The industrious midfield man has made the switch to Austrian Bundesliga side SV Ried for a fee in the region of €725k (R15 million). That might sound like a decent figure for the club, but let's do a quick projection exercise. Let's assume SV Ried keeps Maart for a year and then opts to sell him to a much wealthier club. What sort of fee could they attract? At least triple what they paid Chiefs for his services? Click for the story Let us know by leaving a comment below or sending a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Kaizer Chiefs news: Lost relationship and new midfielder
It's fair to say Kaizer Chiefs have lost a reliable recruitment relationship following the abrupt sale of SuperSport United to the newly formed Siwelele FC. The now-defunct SuperSport United had become a trusted talent pipeline for Kaizer Chiefs, supplying three signings in just two years. While it was a free transfer, the relationship came to life in 2023 with the arrival of Botswana international Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, who joined Amakhosi that year. The centre-back quickly established himself as a mainstay in Amakhosi's defence before he was sold to Al-Ittihad in Libya last term. According to Katsande, Ndlovu is the standout deal. As a former captain and midfield enforcer at Amakhosi, Katsande's opinion carries weight. Kaizer Chiefs lose business relationship with PSL club
You could say that Kaizer Chiefs have lost a reliable recruitment relationship following the abrupt sale of SuperSport United to the newly formed Siwelele FC. Transfer deals score: Orlando Pirates 11-6 Kaizer Chiefs Most recently, midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu became the third player to switch from SuperSport to Kaizer Chiefs, signing a three-year deal. His arrival was seen as a major boost to the club's midfield options ahead of a demanding season that will include the CAF Confederation Cup. However, following the club's acquisition and relocation, Supersport United is now under new ownership as Siwelele FC, leaving the relationship with Kaizer Chiefs uncertain and possibly lost. This is the best Kaizer Chiefs signing so far
Former Kaizer Chiefs midfield ace, Willard Katsande, believes the Betway Premiership giants have signed a gem of a midfielder in Siphesihle Ndlovu. Kaizer Chiefs bolstered their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season, adding Ethan Chislett, Flavio Silva, Thabiso Monyane, Paseka Mako, Nkanyiso Shinga, and, notably, Siphesihle Ndlovu, signed from the now-defunct SuperSport United. According to Katsande, Ndlovu is the standout deal. As a former captain and midfield enforcer at Amakhosi, Katsande's opinion carries weight. His endorsement of Ndlovu speaks volumes about the club's recent activities in the transfer market. Kaizer Chiefs news: Two Bafana Bafana wingers Kaizer Chiefs' new signing Siphesihle Ndlovu. Image: @kaizerchiefs/X 'He's my boy. Because you can see the way he poses,' Katsande said via FARPost . 'Trust me, I've been a fan of him for some time. I could see the way he plays. He's a very energetic boy. If we have to play, we can play; if we have to be stuck in tackles, we can stick in tackles. So I've seen him in a couple of games. New Orlando Pirates star takes number jersey 23 'Even sometimes, when I saw him in one of the matches, when he played at FNB Stadium, I told him, 'boy, you deserve to be here. Not the other way around'. So I'm happy that the club brought him on board because he's going to bring a lot of quality and value to the team. Ndlovu, who lifted the MTN8 title with Orlando Pirates in 2011, already has 229 matches in South Africa's top-flight despite his age of 28. 'Even experience‑wise, you know, he's somebody who has won the trophies and somebody who knows how to play for a big team,' the former Kaizer Chiefs number six added. 'So he's going to be good, and he's going to rub it into the young ones because he does have a never‑die spirit. And you could see the way he plays. 'He's just an unbelievable boy. I can't wait for him to play. I wish he can get number 31. For him to remember me. But I'm happy for him. He's a very good boy,' Katsande concluded.
