Indian Heritage Pavilion Returns at HGH India 2025

The 17th edition of HGH India opened today in Mumbai, once again spotlighting India's rich artisanal traditions with the return of the Indian Heritage Pavilion. This specially curated pavilion continues its decade-long legacy of showcasing India's traditional craftsmanship to a global audience. Running until July 4th, the exhibition highlights the essence of India's cultural artistry—featuring a wide array of handcrafted works in metal, wood, terracotta, ceramics, bamboo, jute, coir, textiles, and embroidery, all rooted in eco-conscious materials and methods. This year, the Pavilion welcomed National Awardees and Shilp Gurus from across India: Smt. Shyamalata Gahlot (Rajasthan) presented exquisite Koftgiri —gold and silver inlay on lifestyle decor and furniture. Shri Ram Soni (Alwar), a decorated Sanjhi papercut artist and recipient of the UNESCO and Shilp Shiromani Awards , showcased the intricate paper stencil tradition with global resonance. Smt. Sutapa Bhunia (Mumbai) exhibited fine hand embroidery blending classic motifs with modern styling. Shri Mohammad Matloob (Delhi), a Shilp Guru Awardee, impressed visitors with his detailed wood carving craftsmanship. The Pavilion stands as a key connector for artisans and retailers, architects, interior designers, and institutional buyers, offering a space for meaningful engagement and ethical sourcing. As HGH India 2025 progresses, the Indian Heritage Pavilion remains a central attraction for those seeking authentic, sustainable, and culturally rooted design solutions.
