Brunei's DPMM set top six target in Super League
KUALA LUMPUR: Brunei's Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota (DPMM) FC are targeting a top-six finish in their return to the Super League which begins in August after a 17-year hiatus. DPMM general manager Ali Momin said their target is realistic. "We will try to give the likes of JDT and Selangor a run for their money, but undeniably, we might struggle a bit in our first season back," he said after a signing ceremony on DPMM's 2026-2028 Super League participation today. "We plan to sign seven import players. What's more interesting is that the Malaysian Football League allows us to register Malaysian players as local players. "We have already signed Fairuz Zakaria and are in discussions with Terengganu to sign Akhyar Rashid. "We are also trying to sign the Singapore League's top scorer, Tomoyuki Doi from Geylang International. "Latvian Davis Ikaunieks and Indonesian Ramadhan Sananta have already signed contracts," he added.
