Orlando Pirates have signed a total of eight players. Whilst, they have released four. Orlando Pirates squad revamp continues to result in major changes to playing personnel. Timm departed the club amicably. However, the same can't be said for Mako and Monyane. Both outgoing Pirates stars are linked with moves to Soweto rivals, Kaizer Chiefs. BREAKING: Orlando Pirates beat Kaizer Chiefs to Oswin Appollis!
Orlando Pirates have pulled off the signing of the transfer window so far, hurting rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the process! Pirates had already announced eight signings, but the ninth is arguably their best yet, beating Chiefs to it as well. Last week, Pirates stole the show with the signing Sipho Mbule, a player announced out of nowhere. The midfielder himself, was also linked and offered to Chiefs upon his release from Mamelodi Sundowns. But in the end he was announced as a Buccaneers in a move that shut down the internet. Now as they prepare to go on their pre-season tour next month, they have dropped yet another bomb that has shut down the internet, That comes after Pirates announced the marquee signing of attacker Oswin Appollis from Polokwane City. The Bafana Bafana attacker was also profusely linked with Chiefs in the last three transfer windows, but is now officially a Sea Robber. Orlando Pirates' new signing Sipho Mbule has been the most-spoken about player in South African football since June. Why? He is an elegant midfielder that was heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs. Orlando Pirates star's contract details revealed before Spain tour
Orlando Pirates' Sipho Mbule has officially joined on a free transfer ahead of the 2025/2026 Betway Premiership season, ending months of speculation surrounding his future. The 27-year-old midfielder penned a one-year deal with the Soweto giants, with an option to extend his stay for a further two years. The former SuperSport United playmaker became a free agent after Mamelodi Sundowns declined to activate the extension clause in his contract. Pirates capitalised swiftly, adding Mbule to an already impressive list of new recruits this window. Mbule, affectionately known as 'Master Chef', joins a formidable group of arrivals at Mayfair.
