This Kashmiri Singer Is Behind Saiyaara's Soul-Stirring Title Track
1/10 While most of the songs in Saiyaara have been sung by Vishal Mishra and composed by Tanishk Bagchi, the film boasts brand new vocals from Faheem Abdullah. The title track has been composed by Faheem and his longtime collaborator, Arslan Nizami. (Image: Instagram) Faheem Abdullah is a Kashmiri artist. He was widely known as The Imaginary Poet by his stage name, an identity he got rid of earlier this year. (Image: Instagram) Faheem and Arslan pooled in their savings to try their luck in Mumbai, with enough money for just two weeks. "We realised that we had enough money for 14 days in Mumbai. So we gave themselves those 14 days in the city," stated Faheem to HT during an interview. As luck would have it, they met Tanishk Bagchi on the 13th day of their stay, and the rest is history. (Image: Instagram) Faheem Abdullah has over over 120,000 followers on Instagram (as of, July 23). On Spotify, he has close to 2 crore monthly listeners. (Image: Instagram) But prior to hitting jackpot with Saiyaara, Faheem found a loyal base with his single Single, one of the most popular music sensations that went viral on Instagram in 2024. (Image: Instagram) "Thanks to Almighty for making us all feel what we have felt in our lives, it sure did shape us as artists and made us make what we have made with utmost passion, love, care and madness. Having grown up watching his films and listening to his film music and now having co sung and co composed the title track for his latest, I am indebted to @mohitsuri for the trust, love, comfort and the shared pain. Saiyaara would mean nothing without @arslannizaami," Faheem wrote on Instagram. (Image: Instagram)

Remember Juice Seyeon, influencer spotted with Bang Si Hyuk in LA? Her shocking income revealed amid HYBE trade drama
Remember Juice Seyeon? The influencer and streamer who caused a stir after being photographed walking with HYBE founder Bang Si-hyuk in Los Angeles is back in the spotlight. At the time, the viral image - showing her crossing the street with her sister and the music mogul - set off a storm of speculation. Seyeon later clarified that the meeting wasn't random; Bang had simply helped them get into the exclusive Nobu restaurant. Now, almost a year later, she's making headlines again - not for who she was seen with, but for revealing her jaw-dropping income. Juice Seyeon's shocking income revealed She once again found herself in the spotlight on July 16, appearing on the "Goddess Edition" of Pajama Party, a popular YouTube talk show by Ige Jinjja Choejong. Joined by Single's Inferno 4 star Kim Ah-rin, the AfreecaTV streamer opened up in an unfiltered chat about past controversies, plastic surgery rumours, and her staggering earnings. She branded herself the "icon of misunderstandings," and addressed a viral incident involving a fan who claimed to have spent ₩1.6 billion on her. Seyeon clarified that the exact sum ranged from ₩30 to ₩40 million. She claimed that she had blocked the fan due to constant, intrusive texts. Among all the excitement, the biggest surprise occurred when she announced her enormous earnings. Seyeon earned ₩100 million on her birthday and more than ₩400 million in one month. She admitted, however, that such money is not continuous and is heavily dependent on how supportive her supporters are at the moment. Bang Si-hyuk under fire for alleged fraud in HYBE IPO In a separate but equally significant event, South Korean financial regulators have submitted HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk to prosecutors for possible violations of the Capital Markets Act. The case contains claims of deceiving investors before HYBE's IPO and pocketing roughly ₩400 billion (approx. $287.6 million). Following a formal assessment, the Securities and Futures Commission, a division of the Financial Services Commission, reported that Bang and several former HYBE executives had been referred for prosecution. This is a big move for President Lee Jae-myung's administration. Officials claim that Bang understated the company's IPO chances in 2019 in order to coerce early investors into selling their shares. He is also thought to have reached a private arrangement with a large private equity firm, promising a portion of future profits after selling his shareholding. In reaction to the issue, the Korea Exchange toughened IPO due diligence procedures to protect investors. HYBE has since published a statement pledging complete cooperation and a commitment to restoring market confidence. Local credit unions will beat the pillar banks in the race to offer customers instant transfers
Sepa instant payments will take 10 seconds or less Credit unions are poised to steal a march on the pillar banks by enabling members to send Revolut-style instant payments from September, ahead of an EU deadline that will require financial institutions to facilitate transactions within 10 seconds. These instant transfers are part of the Single Euro Payments Area (Sepa) system, which was designed to simplify euro-denominated cross-border payments within the EU and make them as fast and simple as domestic transfers. Typically, Sepa transfers take one to two business days – but Sepa instant payments take 10 seconds or less. The EU's Instant Payments Regulation, which was enacted last year, stipulated that bank and payment service providers' systems should be capable of receiving Sepa instant transfers no later than January 9, 2025, and able to send Sepa instant transfers by October 9. The service is limited to countries in the Sepa 'zone', which includes all EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Monaco, Andorra, San Marino, and the Vatican. Banks and payment companies will not be able to charge customers extra to send payments instantly. Last week, a slew of credit unions across the country wrote to members to say they would start offering Sepa instant payments as soon as September, and posted that information on their websites. These included Crosshaven Carrigaline Credit Union, Affinity Credit Union, and Claddagh Credit Union. Cara Credit Union, which has branches in Co Kerry, said on its website that it would offer instant payments from September 1. Cara is part of Metamo, a business-to-business joint venture that provides products and services to credit unions. It has attracted investment from Fexco, the Kerry-headquartered financial services group. Payac, the credit union-owned payments provider, last year signed an agreement with Milan-based payment technology firm Nexi to deliver Sepa instant payments to all participating credit unions in Ireland. The pillar banks planned an instant payments app, but it was beset by problems Payac, the Irish League of Credit Unions, and the Credit Union Development Association did not have anyone available to comment on the timelines for implementation when contacted by the Sunday Independent last week. The main retail banks had planned to launch an instant payments app called Yippay to rival Revolut and N26, through a joint venture called Synch Payments – but the initiative was beset by delays and regulatory challenges. The banks finally pulled the plug on the app in late 2023, four months after the Central Bank said the planned new service needed to be authorised by it. Plans for the venture were co-ordinated by the Banking and Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI). A spokesperson for the BPFI last week told the Sunday Independent that the rollout of Sepa instant payments 'will be phased in the run-up to October 9, according to the specific schedules of each individual bank and payment service provider.' PTSB last week emailed customers to inform them they would be able to send instant payments from October 9. A spokesperson for Bank of Ireland said its customers can use instant payments via the 365 app and online banking service 'on or before October 9'. In Ireland, 280 credit unions offer current accounts that come with online banking, a mobile app, and contactless payments.
