Army top brass vows to decimate terror proxies, facilitators

Listen to article The top military commanders declared on Thursday that "no one can coerce Pakistan through the use or threat of force" and that the hostile elements trained and financed to incite chaos in the country will be decimated. The declaration was made at the 270th corps commanders' conference chaired by Army chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the GHQ in Rawalpindi, according to a statement issued by the military's media wing, the ISPR. The forum extended its felicitations to the army chief on his conferment as Field Marshal, acknowledging his strategic foresight, resolute leadership and enduring contributions to national defence. The ISPR stated that the forum reaffirmed "Pakistan's unyielding resolve" to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any act of aggression or misadventure. The corps commanders, while reiterating Pakistan's strategic stance, declared: "No one can coerce Pakistan through the use or threat of force. The nation will take all measures necessary to safeguard its vital interests." The forum deliberated in depth on the threat posed by India-backed terrorist proxies operating in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Following its military failure in the wake of the Pahalgam incident, India, the so-called and self-claimed victim of terrorism but actually a perpetrator of terrorism and epicentre of regional instability, has upscaled the use of covert means, employing non-state actors to pursue its destabilisation agenda, it observed. The top military commanders resolved that Pakistan will never allow its peace to be compromised by externally-sponsored terrorism. The armed forces, in close synergy with intelligence and law enforcement agencies, will pursue all proxies and facilitators of terrorism with unrelenting resolve. "These hostile elements, trained and financed to incite chaos and fear, will be dismantled and decimated with full force of national will and institutional strength, Insha'Allah," they said. The forum undertook a comprehensive review of the prevailing internal and external security environment, with particular emphasis on the successful conclusion of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a decisive chapter of Marka-e-Haq, the ISPR stated. The military top brass offered Fateha for the martyrs of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and the heinous terrorist attack in Khuzdar, Balochistan, an atrocity perpetrated through India-sponsored proxies which resulted in the loss of four innocent children and two adults. "The forum unequivocally condemned this barbaric act, noting its deliberate targeting of non-combatants, particularly children, as a reprehensible violation of all norms of humanity and international conduct," the ISPR stated. The forum also paid solemn tribute to all martyrs of Marka-e-Haq who laid down their lives in defence of the nation during India's unprovoked aggression. "It reaffirmed that the sacred blood of the Shuhada (martyrs) shall not go in vain and safety and security of the people of Pakistan will continue to be the foremost priority of the armed forces." The participants lauded the professionalism, synergy, courage, and resilience of Pakistan's armed forces and the unwavering support of the nation, which together repelled aggression with exemplary precision and resolve. "The forum acknowledged Pakistan's media and information warriors who stood in step with the state against Indian propaganda onslaught, fake news and war hysteria, while accurately portraying facts and figures thereby fostering public trust and countering misinformation," the ISPR statement added. The top military commanders wholeheartedly recognised the spirit and dynamic contributions of the Pakistani youth, whose passion and patriotism rallied the national spirit as well as projection of national narrative. "The forum saluted the political leadership for their foresight and steering the nation during the Marka-e-Haq with utmost clarity, conviction and resolve," according to the ISPR statement. It was noted that history would recall with pride Pakistan's swift and resolute defensive posture, which neutralised a grave threat within hours of its emergence. Pakistan responded with strategic restraint and operational clarity, upholding both deterrence and moral authority, the military's media wing stated. The top military commanders also undertook a strategic overview of the regional environment, including the security posture along the Line of Control (LoC), the Working Boundary, and the eastern border, in light of the recent Pakistan-India conflagration. The forum expressed deep concern over persistent human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). It condemned these actions as they contributed to organic backlash and perpetuated cycles of violence. The forum underscored the urgent need for international attention and intervention to prevent further deterioration of peace and security in South Asia. The military commanders "reiterated full diplomatic, political, moral and humanitarian support for Kashmiri brothers and sisters and their just resistance for right of self-determination." The army chief commended the high morale, operational readiness, and professionalism of all ranks, as well as the steadfast support of the Pakistani nation, the military media wing stated. "He emphasised the blessings of Almighty Allah in guiding national efforts and directed all commanders to maintain a heightened state of vigilance and preparedness to address evolving threats across the spectrum." He reaffirmed the Pakistan Army's pivotal role in ensuring internal stability and securing national frontiers. He expressed profound appreciation for the enduring support of the people of Pakistan. "The people of Pakistan are our greatest strength. We remain committed to their trust and expectations in our shared struggle against any foreign aggression, terrorism and extremism," he added. The conference concluded with the field marshal expressing full confidence in the operational capability, preparedness and unwavering morale of all formations and institutions entrusted with the defence of the country.

