Sheikh Sultan approves new residential area in Kalba
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the allocation of a new residential area for citizens in Dhyatt suburb of Kalba City. The project will include a residential complex comprising 190 residential plots, a main park and a mosque. Eng. Khalid Bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Housing, told the Direct Line programme that the first phase of the project would begin with the construction of 54 residential units in that area.

14 July 2025 17:01 SHARJAH (WAM) His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved a new batch of housing support beneficiaries in the emirate of Sharjah, allocated for urgent cases, with a budget of Dh335 million.A total of 431 families will benefit, including 133 families currently living in rented accommodation, 201 families residing in overcrowded homes with relatives, 61 families living in inherited houses, and 36 families in old and structurally unfit these applications fall under the grant category, and beneficiaries will receive ready-built government housing. The approval was announced by Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Housing, during a phone-in segment on the 'Direct Line' programme, broadcast on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.

Showcasing Sharjah's housing vision The department's delegation was led by Eng Salem Hamad Al Abdouli, Director of the Department of Housing. Abdullah Mahmoud delivered a presentation on advanced technical practices adopted by the department. These included the use of green concrete, smart building systems, and other eco-friendly innovations that support the creation of integrated, sustainable urban communities.
