Collector reviews arrangements for Aadi Amavasai at Memalayanur temple
District Collector Sheik Abdul Rahman reviewed the arrangements being made for the 'Aadi Ammavasai' festival at the Melmalayanur Angalamman temple.
Chairing a meeting at the Collectorate on Monday, Mr. Rahman reviewed the arrangements being put in place for ensuring public transport, drinking water supply, medical support and other amenities for the benefit of the devotees.
The Collector said that entry of heavy vehicles would be restricted on Thursday. Sanitary workers would be deployed in adequate numbers to ensure cleaning operations round-the-clock. Elaborate security arrangements have been made to regulate the crowd and CCTVs have been installed in addition to the control room, he added.
Officials from the departments of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR and CE), Transport, Rural Development, Health and Family Welfare and senior officers from the Police department participated.