Pakistan military releases details of operation ‘Bunyanum Marsoos'

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday disclosed operational details of 'Bunyanum Marsoos', Pakistan's retaliatory military campaign against India, launched in response to what it termed 'dastardly attacks' on Pakistani civilians. The conduct of Pakistan Armed Forces Operation 'Bunyanum Marsoos' was in response to Indian military's dastardly attacks that began on the night of 6 & 7 May 2025, resulting in the loss of innocent civilian lives, including women, children, and the elderly. 'Pakistan had vowed justice and retribution for the reprehensible Indian military aggression and brutal killings of our citizens. Alhamdulillah! Pakistan Armed Forces have delivered the promise made to our people,' it said. 'Armed Forces thank Almighty Allah for His infinite blessings, mercy, help, and divine support. Allah has ordained the believers to retaliate whenever they are wronged. We bow our heads to Him in utmost humility for enabling us to translate our resolve into decisive actions on the battlefield.' The statement added that 'our hearts and sympathies are with the wards and families of the Shuhada who sacrificed their lives for the beloved country. We pray for the quick recovery of our injured countrymen.' We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every officer, soldier, airman, and sailor of the Pakistan Armed Forces whose courage, professionalism, and sacrifice made this battlefield success possible, the ISPR said. The Pakistan Armed Forces express profound appreciation to the brave Pakistani nation for their unwavering moral strength, resolve, and wholehearted support during these trying times. This support served as the most potent force multiplier for our military. We are especially indebted to Pakistan's youth, who served as frontline cyber and information warriors, the statement added. Profound gratitude is due to Pakistan's vibrant media, which stood like Bunyanum Marsoos - a steel wall against Indian media's disinformation campaigns and reckless warmongering. We acknowledge the diplomatic corps for effectively presenting Pakistan's case in international forums with clarity and conviction. We recognize our scientists and engineers for developing indigenous, specialized technologies that proved instrumental in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos' success. The Armed Forces are grateful to all political leadership across party lines for their unified support in defending our motherland. Special gratitude goes to the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers for their decisive leadership during this critical period. Pakistan's response demonstrated textbook tri-service integration, enabled by: Real-time situational awareness Network-centric warfare capabilities Seamless multi-domain operations This synergy across air, land, sea, and cyber domains enabled: Precision engagement Overwhelming lethality Lightning operational tempo Using Fatah-1/F-2 missiles, PAF precision munitions, loitering munitions, and long-range artillery, we engaged 26 military targets in IIOJK and mainland India, including: Air Bases: Suratgarh, Sirsa, Bhuj Naliya, Adampur, Bhatinda Barnala, Halwara, Awantipura Srinagar, Jammu, Udhampur Mamun, Ambala, Pathankot Other Key Targets: BrahMos storage (Beas/Nagrota) S-400 batteries (Adampur/Bhuj) Military HQs (10 Bde/80 Bde) Intelligence units (Rajauri/Naushera) Logistics sites (Uri/Poonch) Throughout the operation: Our drones demonstrated capability over New Delhi and Gujarat Cyber operations degraded Indian military infrastructure Responses remained precise and proportionate Civilian casualties were carefully avoided The spike in Indian-sponsored terrorism in KP/Balochistan during operations further proves India's direct involvement in destabilizing Pakistan, it said. Marka-e-Haq exemplifies national unity against threats to our sovereignty, ISPR said, adding 'Let there be no doubt - any violation will meet comprehensive, decisive response.' 'They plan and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.' (Surah Anfal) Pakistan Zindabad! Pakistan Armed Forces Zindabad!
