UAE weather tomorrow: Fair to party cloudy day, 43°C maximum in Dubai
The weather in the UAE on Saturday, June 28, is expected to be fair to partly cloudy in general, with clouds appearing eastward by afternoon, according to the copuntry's National Center of Meteorology (NCM). It will be humid by Saturday night and Sunday morning over some coastal areas. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times, are expected, with a speed of 10–20kmph, reaching 35kmph. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea. Temperatures in Dubai is expected to range between 32°C minimum and 43°C maximum, while in Abu Dhabi it will be between 30°C and 40°C. Temperatures in Sharjah will range between 30°C and 44°C. The highest temperature recorded over the country on Friday, June 27, was 49.9°C in Sweihan (Al Ain) at 2pm UAE local time.

Air Arabia launches its new route to Sochi in Russia
Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa's first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) operator, inaugurated its new route to the Russian city of Sochi with a frequency six weekly flights. The new service marks the sixth Russian city to be served directly from Sharjah, alongside Moscow, Kazan, Samara, Ufa, and Yekaterinburg, further expanding Air Arabia's network in the country. Commenting on the launch, Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said, "We are glad to inaugurate our non-stop flights to Sochi, further strengthening our connectivity with Russia. Sharjah: Man helps extinguish fire with own crane, honoured for heroic act
An Asian resident of Sharjah has been awarded for his heroic act of assisting in extinguishing a vehicle fire. Brigadier Yousef Obaid Al Shamsi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, honoured the man after he volunteered to use his private vehicle — a crane — to help extinguish the fire. The fire erupted in a waste transportation company's vehicle in one of the industrial areas of the emirate. As soon as he saw the blaze, he volunteered his own crane to be used with Civil Defence vehicles. His act helped reduce the chances of the fire spreading and facilitated the firefighters' task of controlling the fire in record time with no casualties. Brigadier Al Shamsi praised the resident's courage and quick action, stressing that his efforts reflect a societal awareness that contributes to supporting Civil Defence efforts and reducing losses.

Dubai's RTA announces 2-month traffic diversion at E311 starting June 28
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a traffic diversion at the Al Barari Underpass on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), starting Saturday, June 28, 2025. The diversion, expected to last for two months, is part of ongoing work s to improve rainwater and groundwater drainage systems, as well as road resurfacing in the area. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, including the Dubai–Al Ain Bridge (U-turn towards Jebel Ali) or the Global Village Underpass and Umm Suqeim Street intersection (U-turn towards Sharjah), to avoid delays. Planning ahead is strongly recommended to ensure a smooth commute. Check out the map below, as shared by RTA: Meanwhile, in Sharjah, the Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced a full road closure from Al Intifada Street to Al Corniche Street. This closure will be in effect from Friday, June 27, to Sunday, July 27, marking the first phase of an infrastructure development project. Abu Dhabi will also see traffic changes. A partial closure is scheduled on Sultan Bin Zayed the First Street from Friday, June 27, to Monday, June 30. Additionally, the free right turn from this street to Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street will be closed from 12am on June 27 until 5am on June 30.
