Llandrindod Wells school wins Welsh language award
A Llandrindod Wells primary school has earned a prestigious Welsh language award. Franksbridge CP School has been recognised with the Cymraeg Campus Silver Award for its commitment to promoting the Welsh language in daily school life and the wider community. The award reflects the school's efforts to celebrate Welsh identity, foster a strong Welsh ethos, and encourage the use of Welsh throughout the school day. Mrs Wilkie, headteacher at Franksbridge CP School, said: "We are delighted to have achieved the prestigious Gwobr Arian award in recognition of our whole-school commitments to celebrating and developing the use of Welsh in our school and its community. "Our journey to Gwobr Arian (Silver Award) has been very rewarding and I am proud of the effort and enthusiasm of all members of our school. '24 Oras' special reports on POGO win silver at US International Awards
GMA Integrated News' flagship program "24 Oras" has been honored with a Silver Award at the prestigious US International Awards for its in-depth and comprehensive reporting on the impact of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) in the country. According to Sandra Aguinaldo's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, the winning reports were recognized in the "Documentaries & Reports - Social Issues" category. The special reports, which aired in December and January, delved into the dark and bloody world of POGO and exposed issues ranging from syndicates involved in various forms of fraud to human trafficking incidents and even cases of torture. In addition to "24 Oras," "Unang Balita" was also recognized as a finalist in the "Documentaries & Reports - Environment, Ecology & Sustainability" category for its report titled "Pinsala ng El Niño." The US International Awards celebrate the finest branded video productions and documentaries from around the globe.
