Orlando Pirates news: 8 signings confirmed, Saleng latest

From no signings in January to suddenly welcoming a flurry of established stars, Orlando Pirates recently broke the news of five arrivals. AmaZulu FC winger Tshepang Moremi and Stellenbosch midfielder Sihle Nduli, along with Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Yanela Mbuthuma, Masindi Nemtajela, Sipho Mbule, Tshepo Mashiloane, and Nkosikhona Ndaba will report for duty on July 1. Each player is a star in their own right, signifying a remarkable seven-player haul by the Buccaneers, who are desperate to end Mamelodi Sundowns' eight-year PSL reign. With two additional attackers joining the ranks, things are not looking good for Monnapule Saleng's future at Orlando Pirates. However, it will be fascinating to see how the new coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou, handles the situation. If the Moroccan-French manager wants to keep him, he could act as a peacemaker between the player and the club. Saleng hasn't featured for the Buccaneers since December 7. Meanwhile, Ouaddou is reportedly keen on a reunion with Marumo Gallants striker Junior Zindigo, a player Orlando Pirates have previously tried to sign. 'He was doing well before he picked up an unfortunate injury,' a source revealed. 'But even then, several clubs were monitoring him, Pirates included. Now that they're coached by someone who knows him well and is a big fan of his style, there's definitely a stronger possibility.' Orlando Pirates drop bombshell: Missing star sparks questions

Orlando Pirates have made headlines once again by unveiling a fresh batch of signings ahead of their pre-season training camp in Spain. However, the absence of one expected recruit has caused a stir. The Soweto giants officially welcomed seven new players to bolster their squad for the 2025/2026 campaign. Sihle Nduli, Yanela Mbuthuma, Nkosikhona Ndaba, Masindi Nemtajela, Tshepang Moremi, Tshepo Mashiloane, and Sinoxolo Kwayiba have all joined the Pirates' camp as preparations intensify for a season that includes a return to the CAF Champions League. This announcement follows a busy week for the club, which also saw the appointment of head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou and the high-profile signing of Sipho Mbule. The club also launched their new kit for the upcoming season, adding to the sense of momentum around Mayfair. One glaring omission from the list of new signings was midfielder Kabelo Kgositsile from Baroka FC. Reports previously suggested that the highly rated youngster had completed a move to Pirates, making his absence even more puzzling. Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has now set the record straight. 'Yes, (he signed with Pirates), but we agreed that he will join them next year,' Mphahlele confirmed, clearing up the confusion. Despite the already significant influx of talent, Pirates are not yet done in the market. A source revealed that more additions are on the cards before the squad jets off to Spain. 'Pirates are finalising one or two signings before they leave for Spain,' the source disclosed, suggesting that fans should expect more surprises soon. Did Orlando Pirates do the right thing by loaning Kabelo Kgositsile back? Let us know by leaving a comment below or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. Orlando Pirates told to pay R15M for talented African teenager!

Orlando Pirates are set to announce a number of new signings soon as the transfer window opens for next season. Pirates are rumoured to have been busy with boosting their squad ahead of another busy campaign in 2025/26. One of the positions that Pirates seem keen to revamp ahead of the new campaign, is their midfield. According to reports, the Buccaneers have transfer agreements in place to sign Sihle Nduli and Sinoxolo Kwayiba. Nduli would be arriving from Stellenbosch FC as a free agent, while Kwayiba is set to join from Chippa United. But that won't be all as this publication reported last week that they're back interested in Prince Ndlovu. The teenage Zimbabwean prodigy was on trial with the Pirates two-years ago but was primed for a move abroad instead. But after that did not materialise, he stayed at Highlanders FC who have quoted the Buccaneers R15m for his services! 'Highlanders FC value Prince (Ndlovu) and that's why they are pricing him at around R15million. For now this price is believed to be directed at South African team Orlando Pirates because apparently they are the ones who have enquired about his services. Highlanders believe it's a fair price looking at his talent, quality and future ahead of him,' said a source to Soccer-Laduma . Ndlovu was first introduced to South Africa and Pirates fans in March of 2023. That is when he came to train with the Sea Robbers after impressing their scouts with his progress in Zimbabwe. The player, still very young, has grown in leaps and bounds since then and is currently part of the Warriors' COSAFA Cup squad. Pirates already have two young wingers in Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota. Adding the exciting Ndlovu to the mix will increase their depth and strength for next season. Buccaneers will Ndlovu, would this be a good move for the club? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab. Or by emailing info@ or sending a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. Now according to Soccer-Laduma , Pirates are also targeting young Zimbabwean forward Prirnce Ndlovu. 'He (Ndlovu) trained with Pirates in March 2023 and and at that time he was only 16-years-old. He was preparing to go to Europe but things didn't work out. It's believed that since then Pirates scouts have apparently been monitoring him and now they are willing to give him a chance at the team. They have kept tabs on him and they are impressed by his progress at Highlanders FC in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe,' said the source to the same publication. A second source said that Pirates will be monitoring Ndlovu in the ongoing COSAFA Cup in Bloemfontein. 'Pirates will have the chance to continue monitoring him (Ndlovu) when he plays for the Zimbabwe national team at the COSAFA Cup. Yes, it's believed that the scouts and recruiters are happy and this will give them a first-hand chance to see him in action before they could finalise anything,' said the second source to the same publication.
