kind of mourn for and wish I could push my kid on a swing in a public park and it not be weird, you know?' He added that his children had not 'signed up' to being famous: 'People go, well that's the trade-off. But my kids have not signed up to that.' This isn't the first time the Shape of You singer has spoken about the tough parts of fame, explaining previously that he locked himself at home when he found the public scrutiny too intense. More Trending In 2017, he told The Sun: 'I stayed inside for four months. I just ordered food in and watched movies. 'I couldn't just go out and get a pint of milk. I always wanted to maintain normality – being able to go to the pub or go and do a gig. 'I just stopped going out, instead I was ordering takeaways and putting on a lot of weight. I hadn't got any balance, so I just stayed inside.' Got a story?
