Chart-topper Aitch took to TikTok to share his first time trying the famous Glasgow treat in a hilarious video. He shows off the batter-covered chocolate bar on the video while saying, "You've got to try it." He psyches himself up before taking a hearty bite out of the deep-fried delicacy. He said: "Yo, I'm in Glasgow and I'm going to try a fried Mars bar for the first time ever and I'm gassed. Let's go. "Don't know about the look of that, but we'll give it a go anyway. "Yeah, you've got to try it. You've got to try it. But anyway, let's go." Chewing on the confectionary concoction, he seems to try to make up his mind over the treat. Eventually, he stops and declares: "You know what? Yeah, it's bad." Fans were quick to jump to the comments of the funny video to share their thoughts. One said: "I swear Scottish people are the only people in Scotland who haven't tried a deep-fried Mars bar." One offered up a serving suggestion: "You need to eat it when it's warm and with ice cream." While a third offered an alternative to the famous food: "It's rotten BUT get a tottie scone slice open the top n stick in a few squares of dairymilk to melt... Elite." The Glasgow band took to the Other Stage on Friday afternoon and announced they were going to bring out a special guest. Lead singer Alex Kapranos teased the audience, telling the crowd they would be bringing out an "Italian heritage Glaswegian that goes by the name of Capaldi." The crowd went wild as rumours had been flying around about Lewis Capaldi making his comeback to the festival. We reported how Lewis, 28, triumphantly returned to the festival's main stage last night, two years after having to leave the same stage. But it was a different Capaldi the band had in store for the adoring Worthy Farm crowd. On Wednesday, July 30, fans will be able to get up close and personal with him as he performs his new album, Sweet Illusions. The album was released through Scottish music label Last Night From Glasgow last month and features 11 songs, including his latest single Bin Night. The 67-year-old wanted to ensure it was a more intimate gig for fans to come and see him and his band. It is the first time since his days as the lead singer and guitarist in punk rock band The Dreamboys that he will be the main attraction for a gig. The venue has a capacity of 300, and doors to the show will open at 7pm on the night of the gig, with the show expected to start soon after.

Police were called out to the scene in Lenzie, where they discovered a store had been broken into and money had been robbed from the ATM. The store on Kirkintilloch Road was targeted by the thieves early this morning at just after 2am. Police say their enquiries are ongoing and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward. The musician, who announced a break from touring shortly after his performance at the festival in 2023, has just released his new song Survive. After opening with a few of his hits, Lewis said: "Glastonbury, it's so good to be back! "I'm not going to say too much up here, otherwise I'll probably start crying." Fans were all smiles as they looked forward to watching the Glasgow band take to the stage last night. Glasgow Times photographer Gordon Terris captured shots of gig-goers ahead of the show as part of the Summer Sessions series of concerts. Simple Minds said this was their 'biggest' headline gig in 34 years, since their Real Life tour in 1991. Revellers didn't let the rain dampen their spirits and showed they were definitely Alive And Kicking as they queued up to see the Don't You Forget About Me rockers.
