MP gets over Rs 30k crore investment proposals at RISE conclave in Ratlam
Indore: The Madhya Pradesh govt has received investment proposals worth Rs30,402 crore at Ratlam RISE Conclave, which would help generate 35,520 jobs, chief minister Mohan Yadav said on Friday. Yadav was speaking at the 8th Regional Industry, Skill and Employment (RISE) Conclave at Nehru Stadium in Ratlam. He said Madhya Pradesh, along with the rest of the country, is undergoing transformation. Innovations are occurring across all development sectors, creating a favourable investment climate. "Ratlam, once known for apples, sarees, and gold, will now be recognised for skills, scale, and startups," Yadav said, adding that Ratlam has a proud history and its central location in the country makes it special. "Air cargo services will soon be available for goods transportation and discussions with Maharashtra govt are underway to facilitate port services for Madhya Pradesh traders," he said. The govt is making every effort to provide employment to youth, the CM said announcing plans to attract investment from wherever possible and to conduct a roadshow in Surat on June 29 to encourage investors. Yadav announced plans to promote green energy for environmental protection, with existing MSME units investing separately in renewable plants receiving industrial development grant assistance. During the conclave, an MoU was exchanged between the MSME department and Walmart, enhancing market connectivity for small entrepreneurs. Yadav released publications including, 'Successful Entrepreneur-Prosperous State' booklet by the MSME department, 'ITI and Industry Connect'magazine by the skill development department, and 'Youth Sangam' brochure. He performed bhoomi pujan and launched 47 industrial units valued at over Rs1,670 crore with a single click. These projects are expected to create more than 3,780 new jobs, reinforcing the govt's focus on employment-led development. The event also featured virtual inauguration of new industrial areas in Rewa, Sagar, Alirajpur, and Pithampur. Railway stations in Ujjain likely to get upgrade for Simhastha
Ujjain: Railway stations at Chintaman and Panwasa are likely to be upgraded into full-fledged stations for convenience of devotees visiting Ujjain during Simhastha. The in-principle approval to this district administration proposal was given by Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar on Wednesday during a review meeting in Ujjain to assess railways' preparation for Simhastha 2028. Approval was also given for upgrade of Naikhedi, Mohanpura, Pingleshwar, and Vikramnagar stations. During the meeting, discussions were also held on using AI technology for crowd management to ensure balanced crowd at all stations, diverting crowd to other stations if needed, and create holding areas on all routes. The meeting focused on jointly designing routes connecting railway stations and fair area, including holding areas, parking, and other necessary infrastructure. To make Simhastha experience memorable for devotees, establishment of facility centres by the railways in fair area was discussed, which would provide easy access to railway and fair-related information and ticketing facilities. Collector Roshan Kumar Singh said that the district administration had identified 6,000 hectares for parking plans for 2.5 crore devotees, designated land for holding areas in the Simhastha region, planned separate routes for pedestrians and vehicles, laid out road networks to divert crowd, and constructed roads along the riverbank.

Ujjain: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday said that Ujjain is set to become a significant centre for mental peace, spirituality and wellness care, with major infrastructure work currently ongoing in preparation for Simhastha 2028. "The Wellness Summit in Ujjain attracted investment proposals worth crores. Ujjain aims to become a centre for mental peace, spirituality and wellness care for the country and abroad. Infrastructure improvements, including a new four-lane road and railway station upgrades, are underway to facilitate the 2028 Simhastha. The Kanha Close Duct Project and Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi Project aim to keep the Shipra River clean and flowing for the holy bath during Simhastha," said Yadav while addressing the Bawdi festival as part of the Jal Ganga Conservation campaign. The campaign targets water conservation and the improvement of groundwater levels. He also planted a Sindoor tree under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign at the Chintaman Ganesh Temple.
