Renowned producer and distributor Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments has acquired the Telugu distribution rights of the film for a reported Rs 80 crore, suggests reports. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is a highly anticipated addition to the YRF Spy Universe and serves as a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War. The film is slated to hit cinemas on August 14, 2025. It marks the first on-screen collaboration between Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan. Confirming the acquisition, Naga Vamsi expressed excitement about reuniting with Jr NTR following their previous collaborations in Devara and Aravinda Sametha. Calling Jr NTR the 'man of the masses," Vamsi urged fans to gear up for a never-before-seen avatar of the actor in this high-octane action thriller. Take a look: As per media reports, Naga Vamsi's Sithara Entertainments secured the Telugu distribution rights for approximately Rs 80 crore. However, the producer has not officially confirmed the deal amount. Produced by Yash Raj Films, War 2 is a key instalment in the studio's ambitious Spy Universe. Featuring a screenplay by Shridhar Raghavan and dialogues penned by Abbas Tyrewala, the high-octane action thriller is set to release in theatres on August 14. The film will be available in both standard and IMAX formats. Actors Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR will not be sharing the stage during the promotions of War 2. According to reports, the two stars, who play fierce rivals in the film, will be keeping their promotional activities separate. The duo is expected to reunite only on the big screen. A senior trade source said in a statement, 'Hrithik and Jr NTR will be promoting 'War 2' separately and all plans have been made, keeping in mind that they will never share the stage together, never be in any promotional video pre-release together and never seen with each other. ‘Suriya46' goes on floors with grand launch
The much-awaited #Suriya46, officially titled as Sithara Entertainments' Production No. 33, has kickstarted its shoot with much fanfare. The film was launched recently with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad, and the makers have now begun principal photography. This bilingual project marks a dynamic collaboration between Tamil superstar Suriya and director Venky Atluri. The film, which will be released in both Tamil and Telugu, already has fans buzzing with excitement. A striking poster showcasing Suriya in a stylish back pose was unveiled with the caption, 'And the Celebration Begins,' adding to the anticipation. Known for his powerful performances and diverse role choices, Suriya has a strong fan base across South India. His partnership with Venky Atluri — fresh from his recent hits Sir/Vaathi and Lucky Baskhar — has further raised expectations for this venture. The film features Premalu star Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Adding to the star power, Raveena Tandon makes a notable comeback to Telugu cinema, while veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar will be seen in a key role. GV Prakash Kumar, who previously worked with Venky Atluri, returns as the music director. At ‘Retro' event, Suriya confirms teaming up with Venky Atluri for ‘Suriya 46'; film to go on floors in May
Tamil superstar Suriya on Saturday confirmed that he is teaming up with Lucky Baskhar-maker Venky Atluri and producer Naga Vamsi for his upcoming Tamil film. The actor announced the project, tentatively called Suriya 46, at the special pre-release event of his upcoming release, Retro, in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, Suriya said, 'I have to announce this today. I have to start with Allu Arvind garu; the whole journey started with him,' for context, the project is said to be initiated by producer Allu Arvind, 'With his blessings — you have been waiting for this announcement — we are associating with Sithara Entertainments' Vamsi garu and my dear brother Venky here.' 'This will be my next. As you've all been asking, after a long time, with beautiful association and beautiful talent here, we will be doing my next Tamil film. I will be shooting and spending a lot of time here in beautiful Hyderabad. From May onwards, we start our next. We need all your love, we need all your blessings.
