Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launches Shrimad Bhagavatam film project
Chief Minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy highlighted the significance of the film industry in Telangana's economic future during a recent event at Ramoji Film City. At the launch of a new film project, 'Shrimad Bhagavatam Part-1', he spoke about the state's ambitious plans to boost its economy through strategic event celebrated the idea of bringing the epic 'Shrimad Bhagavatam' to the screen. Reddy acknowledged the film team's efforts, noting, 'I congratulate the movie team for coming up with the idea of making the film 'Shrimad Bhagavatam'.' He also recalled the popularity of the Ramayan serial, stating, 'Around 40 years ago, the Ramayan serial brought the epic Ramayana closer to every household.'advertisementReflecting on past successes, Reddy mentioned how a re-telecast of the Ramayan serial during the Covid-19 pandemic set a world record. He connected this to the present project, wishing it similar success: 'Just as Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan serial became hugely popular in those days, I wish that 'Shrimad Bhagavatam Part-1' becomes equally successful.' Akash Sagar Chopra, the producer of the project, shared an Instagram post thanking the Chief Minister. He wrote, 'Deeply honoured and grateful to have the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri Revanth Reddy Garu, grace the grand Muhurat Ceremony of our multi-part magnum opus – 'Shrimad Bhagavatam Part-1', held at Ramoji Film City (sic).'He further added, 'This multi-part cinematic journey aims to bring the divine verses of our greatest Purana to life on the big screen — and it all began with your hands blessing the first clap!' Film tourism to be one of mainstays of Telangana Rising-2047: CM
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has said that the film entertainment will be included as one of the main chapters in the 'Telangana Rising-2047' Vision document which is under draft stage. The Chief Minister inaugurated the 'Shrimad Bhagavatam Part-1' film project at Ramoji Film City on Monday. It is a pride for Telangana for having such a unique Ramoji Film City, the CM said, congratulating the creative film team for coming up with the idea of making 'Shrimad Bhagavatam' film. Revanth Reddy reiterated that his government is envisaging a plan for the robust growth of Telangana by achieving $1 trillion economy by 2035 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047 under the vision document. The Chief Minister recollected the popularity of the famous mythological Ramayana TV programme which brought a revolution in the TV entertainment industry 40 years ago. During the Covid pandemic also, the popular TV serial created a world record in viewership. The CM hoped that the 'Srimad Bhagavatam Part-1' movie would become as popular as the Ramayana serial produced by Ramanand Sagar.
