Toto bettor becomes multimillionaire overnight as he wins record-breaking S$12.38 million jackpot
Photo: WM Commons SINGAPORE: A lone punter has scooped a staggering S$12.83 million in the final Toto draw of July, setting a new record for the largest-ever single ticket win in the game's history. The winning numbers in Toto Draw 4035, held at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, were 7, 19, 20, 21, 22, 29, with 37 as the additional number. Interestingly, the draw featured four consecutive numbers, 19, 20, 21, and 22. Such a sequence is believed to be a first in the history of Singapore Pools' Group 1 prize wins. According to Singapore Pools' official website, the life-changing prize was claimed through a QuickPick Ordinary Entry placed via an online betting account, making the unnamed winner the sole recipient of the top prize after three consecutive draws with no Group 1 winner. The draw had seen its jackpot swell past the S$10 million mark due to the rollover. This latest win surpasses the previous single-ticket record set on June 19, when a lone winner walked away with S$12.32 million. This previous record stood for just over six weeks. While all eyes were on the record-breaking Group 1 prize, the draw also brought good fortune to 20 other winners, each bagging S$73,408 from the Group 2 prize tier. Singapore Pools urges members of the public to place bets responsibly. $12.8m Toto jackpot won by single ticket bought online, Singapore News
A single ticket bought online snagged over $12.8 million in prize money at the latest Toto cascade draw on Thursday (July 31). The winning ticket was bought through the Singapore Pools account betting service under the QuickPick Ordinary Entry and was the only one with the winning number combination. The winning numbers were 7, 19, 20, 21, 22, 29, and the additional number was 37. The Toto draw yielded no Group 1 winners in the previous three draws, causing the jackpot to snowball from around $1.2 million on July 21, to $2.9 million on July 24 and $5.8 million on July 28 draw. A cascade draw is triggered when there are no Group 1 winners for three consecutive draws. The jackpot can only snowball up to the fourth draw under Toto rules. There were 20 Group 2 winners who shared the prize of $73,408. Data from Singapore Pools, which tracks all lottery draws since Oct 9, 2014, showed that the Group 1 prize on Thursday was the third highest single winning share, just behind two other prizes that exceeded $13 million. Thursday's draw is the eighth Toto draw of 2025 that had a jackpot of over $10 million, with the most recent one being on July 17, where the prize of $12.8 million was split among 12 Group 2 tickets. The next Toto draw will happen on Monday (Aug 4), with a jackpot of around $1 million up for grabs. [[nid:720341]]

The last flight, 3K685 to Kuala Lumpur, departed at 2.55 pm and marked an emotional moment for many cabin crew and ground staff who gathered to bid farewell. Jocelyn Chow, a 61-year-old flight attendant who spent 13 years with the airline, said she couldn't believe it was the last day of Jetstar Asia. "I feel very sad that there's no more Jetstar Asia, and I'm also honoured to know that I'm operating the last flight out of Changi Airport," she added. Her fellow stewardess Flora Foo, 65, reflected on her 14 years with Jetstar Asia, highlighting the meaningful moments with passengers. She shared that despite it being a "low-cost airline", it was the "little gestures and the simple requests" that made the flight "much more comfortable" for travellers. She said, "And at the end of the day, when they disembark and just say a thank you to you, it really melts your heart." As the final flight departed, airport staff lined the tarmac and waved goodbye. Jetstar Asia announced in June its decision to cease operations by the end of July, leading to the retrenchment of over 500 staff members. CEO John Simeone reported that out of roughly 900 job applications from affected employees, more than half had resulted in job offers or interviews, with some offered roles in airport lounges or the tourism sector. No top winner for $12.7 million Toto draw; 12 Group 2 punters share jackpot
Twelve lucky punters with winning Group 2 tickets will each get a share of about $1.2 million after there were no Group 1 winners in the $12.7 million Toto jackpot on July 17. The winning numbers were 7, 8, 17, 29, 32, 42. The additional number was 1. The prize had snowballed to $12.7 million after the past three draws saw no winners. The Group 1 prize amount will be rolled over only up to the fourth draw. Thereafter, the sum will be shared among the winners in Group 2. The 12 tickets were bought at locations such as a trading store in Tampines Street 21, a provision shop in Race Course Road and a Singapore Pools outlet in Toa Payoh Lorong 1. It is not known if each ticket belonged to an individual or was shared among several people. Meanwhile, 609 tickets won the Group 3 prize, amounting to a share of $1,658 for each. Earlier, the Singapore Pools' website showed that the prize money for the Group 1 category had snowballed from almost $1.2 million on July 7 to about $2.9 million on July 10. The last draw on July 14, which had a prize money of about $5.8 million, had again yielded no winner. The last Toto draw that had a prize sum of over $10 million was on June 19, when a single ticket won the $12.3 million Toto jackpot. The latest draw results are available on the Singapore Pools website.
