Watch: Abu Dhabi Crown Prince meets Putin in Minsk, Belarus
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has met Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting today in Minsk, Belarus. At the outset of the meeting, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi conveyed the greetings of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Vladimir Putin, extending best wishes for his health and wellbeing, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of Russia and its people. In turn, President Vladimir Putin asked the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to convey his sincere greetings to the President of the UAE, along with his best wishes for the enduring success and development of the UAE and its people. The meeting between the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and President Putin explored the deep-rooted friendship and strong strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation. The two sides exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual interest and discussed several key items on the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting agenda, particularly the importance of advancing sustainable development goals to foster prosperity for nations and communities worldwide.

'Sheikh Hamdan paid everyone's bill': UAE royals surprise Dubai Mall diners
When Emirati Noura Mohammed AlMarzooqi sat down to lunch at La Maison Ani on Wednesday, she had no idea that her bill would be paid by none other than the Crown Prince himself! Noura was one of the several diners at the restaurant who caught a glimpse of two UAE leaders casually strolling in for lunch and then were surprised by having their meals fully paid for. On Wednesday, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as well as Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan had lunch at the restaurant, accompanied by a group of aides and friends. 'They were super friendly and said hello to everyone and made the experience really great for us,' said Noura. 'When I asked for the cheque after my meal, the restaurant informed me that Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed had paid everyone's bill. Only in UAE will you see the royal families spending lovely time with their people and spreading kindness and making the experience priceless.' Videos shared on social media show the leaders walking into the restaurant and greeting other diners with an Islamic salutation wishing them peace. The group had lunch at the eatery, run by Chef Izu Ani, one of the most influential chefs in the region. He is also behind concepts such as Alaya, Gaia, and Kai Enzo. Here's a video of their visit: 'Honour and privilege' The restaurant has called it an "honour and privilege" to have the Sheikhs visit them. In a statement shared with Khaleej Times, the restaurant said they were 'grateful' for the opportunity. 'It was an absolute honor and privilege for our team to welcome Their Highnesses to La Maison Ani,' it read. 'The experience was seamless, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve them. Moments like these are a proud reminder of the trust placed in us to deliver excellence at every level.' They also explained how the visit was. 'The Crown Princes maintained a warm and respectful presence throughout their visit,' it continued. 'While the occasion was private, their gracious demeanour and generosity left a lasting impression. Both our team and surrounding guests deeply appreciated the atmosphere their presence brought. The visit took place during lunch in a calm and elegant setting. Out of respect for Their Highnesses' privacy, we will not be disclosing further details.'

Sheikh Khaled meets Russian President Vladimir Putin in Minsk
, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on Friday met Russian President Vladimir Putin. Sheikh Khaled was in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on behalf of President Sheikh Mohamed to attend the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting. The meeting brought together heads of state and governments from the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, chaired by President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus. The UAE was participating in the meeting as a guest of honour, at the invitation of the Belarusian President. Sheikh Khaled earlier on Friday met Mr Lukashenko as a trade agreement was reached between the UAE and Belarus, to usher in a "new era" of private-sector collaboration. The leaders witnessed the exchange of the trade in Services and Investment Agreement, which will expand access for UAE businesses in key areas such as finance, consulting, education and healthcare. Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Co-operation; Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince; Mariam Al Mheiri, Chairwoman of the Abu Dhabi Media Office and Adviser of Strategic Relations at the Crown Prince Court; and Ibrahim Al Musharrakh, UAE Ambassador to Belarus.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on Friday held talks in Minsk with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko as a trade deal was made between the countries to usher in a "new era" of private-sector collaboration. The leaders witnessed the exchange of the trade in Services and Investment Agreement, which will expand access for UAE businesses in key areas such as finance, consulting, education and healthcare. The partnership will provide new opportunities for direct foreign investment and joint ventures between the friendly nations, Abu Dhabi Media Office reported. Belarus is a key economic partner for the UAE. In 2024, bilateral non-oil trade surged to about $3.9 billion (Dh14.2bn), a fivefold increase on 2023 and a 47-fold rise compared to 2021, when trade volumes stood at just $82.6 million (Dh303m). Sheikh Khaled and Mr Lukashenko reviewed efforts to further bolster bilateral ties between their countries during the meeting at the Palace of Independence in the Belarus capital. The meeting covered ways to broaden the scope of co-operation in areas of shared interest, particularly in the fields of economy, investment and development. The two sides also exchanged views on key regional and international developments, highlighting the importance of advancing efforts to promote peace and stability. Sheikh Khaled chairs Adnoc executive committee meeting
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the executive committee of Adnoc's board of directors. During the meeting, Sheikh Khaled reviewed Adnoc's financial performance in the first quarter of 2025 while being updated on the company's progress in maximising Abu Dhabi's oil and gas resources. The company's new AI tool, MEERAi, was introduced at the meeting. It will be used across Adnoc to enable smarter and quicker decision-making, state news agency Wam reported. Sheikh Khaled was also briefed on Adnoc's participation in the Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025, held in the capital in May, before he highlighted the company's efforts to boost local manufacturing and strengthen the country's industrial base. Adnoc's efforts to support the development of future Emirati leaders in the company was also discussed. Attending the meeting were Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Adnoc managing director and group CEO; Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, managing director and group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company; and Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance.
