Howrah sex racket accused charged with fraud
Howrah: Police have charged Shweta Khan, alias Fultusi, main accused in the Howrah sex racket case, with fraud after multiple IDs — including Aadhaar, PAN and EPIC — were allegedly found in her possession. Cops said the accused had used these documents to open accounts in multiple banks. Khan was presented before the Howrah chief judicial magistrate's bench on Saturday, which extended her police custody by five days. Fultusi and her son Aryan Khan were arrested last month after a 22-year-old woman from Sodepur alleged that she had been held captive and tortured by the duo. Police said the duo ran a sex racket in the name of running an event management company called Ishara Productions from a rented apartment in Howrah's Bankra, and would coerce women into pornography and sex work, subjecting those who refused to torture. Bengal porn racket case: Prime accused says she was framed, seeks fair probe
Kolkata: Shweta Khan alias Fultusi, the prime accused behind the West Bengal porn racket case, said on Thursday that she had been framed in the matter and her side of the story should also be heard. The West Bengal Police arrested her on Wednesday night. Khan will be presented at a trial court in the Howrah district later in the day. Earlier in the day, she was taken to the Domjur Rural Hospital in the same district, where she made these claims while speaking to the waiting media persons. 'I am being framed in the case. Let my side of the story be heard, also, and let the investigators check the facts. I have been arrested based on a complaint by the family members of a particular woman. That woman concerned is married and even has a kid,' Khan told media persons. After being on the run for quite some time, Khan was arrested on Wednesday night from a hideout at Alipore in South Kolkata. Earlier in the day on Wednesday, the policemen first arrested her son Aryan Khan and then her daughter Zoya Khan, a co-accused in the porn racket case. Based on the questioning of Aryan and Zoya, the state police arrested Shweta Khan, sources had said. The main charges against Shweta, Aryan, and Zoya are holding a woman from the North 24 Parganas district captive for six months and brutally assaulting her with an iron rod after she refused to participate in pornographic video shoots allegedly orchestrated by the three accused. Since Zoya is a minor, her case will be processed under the Juvenile Justice Act and referred to the Juvenile Justice Board. Aryan has already denied his involvement in the porn racket and said that he had a relationship with the victim woman who wanted to marry him. On Wednesday, police action in the matter was intensified after the National Commission for Women (NCW) took suo motu cognizance of the incident and wrote to the West Bengal DGP Rajeev Kumar, demanding immediate arrests under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The NCW also instructed the state police to ensure that the victim receives free medical treatment and psychological counselling. Additionally, the Commission has directed the DGP to submit a detailed action-taken report within three days. Meanwhile, West Bengal BJP President and Union Minister, Sukanta Majumdar, has alleged that Shweta Khan has close links with several senior leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress.

Police detain Bengal porn racket accused's mother, brothers for questioning
Howrah Police on Tuesday detained the mother of Shweta Khan, one of the prime accused in the alleged pornographic racket and torture case that has rocked West Bengal. The case involves serious allegations against Shweta and her son, Arian Khan, who are accused of running a porn racket and confining a woman for six months in Domjur, to sources, two of Sweta's brothers have also been taken in for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. The victim, a 23-year-old resident of North 24 Parganas, is currently battling for her life at the Sagor Dutta Medical College and Hospital. She reportedly sustained multiple injuries, including broken hands, feet, and bite wounds, after allegedly being tortured for refusing to act in pornographic content or work as a bar accused woman and her son are absconding and a search for them has been launched. We are trying to probe whether they were running any pornography film racket in the veil of running an event management agency," a police official told PTI. The case took a political turn after photos of Sweta Khan with several senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders surfaced online. Images show her posing with state minister Arup Roy, MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay, and former minister Rajib Banerjee. One Facebook profile under the name Sweta Khatoon, now at the centre of the controversy, lists her as 'works at TMC' and features cover photos of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and MP Abhishek Banerjee.

Hwh sex racket kingpin was in jail under Arms Act
Howrah: Howrah resident Shweta Khan, also known as Fultusi Begum, accused of running sex and trafficking rackets and supplying drugs, had been in 2015 jailed under the Arms Act for using a firearm during a dispute over property two years ago. DC South Surinder Singh confirmed on Wednesday that all allegations against Shweta were under probe. Police said Shweta was also found with multiple govt ID cards under different names. Following recent complaints of trafficking and drugs supply against Shweta and her son, Aryan, cops launched a probe and sent evidence for forensic analysis. Police have sought Howrah court permission to access her locked flat and check CCTV footage. Singh said, "Efforts are on to arrest Shweta and Aryan." tnn

Bengal woman confined for 6 months, beaten with iron rods for refusing porn work
A woman from West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district was beaten up and tortured by a man and his mother for not agreeing to shoot pornography and work as a bar dancer. The woman was confined in a flat for six months, where she was assaulted, with her hands, feet and teeth broken, beaten with iron rods and not provided food for incident came to light when the woman, a resident of Panihati in North 24 Parganas district, met a man named Arian Khan, a resident of Howrah district, who offered her a job with more income. The woman, who used to work with an event management company, believed him and moved to Howrah where she was forcefully confined in his flat in to the woman's family, she was allegedly offered by the accused and his mother Shweta Khan to shoot pornographic videos and work as a bar dancer. When the woman refused, she was assaulted and tortured by the accused in their flat. The accused even tried to insert an iron rod into her private parts. A family member of the woman alleged that she was beaten so badly that she was not able to stand up straight. She also claimed that the woman suffered injuries to her head, legs and waist as she was beaten repeatedly by iron woman, who is battling for her life at the Sagor Dutta Medical College and Hospital, said she had injury marks all over her body and was tortured and assaulted for five family filed a complaint at Khardaha police station and the woman managed to escape from the accused's house on Saturday. Police said a case was filed against the accused based on the woman's family's said Shweta Khan began a production house namely 'Isara entertainment' with Arian Khan. They opened a YouTube channel of their production house in 2021. However, only 11 music videos were uploaded in their channel in past four years, which raised to sources, it seems that the accused were involved in a pornographic racket along with their production house. It is learnt that Aryan Khan and his mother, Sweta Khan, were quite influential in the Khan allegedly used to file false complaints with the police against those who protested against them in any issue, even though he was involved in various anti-social activities, residents and his mother had allegedly not paid rent for the flat where they stayed. According to locals, Shweta Khan was known as Fultushi Begam in a local area, and she used to work as a bar dancer by sources said a raid was conducted at the Howrah residence of Arian and Shweta Khan, but both were not there.
