Do hear it! — Harsh Goenka (@hvgoenka) May 1, 2025 One viewer gushed, 'Was lucky enough to attend his live concert ! New gen maestro!' Another user commented, 'I may not not agree with everything you share here but this is sure on another level.' However, not all reactions were unanimous. An individual wrote, 'This is nice, but it feels a bit too Gen Z—too casual. The sitar isn't meant for that vibe. It's an instrument that can lift us toward the divine. Have you heard Niladrikumar Kumar? He shows what the sitar is truly capable of.' Sharma, the youngest and final disciple of the legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar, is no stranger to the limelight. He's been making waves with viral videos in which he reimagines iconic soundtracks–ranging from The Godfather to Game of Thrones and Harry Potter –through the lens of classical sitar. Born into Rikhi Ram musical family, Sharma studied Music Production and Economics in New York City, fusing his heritage with a contemporary sensibility. Beyond his music, Sharma also champions mental health through his initiative ' Sitar For Mental Health,' where he uses music therapy to promote emotional well-being.
